Dear Robert E. McNair Scholarship Donor, I am very grateful to be a recipient of this year's generous scholarship! Thank you, for establishing a scholarship at Midlands Technical College. Life is full of opportunities, so my motto is "Why not chase them and be the best you can be". Motivational and creative are two words that describe me. I will graduate next year with an Associate in Applied Science and then plan to get a cosmetology license at Paul Mitchell in Columbia, South Carolina. I grew up in a small, quiet community in Hopkins, South Carolina. It is safe to say, I have a peaceful soul for my age. My major goal is to get a two-year degree in Health Information Management and use the degree to save lives in the healthcare through my
If you sat down and looked at me, you would not think of me being driven, or an over achiever. You thought right, but that must change. I want to achieve my dream job, which is to be a software engineer and designer. I have always wanted to work in this field. From a very young age I’ve loved computers. They have always interested me, and that is why this is my Ithaca. This goal will take a lot of hard work to get to, though. Achieving my dream occupation will be difficult, but if I maintain focus, face my fears, and work hard, I believe I can do it.
I am truly honored to accept the Joseph Fleming Endowment Scholarship. Thank you for the honor to receive this scholarship and the assistance for my education from Iowa State University. My childhood dream was to come Iowa State and to study agriculture. I can’t thank you enough for the scholarship award to help me finance my education at Iowa State.
Career goals and education at this point is getting my generals done and transferring to a university. My career goals are pretty open, with thoughts toward two complete different fields: business management or early childhood development. A lot of challenges have come from my education. Yes, I went to school my whole life but I changed school around seven different times before settling in one location. My family often moved around a lot because my parents work required us to be close to the surrounding area. Education with my family really pushed me to graduate because not a single member of my family has graduated from high school. For me education
I would like to take the time to thank you for your incredible generosity in awarding me with the Kelley & Shannon Gibson Bluegrass Scholarship. Coming to SUNY Plattsburgh, I was looking for a club that would allow me to express myself musically and would also help me to build friendships that would last throughout college. I am glad that the bluegrass club ended up being the club that provided me with so many opportunities.
As a high achieving and dedicated student of Kilcoy State High School, I feel that I am worthy of being awarded an academic scholarship for 2017-2018. To address the basic criteria given, I am currently enrolled in year 10 and I intend to complete a QCE over 2017 & 2018. My school attendance has been excellent over the past 5 ½ semesters (two days absent total - approximately 99.5% attendance). I have consistently achieved A’s in all of my subjects over that period with the exception of one B in Year 8 HPE. These achievements can be attributed to my effort, persistence, commitment and dedication toward my schoolwork, both in class and at home.
Everyone has encountered an individual in their life that that has greatly influenced them to be the person they are today. Some will find it is through direct family members, friends, or a public figure. In my own life, that individual is musician and poet Alex Turner. He has influenced me in a number of ways including; inspiring me to take writing seriously, introducing me to new literature, and teaching me the art of thinking before speaking.
Since graduation, can you share where you are in accomplishing the goals you have set for yourself?
As a Duncanville native, it would be an honor to represent my city as a winner of the scholarship, however, the desire for recognition is not what qualifies me as a possible candidate. The attributes I have gained through my leadership positions are what I believe set me apart from the others. Additionally, if selected, the scholarship could help me pursue my ambitious educational goals.
When I walked on campus my freshman year, I was not thinking about the rising costs of college. I was only thinking about how thankful for the opportunity to attend Drury University, for the local scholarships I was awarded at my senior honors night at East Peoria Community High School, for the Federal Government Pell and SEOG Grants I received and the $15,000 of institutional scholarships I was offered and accepted from Drury University. I was not counting on my brother dropping out of school, causing my families Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) to double the following year (which caused the Federal Pell and SEOG grant to fall off my Financial Aid Report.) I was not anticipating to find my college courses difficult, after all, I graduated 18th of 255 in
I am extremely honored to be here tonight, and grateful to have been selected as the recipient of the Wagner’s scholarship. I am grateful for the recognition I have received for my work here at Henry Ford Village. I would like to especially thank the Wagner family for their amazing generosity which will allow me to be one step closer to my dream of becoming an engineer. I would like to express my gratitude for your financial support. It is because of your generosity that I am able to focus on my studies instead of worrying about financial issues. I rely on financial aid, grants and student loans to help finance my education. Receiving this scholarship will help reduce my financial burdens and provide assistance for
It is my honor to speak from the bottom of my heart about how deeply I appreciate for your kind donation to BMCC foundation Inc Scholarship. It is my first scholarship ever I received in my entire life and it is truly one of the golden moments in life that I would always remember and keep it securely in my memory.
My goal is to continue my education at Liberty University until completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration. I believe God has called me to care for and assist people. I've been part of the health care services over 20 years and can't imagine entering a new field. I will continue to push myself until I reach my goal. Unfortunately, I don't have good study skills, but enjoyed reading the lecture notes and will practice those skills in the future.
I have been raised to grow up and be happy to wake up and go to my job. My goal is to utilize my skills in math to create new technology and systems that are clean and efficient. I seek a degree in electrical engineering to do just that. Taking multiple math classes, I've developed a love for problem solving. I hope to work on both small and large scale projects to help not only make advancements in technology but also preserve the environment. I aspire to create and build electrical systems that apply my education and are safe for everyone to limit pollution and wasted energy. I aspire to never stop having goals and to continue pushing my self to become smarter and contribute to the
My plan for my future self is to be successful in any type of way possible and just make a good creative career the best way I can. Ever since I was a kid, I was in love with animals and hoped to make the animal environment a positive thing in the world and possibly become a Veterinarian. As I grew older, I started to think about how much time and effort I would have to put into what I wanted to become, but my mind was focusing on mainly helping people as I do today. I’ve never really been a straight “A” student and it is probably time to start focusing on how reality is and get my head in the game we call life!
The short-term goals I established are simple, but have a great impact on what I hope to achieve in the future. After completing my associate’s degree
