The statement that Medieval Europe was technologically backward is a very bold statement to make. Saying that an entire era progressed backward seems a little hard to believe. Many technologies that we still use today were created from 500-1400. I believe that Medieval Europe made significant improvement in military technology and quality of life aspects that shaped how we live today. Farming practices changed significantly during this time period as well. The medieval times in Europe were filled with advances that made huge changes and shaped history forever.

The people from Rome,China,India,and Persia that had a lot of gold,traded gold for salt. If one were to have a great legacy, then they would have lived a full life knowing that somehow they had an impact on a person’s life, to be honest I would be happy if it’s possible to have an impact on anyone’s! Knowing my kids passed my traits down would be the happiest thing to me, and also would be recognized for my intelligence, humor, and anything in between to let my kids grow up in a healthy environment. My reputation would be fantastic because my kids would probably go around and tell their friends that “My dad is really cool”, and gloating about me, making me feel very happy.

Legacy, what is legacy? Legacy is something that has been passed down to you at some period. Building a legacy does not happen overnight, like Rome was not built in a day, good legacy’s take patience, perseverance, hard work, and a bit of luck too.

Between the periods of 1400 to 1800, there were ways on how literature became broader over time. Around 1500, European explorers journeyed across oceans for miles to reach and explore exciting new place that was filled with possibility, opportunity, promise, and gold; they called this land the New World. Between this time the New World started to change drastically and dramatically, due to the new explores. It must have been very exciting to have books and other printed materials available for the first time. Roman legacies are things that the Romans used that we use today. I think the legacy that impacted our society is Roman Architecture and Engineering. because we use it for our most important things like roads. Also they inspired today's sports stadiums and arches we put on buildings for decoration

The middle ages brought a lot of things to the world the renaissance brought art music drama an there was also some bad things that happen also. During the middle ages some countries was better at controlling their country than others. During the middle ages kings, queens , and knights were the most powerful.

A legacy is a something which is passed from older generations to younger generations. Something to be remembered. One example can be Henrietta Lacks’ cells who were known as the first human immortal cells. They exist to this day, thus having their own legacy. Henrietta Lacks, however, was barely credited for such cells. Which is the reason why she was long forgotten until this book was published. One participant who helped bring up a forgotten legacy is the author of the book, Rebecca Skloot. Nonetheless, I chose to write about Dr. George Gey, whom I think started the process of this legacy.
