I am writing this nomination letter in support of my sorority sister Abby Cater. There are many reasons as to why I believe she is deserving of the Member of the Year Award. As our Philanthropy Vice President, Abby has worked tirelessly to meet our philanthropy goals and improve our events. The role of Philanthropy Vice President requires constant work throughout the year and many of it is done behind the scenes. Only Abby’s closest friends have seen the effort she has poured into her position this past year. She has gone the extra mile when she could have settled for doing the bare minimum required of her. This is why Alpha Xi Delta has been so lucky to have her as our Philanthropy Vice President. Abby works extremely hard at everything she
Simply being invited to become a member of the National Honor Society is a privilege. It’s not necessarily surprising to me that I was invited but rather gives me an exhilarating feeling. A part of me now knows that my sedulous efforts have finally paid off. Throughout my high school career so far I’ve exhibited the four pillars, which are scholarship, leadership, character, and service. This organization administers a plethora of opportunities that has an impact on the students and the lives of others especially. To be accepted into the National Honor Society would motivate me to contribute even more to not only our school but also the community.
I am privileged to be one of the remarkable students qualified to join Eureka High School’s National Honor Society. I have been looking forward to applying to this organization as it provides influential help in our society. I would be privileged to join this distinguished association because it would provide me with opportunities to get involved in my community. As a hardworking, helpful, and friendly individual, I feel that I would make an auxiliary member to this organization. I demonstrate the qualities that are necessary to join this prestigious society, including leadership, character, scholarship, and service.
Thank you for your consideration of me as a candidate for the National Honor Society, it means a tremendous deal to me. I have worked extremely hard to earn my chance to become a member of the National Honor Society and this application resembles a small prize on the enduring path to success for me. I believe, as a member of the National Honor Society, I will be able to enhance my spirit of service and accomplish more service goals and projects. Although, I already have many leadership skills under my belt, I can only imagine the many more skills I will gain from being a member of the National Honor Society. I believe you can never stop learning.
After receiving the award, I continue to visit the residents at St. Barnabas and share my gifts of music, by playing the piano, flute, and leading group sing-a-longs. I throw myself into my activities and do so with a happy, humble heart. An important quality I possess includes my integrity and respect. I always uphold strong moral integrity and respect those around me. I understand that you must treat others as you would want to be treated, and to be respected, you must do the right thing even when no one is watching. I am a strong leader as I am a person who takes action and gets involved, in order to help others and the team. When I see an opportunity to be supportive and to lend a helping hand, I jump in. I am not a person who sits in the background and waits for someone else to do something. I am a go-getter, who thrives on helping those around me. I am very organized with all of my activities, both academically and socially. I input over 200%. I understand that without a strong work ethic and passion, only the minimal will be accomplished. As Class Secretary for the past four years and as upcoming National Honor Society Peer-Tutoring Coordinator, I remain organized in sending emails, marking attendance, collaborating new ideas and fundraising opportunities, and encouraging others. I am an effective communicator as I understand that each voice matters. I do not speak just to hear my own voice, and I value the thoughts of others. I speak up when I have
Good evening! My name is Isabella Smith and I am applying to National Honor Society for the upcoming year. I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to join this club as it is a wonderful way for me to make a difference in the community. It would really mean a lot if you would take the time to fill out a recommendation for me.
It is an honor to have Hayley Jackson inducted into Duchesne's National Honors Society. Hayley is very active in many of the clubs here at Duchesne. One of the many clubs she is involved in is drama club. Through drama club she has learned to love public speaking and use it to her advantage for schoolwork. She is also very involved in campus ministry in which she gets to shine as a leader and lead some of their sessions. She has shown that she is a leader through being the speech team captain and more importantly the pro life vice president. Being a pro life vice president, she stands against the crowd and stands up for her own beliefs showing true leadership. Through all of these activities, Hayley Jackson has shown all of the pillars of National Honors Society: leadership, scholarship, service, and character.Once again, it is honor to have you as a member of the National Honors
At the University of Iowa I am currently involved with greek life, specifically the sorority Pi Beta Phi. Being in the chapter involves many different aspects. The chapter's philanthropy is called, "Read, Lead, Achieve." Pi Beta Phi is dedicated to help raise money to donate to literacy causes. Pi Beta Phi has also donated 1 million books to children in need of materials. I chose to join this sorority for their philanthropy, because I value literacy as a future teacher. I also hold a position in my chapter, a Policy and Standards Board member. This means myself and a team hold the women in our chapter accountable for any misbehavior, and work with them to find ways to change it.
Growing up, most kids in my generation had Disney Channel or Barbie Dolls. As I was raised with 6 siblings and cousins and having just emigrated from England, my family did not have ample money to expend on cable or fancy toys; subsequently, I resorted to books. As I read more and more, my interests began to broaden, and my keen admiration and curiosity for how and why things work in certain ways progressed. As I grew older, I realized that science could be used to answer many of life’s most complex questions. Once I was accepted early into The University of Georgia, I declared my major as Biology with a pre-medical intent, deciding to further pursue my curiosity about living organisms. I soon realized that I needed to achieve more, and decided
I nominate Maritza Norman for the Mission Award because Maritza is a valued employee that always goes above and beyond in all aspects of her work. Whether it be doing things on her own, communicating with her co-workers and/or clients she makes it a point to overcome obstacles in her path to ensure that a solution is given to help them achieve their own goals. She is a devoted worker that aims to achieve perfection on a daily basis and will admit to her own faults to allow her room to exceed and overcome her own obstacles and be able to provide a better service for herself, her co-workers and the clients that she serves. Maritza shows that she is devoted to the Mission of Catholic Charities in the way that she makes herself readily available
This letter is a personal recommendation for Alexandra Almaguer. Alex has been a volunteer at my former job at Windsor Senior Living for over three years. She has been actively involved in our music program Memories in the Making. She has helped organize a fundraiser for iPods to be donated to our residents. This program has put smiles on many of my residents’ faces and I know she has personally affected many of their lives for the better. She has shown great leadership and communicational skills. She has been one of the most determined and hard-working volunteer and student that I know. She puts an immense amount of effort in everything she does and I believe that whatever she plans to do in the future, she will have a positive impact on
Langford has initiated an updated the handbook, dress code, courtesy rules, a new reading program, a flux of recreation options, new volunteers and guest speakers, more field trips, student of the month, new incentives for higher levels students, and has implemented follow through services for youth after graduation of ADTC. Mr. Langford is consistently involved in community programs weather it’s Relay for life, food drives, or helping youth learn softball. I have had to the pleasure to work under Mr. Langford for the past six years and in my observations he has always been the definition of the ideal professional and even better person. This guy seems to do it all and never ask for anything in return, in fact if he knew I was submitting this it would probably end up in the shredder, because he simply does not fuel his drive from his ego but from his character. Mr. Langford has been a major impact in DJJ for over 20 years with a wide range of rescores and knowledge. This nomination was not for what he has accomplished in the past years (that would be too long of a letter) but what he is achieving currently. He just will not allow himself to become “burnt out” or bitter, but has only picked up momentum as he furthers his career and continues to affects everyone else along the way to a positive
It's my great pleasure to recommend Rebecca Reyes for the DAR Good Citizens Program and Scholarship Contest. I got to know Rebecca as her English II Pre-AP and AP English Language and Composition teacher. From the first day of class, Rebecca impressed me with her ability to understand and grasp the most difficult concepts in the material, her dedication to always giving her best in all of her assignments and her passion for knowledge. However, what I admired the most about Rebecca was her ability to be one of the best performing students in her school, yet still, involve herself in after school activities and her community.
I am writing to express my interest in the application for the role of 2015-16 freshman representative. I think that I could be a great class representative and leader for this class. I feel that as a leader I can communicate ideas well, and will stand my ground on a decided upon decision. I can also think comprehensively and hear out what other people have to say. I also think that all types of people should be accepted and listened to. I am applying for student representative because I want to help people, and help to make this year great for the students in not only an academic way, but help make it fun too. This would also look great on a college application. I think that this year we can make our class the best class that has ever graduated
I am writing to recommend Kiara Patton to the Assembly Fellowship Program. As a student assistant for the Office of Legislative Counsel, Kiara exhibited her many personal and professional strengths, including her strong written communication skills. As a resolution writer, she also demonstrated her adept research and critical thinking skills, as well as her creativity. For instance, Kiara skillfully provided consultative services, made recommendations, and advised legislative staff on how they might resolve issues that would be susceptible to the objection of the Senate or Assembly Committee on Rules. She also worked closely with legislative staff to ensure the final draft reflected favorably on the member of the legislature that would be presenting her work.
The message I’m trying to get across is that as a female a lot of the times we are over protected as a kid that once that transition to college happens, disorientation happens and all these bad decisions start being made. I used alcohol and lifestyle to get my message across. The reason why I chose to write a letter to my daughter is because a mother will always be more thoughtful with her kids and making a letter seem more deep and thoughtful, more than a text message or e-mail would. Having the message being such a hard topic, but usual problem I thought it was important to talk about how females can even get rapped, or take advantage of while being intoxicated. To support my argument, I talked about why females drink and a real life story
