Teri has been going to some meetings and she would like to have the team understand the guidelines of the Budget and Finance Department. In addition, all team members need to understand how student enrollment affects our financial budgets.

Christine will be speaking about BHS at HCDD. Hillary McDonald usually speaks to the high school population about College Now. Currently, will be transition to another individual who will be doing the high school presentation.
Teri reiterated that if high school student are a Junior or Senior they can be working on the BHS certificate. There was discussion if John Duarte would fill in for Hillary or maybe Hillary will help during this transition from Education Partnerships to Student Services take place? Will the recruiters be responsible for the high school presentation at Demo Days?

Employees are given the opportunity to help change a person’s life on a daily basis by helping the students’ progress to a higher education. Consequently, DCHBCUAA STEM professionals have designed and organized an instructional hands-on STEM workshop for students in grades 10-12, to enlighten them on the different facets of professions available in the sciences. One of the speakers at the school board meeting was Laura Root. Her job was to name all of the funds spent and made by the school district, which took longer than most other things that happened during the meeting. Dan Aaker mentioned all the sports teams and how they did to the board, and addressed the fact that the football team is getting new white jerseys. Brian Naasz talked about the elementary-school and about adding a shower to it for handicapped students. Gerald Witte talked about the high-school; mentioning the upcoming prom.
