John F. Kennedy once said, "Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity." Not only does working out help with the process of losing weight, it helps with many internal things. Working out can improve peoples mood, can prevent disease, boost energy, and can improve sleep. Many suggest kids and adults should try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise a day, if possible (Laskowski). There are two main types of workouts, low intensity and high intensity. Both of them have benefits, but it is very controversial which one is better.

It is essential to give the body what it needs to be able to function at the intensity it needs to. One of the most important foods people need that want to loss weight and gain muscles is protein. Some examples of good protein are chicken breast, turkey, salmon, tuna, and egg whites. Another big part of a diet should be carbohydrates. Carbohydrates are what gives the body energy, by providing the muscles with glycogen it helps the body to be able to workout. A good example of carbohydrates to eat is whole wheat bread, potatoes, oatmeal, and rice. Carbohydrates should make up at least fifty percent of the diet. Another part of a good diet should contain fats. Not saturated fats that are bad for the body but saturated ones that help against disease, reduce cholesterol levels and can give some extra energy. Some good fats are olive oil, flax seed oil, safflower oil, sesame oil, and fish body oil. The body also needs a lot of water before and after working out. Experts say that people should drink eight ounces of water every fifteen to twenty minutes during a workout.
