A legacy is something that has left behind it can be from many different thing such as a will etc. Some of these things can make a big influence without them even knowing so. These things don’t always have to be left behind for example, in 1879 Thomas Edison was able to create a long lasting light bulb, and now we use light bulbs every day, this would make it a legacy because it is carried throughout time Without medieval Europe most of the things today wouldn’t be here or would not have been invented. Medieval has influenced our world in many different ways. The things that I believe has made a great impact on our world are Medieval Europe’s manuscripts. Manuscripts are basically what they used to call books back then. Without manuscripts today we would have no books, therefore no one would be able to write and read. Manuscripts had to be handwritten and the illustrations had to be hand drawn, whereas now books are printed automatically and pictures are digitally drawn. Since we use books to find out information everyday, without books many things would be much more difficult to so, for example without books teaching children would almost be impossible. In medieval Europe, that was also their main source of wealth and way of getting essentials. In medieval Europe the merchants sold goods to small towns and villages. As the population of medieval Europe grew merchants were no longer selling goods to people, but were dealers, employers and sending things along a trading route linking big European cities.
