"Lizzie Borden took an axe, and gave her mother forty whacks; When she saw what she had done, she gave her father forty-one." Wrong. It is all wrong because Lizzie Borden is innocent. In 1892, the murders of Andrew and Abby Borden were committed. The real question is, is Lizzie Borden guilty or innocent? I strongly believe that Lizzie Borden is not guilty for the murder of her father and stepmother. I have these beliefs because there is no physical evidence proving that Lizzie is guilty, she wrote letters showing grief and a sensitive side, and Andrew had many people against him due to his business dealings. Altogether, it is simply not a possibility that Lizzie is guilty.
Physical evidence is something that is needed if you want to prove

People made her seem like someone with a black heart, and no feelings because of the ways that they talked about her. What they didn’t know, is that Lizzie actually did have feelings, and she expressed them within these letters. With this being said, these letters somehow just seem to disappear in the wind because they don’t fit in with the stereotypical story about Lizzie Borden being guilty.
Andrew Borden was a man with many things in life, one of the most important being his business. With business, there comes many things. You may gain money, you may lose money. You may become more liked, you may become more hated. One of the biggest things you may gain are friends, and one of the biggest things you may gain are enemies. The last fact is that Andrew Borden had enemies. On the contrary, people may say that Lizzie had strong motives that would have caused her to kill her father and stepmother. Lizzie Borden’s testament implies,
“A. There was a man that came there that he had trouble with. I don't know who the man was.
Q. When?
A. I cannot locate the time exactly. It was within two weeks. That is, I don’t know the date or the day of the month.
Q. Tell all you saw and heard.
A. I did not see anything. I heard the bell ring and
There has been years of people who are trying to solve the 19th century murder case of Lizzie Borden's father and stepmother. Today people still do not know if Lizzie was innocent or guilty of murdering them Andrew and Abby Borden. There has been a lot of evidence of her and other people that were there at the time of the murder. In my opinion I feel Lizzie Borden was guilty of murdering her father and stepmother. In the article, “Fourteen Reasons to Believe LIzzie Murdered Her Parents,” it states “only Lizzie was known to be in the house at the time of Abby Borden’s murder.”
“Was Lizzie Borden Really Innocent” The number of kids that kill their parents is unbelievable. They usually have a motive. Lizzie Borden didn’t.
Lizzie Borden was a suspect in the murder of the Borden parents which were killed with an ax in August of 1892, they lived in a greenhouse in Maryland in the town called fall river. Although she was not convicted of the murder of Andrew and Sarah Borden. I think lizzie borden killed her parents and this is why. There was many weird things about lizzie borden. Why would she kill her own parents? Her dad was very wealthy and her stepmom was greedy but if her father died she would inherit what would now 7 million dollars and she felt like she owed it to her real mom, who had been “replaced” her stepmom after her mom's random death. She had some weird behaviors before the murders and after. Before her parent's murder, she tried to buy poisonous acids for cleaning the house and they found one of her white dress with inconsistent dark red spots that were hidden in one of her drawers. In this case none was arrested but 2 people including lizzie were tried. Why wasn't Lizzie Borden or anybody else arrested, Lizzie was not arrested because she was just Sunday school teacher, so the court thought that a teacher of Jesus would never do such a thing and, she had a clean record.
The Bordens Murders Unsolved Two people dead. No murderer found. One broken axe. Lizzie Borden is guilty of murdering her parents because she burned a dress that the court asked for as evidence, she said she was in the barn but she lied, and when Mrs.Borden was killed the murderer was still in the home to have killed Mr.Borden a few minutes later.
Lizzie Borden is guilty no doubt. Who else would do it. The first reason why is because she was outraged with
¨Lizzie Borden took an axe and gave her mother forty whacks after she saw what she had done she gave her father forty one.¨ The issue here is that Lizzie Borden was guilty and justice was not done in court. Lizzie should have been locked up and charged for both murders that she was accused of doing. Lizzie Borden is guilty and should be charged with both murders.
Andrew Borden estate was worth $300,000 dollars, which as of 2016 would be $7,901,111. This was a lot of money during the late 1800’s. Lizzie was reported to have arguments with her father regarding a property settlement over the divorce between Andrew and Mrs. Borden. If the investigation was in my hands, I would have thoroughly questioned Lizzie, and requested a full physiological evaluation. I would have also tried to submit the hatchet into evidence, proving that the split in the skull could match that of a hatchet. The repetitive Hatchet blows to the back of Abby Borden’s head shows it was killing out of rage. The only person to have shown signs of animosity towards these individuals was Lizzie Borden. The dispute over property of a wealthy man as Andrew Borden, the dislike people had for him, the divorce Lizzie went through, and her father killing her pet birds leads me to believe there was a motive.
First, a reason why Lizzie Borden is guilty is that Lizzie was being questioned about a dress that she wore the day of the murders, they said blood was found on it and they needed it as evidence, so they asked her to bring it the next day, instead of doing that, she burned it, because she knew there was blood on it and she didn't want to be found guilty. It is possible that she burned it before they told her it was evidence, but her sister later said that the day she was told it was evidence, she burned it that very night.
Lizzie Borden might have slaughtered Abby and Andrew Borden. To point out, detectives have more evidence of her than anyone else. There was no evidence to support Lizzie’s alibi. So, Lizzie Borden lied about what she was doing during the assassinations of her parents. For instance, Lizzie Borden could have slaughtered her parents and hid the murder weapon. Lizzie and her stepmother (Abby) not once got along. She continuously assumed Abby Borden was after her father’s (Andrew) money.; Lizzie Borden hated Abby Borden.
Although Lizzie Borden’s relationship with her step mother wasn’t as precious as it was with her sister, Lizzie’s relationship with her father wasn’t exactly perfect. She was overly jealous when it came to her father. She knew that her dad did not trust her with her estate. I strongly believe that Lizzie Borden is responsible for the murders of her parents Andrew and Abby Borden. She felt provoked by her father’s decision to leave his wealth to his wife. Lizzie knew she wouldn’t have any part of it. I do not believe that she was crazy or ill because her motive was her father’s
First off, Why do you think Lizzie Borden is or is not guilty? The issue of Lizzie Borden is a complex one, but it is vital to discuss because tons of people in the 1800s believed that Lizzie Borden is not guilty. Some people think that she is guilty of a lot of reasons. Everyone from the 1800s tends to believe that Lizzie Borden is an innocent little girl that would never harm anyone in sight, but common sense seems to dedicate that Lizzie Borden is guilty in the murder of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Borden. I claim that Lizzie Borden is guilty of the murder of her parents.
Andrew Borden was a very known man that a lot of people probably didn't like him. The first reason why I think that Lizzie Borden is innocent is because she was not in the house during the murder. The evidence is that when they were in court she said that she was not in the house and that the only people in the house was the maid Bridget Sullivan and the guy that was in the guest room. So what happened was that Andrew Borden and Abby Borden were struck by an axe in the head 17 and 19 times. Lizzie Borden said that she was outside in the shed. BUt there was the maid who was Bridget
It is best described by the closing arguments for Lizzie Borden's defense, made by her attorney, George D. Robinson:
In “The Crucible” the story has taught us about how great and powerful fear can easily take over one another and show how people turn against one another just to protect themselves. One of the characters in the story has shown a great example of this and you can see the great evil that is inside of this person who just lets good innocent people die to protect themselves. Cruel and selfish is what you think or maybe it is the other way around for you. Maybe you think you got to do whatever you got to do to keep going in this puzzle of life. Yes that is true but in this story a girl named Abigail Williams deserves to take all the blame that needs to be taken for all of what has been done in the little town of Salem.
Have you ever been so angry you thought about killing your parents with an axe? Well many people think Lizzie Borden did this exact thing. Lizzie Borden was accused of murdering her step mother and father with a hatchet on August 4, 1892. While on trial, the jury found her innocent, but many other people think her to be guilty. I think that Lizzie Borden is innocent of the murder of Andrew and Abby Borden because she loved her father, didn’t have a problem with her stepmother, and there was no physical evidence found at the crime scene. Lizzie Borden was found innocent by law, so why should it be questioned?
