Topic: Madison Square Garden, often known, as “The Garden” has been the focal point for sports and entertainment in New York City since it’s inception in 1879. The Garden is a building that generates millions of dollars of revenue a year by hosting events. Because of the buildings nature there are different laws and regulations that it must comply with.
Summary: Commonly referred to as the “World’s Most Famous Arena”, Madison Square Garden has hosted some of the most memorable and iconic moments in sports and entertainment history. The Garden has proven to be a profitable building generating revenues by consistently selling out its events. The building recently finished a major overhaul that gave a completely new look to the interior of the arena and the lobby. Recently the Garden has been in a battle with New York City over a lease agreement, which could potentially lead to the end of an era at its current location. The building is also in a dispute with the city to maintain its tax exemption status. The rich history of Madison Square Garden combined with recent events involving the building, have made it an interesting piece of real estate to research and discuss.

Both stadiums are multipurpose facility that’s designed to hold multiple events b. Both have theaters and concert halls for entertainment purposes. c. Another thing that change in The Golden age was the stadiums. “Spectator sports such as basketball, baseball and boxing reached new heights of popularity in the 1920s and massive stadiums were built in cities to cater for the increasing interest of people who wanted to watch and enjoy the excitement of spectator sports”(Alchin par 12). The Premiere Courts will be a full-service multi-sport complex situated along Greensprings Highway in Birmingham, Alabama. There are currently no other sports facilities like this one anywhere in the Birmingham area. The United Center took the place of the old Chicago Stadium on August 18, 1994 and became home of two remarkable teams. The United Center was built by William Wirtz (owner of the Blackhawks), and Jerry Reinsdorf (majority owner of the Blackhawks and team chairman of the Bulls). The Blackhawks and Bulls each own 50 percent of the Center in a joint venture. It is the largest arena in the United Stated and the NBA. The United Center has hosted over 200 events each year and 40 million guests since its grand opening in 1994. It has a seating capacity of 20,917 seats and has kept the old nickname of Chicago Stadium. For the fans, the United Center has places called the Fandemonium, the Locker Room, and the Windy City Grill. The United Center's acoustics were designed to make the noise level loud to recreate "The Roar" like it was at Chicago Stadium. Also the United Center was renovated in 2009 and 2010 to make 169 executive suites on the third level. It also has 144 flat screen televisions, new food and beverage stations, and two new bars that open to panoramic views, new signs, new menu items, new concession stand and seating in 326 called "Backstage", two new novelty areas, and new video systems. The Yankees plan on opening a Metro-North train stop right at the stadium so that fans from neighboring states can easily arrive and depart the game without dealing with the subway or the street traffic, which takes away from the hustle and bustle of the pregame street activities. This includes souvenir shops, food vendors etc. And finally, the most un-baseball related aspect of the new stadium on the list is the fact that Yankee Stadium will be open year round with clubs, restaurants, banquet rooms, conference rooms and business centers, and will host corporate outings, business meetings, bat mitzvahs, seminars and weddings (M.L.B. Similar to colosseums, here in the United States we have baseball stadiums.
