It is with great honor that I, Congressman Al Lawson Jr., write this letter of endorsement to the Charmettes, Incorporated of the Leon County Chapter in support of the 3rd Annual Dr. Eva C. Wanton Women of Faith Praying for a Cure Recognition Luncheon. It is with great pleasure that I recognize the service and bravery of this year’s honorees. The fight against cancer takes strength, bravery, and caring individuals. Winning the battle with cancer could not be done without selfless deeds and commitment to others to take on the fight while also giving back to the community. This year’s honorees and the Charmettes are incredible examples of how commitment to community positively impacts the lives of others. The dedication from these individuals

Many people can relate to his personal battle with cancer and his dedication to cancer research. His speech was full of emotion. He gave examples of his anguish during a seven-day stay before the awards ceremony, explaining his liver complications, kidney failure, and multiple surgeries. This provided the audience with real life experiences to understand the depth of what this award stands for.
Through the efforts of this evening, we look forward to supporting the “AHEPA Service Dogs for Warriors, the Lt. Dennis Zilinski II Memorial Fund and the national K9S for Warriors” organization. Four very important organizations working together for one significant cause.
“Don’t give up, don’t ever give up.” The words of the great Jimmy Valvano. Jimmy was a Men’s Basketball Coach at N.C. State University. He is one of the greatest coaches of all time. But he is also the man who delivered the “Never Give Up” speech at the ESPY Awards in 1993. This has inspired so many people. It’s the thought of Cancer that often brings Jimmy into mind. Stuart Scott is also very inspirational when it comes to cancer. A real inspiration is Mrs. Spatz. She has beat cancer 4 times. Over and over again, she has fought and beat cancer. She is now a teacher at Wyndcroft Private School in Pottstown. Although she is my mother, she creates inspiration for many
We can not begin the thank you enough for the Hero Award you and the Luft Family presented to Preston. We feel so honored and appreciate that both families were able to come and present this to him. It means so much to know that Preston is out on the roads helping bring awareness to different causes and running in honor of those who can not. Preston may not speak words but I know he is so proud of this Hero Award. Again, Thank You for this special award and being present to present it to him on awards night. Hugs to all!
I couldn't bear it. When my father pulled up to the curb, I quickly kissed them both good-bye and jumped out of the car. I was just about inside when I heard a funny sound that sounded like my name. I stopped in my tracks and turned around. There was Suzy, standing up outside the car on wobbly knees, wig slightly askew. With her arms outstretched, she said gently, "Good-bye, Nanny, I love you." I hugged her so hard I was afraid she might crumble. And then I ran to catch my plane. I never saw my sister alive again. After nine operations, three courses of chemotherapy and radiation, she had lost her three-year war. By the time I flew back to her side it was too late. She was gone.” Nancy founded the Susan G Komen foundation to save as many people from going through what her sister and her family went though. Susan G Komen foundation is dedicated to finding a cure for breast cancer so that there are no more sad stories like the one you just heard me tell about Nancy and Susan. The Susan G Komen foundation has come long way and has had a huge impact on the fight against breast cancer, I support them and I know they will never give up until we find a cure for breast cancer, and neither will I.
Most people in American feel like they have to do what is justful for our country.
Since the beginning of my high school career I have embodied the four pillars of National Honor Society. The past summer I spent over a hundred hours volunteering at Pocono Medical Center. At PMC I was entrusted to escort patients being discharged by wheelchair or walking,

I would like to take the time to thank you for your incredible generosity in awarding me with the Kelley & Shannon Gibson Bluegrass Scholarship. Coming to SUNY Plattsburgh, I was looking for a club that would allow me to express myself musically and would also help me to build friendships that would last throughout college. I am glad that the bluegrass club ended up being the club that provided me with so many opportunities.
According to the National Cancer Institute, everyday 43 kids are diagnosed with cancer, and in a year over 1,960 of them will die. That’s why the America Make a Wish Foundation grants a wish every 35 minutes to kids with life threatening diseases. They believe that in some cases, giving the kids their one heartfelt wish could be a real game changer. That's why, one way I’m going to pay it forward is sponsoring a wish.
It is a huge deal when someone is free from cancer, so we want to celebrate this amazing
The first scaffold scene sets a pattern for the next two, giving a base for Hawthorne to build off of when he talks about the next two. Hester and Pearl are on the scaffold alone, waiting for the town to ridicule them. Hester starts daydreaming while in the scaffold because she doesn’t want anyone to see how she is truly feeling. She doesn’t want the sympathy of anyone in the town. She wears her Scarlet A on her chest which she has embroidered magnificently, but she does not want anyone to see it. So she tries to place Pearl over it as a means to hide it. But as Pearl is a Scarlet Letter herself all she does is draw more attention to her sin. Dimmesdale watches from the side with other leaders from the town, knowing he too should be ridiculed,
The novel “1984” by George Orwell is a highly praised and influential work in the dystopian genre. Since its release in 1949, its themes have been admired by many, and its world an alarming insight into a seemingly foreign, but very possible situation.
