Legacy, what is legacy? Legacy is something that has been passed down to you at some period. Building a legacy does not happen overnight, like Rome was not built in a day, good legacy’s take patience, perseverance, hard work, and a bit of luck too. Legacies can be for the good of the people, like when woman got the right to vote. It only took 100 years, but at least they got the right. But then again I’m not saying that legacies are always good, they also can be bad. Take Adolf Hitler’s case, Hitler was responsible for many deaths. The legacy of our generation is environmental issues which are a major concern to me. Building a legacy is changing things; it’s so hard because people do not like changes. For example, in the early 1900s, horse carriages in New York were the big thing, but nothing’s perfect. The horse’s that drives a carriage need to use the bathroom and do their business, and it is not like they have a bathroom for a horse. So the horses just go wherever they want to, leaving New York to have a stench. Many people were very mad because of this and wanted to get rid of the horse carriage. When automobiles became popular, the horse carriages were replaced. Some of those drivers have a …show more content…
As kids, our options are limited, but certainly, we can do our part. We can raise awareness staring from home by 1. Ask parents to use carpool or public transport 2. Use most fuel economy car for majority of use 3. Try to combine trips to save fuel 4. Set low temperature by wearing warm clothes 5. Set higher tem in summer by keeping open windows. We a take pledge to do at least one good thing every day to save the environment. If I leave a better environment for future generations I will considered that as my legacy. Who would have thought we would realize one day that may be the New York carriage driver were right, after all we should not have got rid of the horse carriages and replaced with automobile. Thank
American history is an imperative part of our nation. It allows the upcoming generations to understand the successes and hardships the country has endured. How can the past become the hope for our future? Before answering the complex question, we need to understand what is history. History is not only a class, or a text book, but experiences, stories, and monuments. It is the foundation for the present civilization. Each monument, or memorials are to teach, but also remind younger generations of the fallen citizens, soldiers or public figures and show their sacrifices, and achievements. They are physical stories, instead of being only an account or written in a book.
Have you ever thought about how your actions or opinions affected the environment around you? We’re constantly unaware of what we do that impacts the environment’s condition. One author named Wendell Berry blames the public in his article regarding the way society and the industry has treated the environment and its natural resources. This raises concerns whether we should be putting more importance on the economy or the land that we live in for the sake of our future survival. While I agree with most of Berry’s points and perspectives I slightly disagree with a few of his opinions, but nonetheless he brings up a great matter in today’s modern society.
As a nation, we have to look at what the future would be for our children, their children and the generations ahead. We can start with participating in recycle programs, investing in clean energy and ways to reduce destruction of our forests." Without Americans constant need to consume, the environment would have plenty of time to replenish the resources it provide us." "NIEHS Environmental Coloring Book." National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, an official government website for Kids. 02 Apr. 2009 .
A legacy is something that has left behind it can be from many different thing such as a will etc. Some of these things can make a big influence without them even knowing so. These things don’t always have to be left behind for example, in 1879 Thomas Edison was able to create a long lasting light bulb, and now we use light bulbs every day, this would make it a legacy because it is carried throughout time
Everyone in my generation has probably grown up seeing ads or watching videos about pollution or about the environment in general, so much, to the point that these constant reminders about protecting our planet are already part of the norm for us. While these reminders have had positive effects, like how more and more people have become informed of the Earth’s condition, many people, myself included, still remain indifferent to the threats our environment faces. I won’t lie; I’m no saint or crusader for the cause, but every now and then certain videos or articles strike a chord within me and makes me reflect on the way how I’ve been living affects the environment. One such article was the one we read last week in class, “The Sixth Extinction” by Elizabeth Kolbert in the Upfront magazine.
11 million people that’s a lot right, well this is how many people died due to the brutality of the most brutal dictator known to humankind. This person was Adolf hitler. Hitler was known for his hatred towards jews and people he thought were not perfect. Hitler began the biggest extermination of a race ever. Hitler felt that jews were the reason that germany was in poverty.
Adolf Hitler was born in Branau am inn, Austria, April 20, 1889. He was the fourth of six children to Alois Hitler and Klara Polzl. As a child Hitler clashed frequently with his father. following the death of his younger brother, Edmund, in 1900 he became detached and introverted. Hitler had a interest in the fine arts but his father did not approve, His father wanted him to had a interest in business. Adolf also showed a interest not only to art but to German nationalism, This nationalism would become the motivating force of Hitlers life. His father Alois died suddenly in 1903. A few years later Adolf's mother allowed him to drop out of school. Adolf Moved to Vienna And he worked as a casual laborer ans watercolor painter. Hitler applied to the academy of fines art twice But was rejected both times. Out of money Hitler moved into a homeless shelter, where he remained for several years. During the Holocaust six million Jews died at the hands of a despicable man; Adolf Hitler. While many perished in the extermination camps, malnutrition, disease, execution and medical experimentation were other methods of the Jews annihilation. In 1933, before WW II there were approximately nine million Jews living in Germany. By the end of WW II six million Jews had died. In this paper the researcher will attempt to give accurate accounts as to how Adolf Hitler came to power, why he killed innocent people, and where the carnage began. The researcher will attempt to accurately show when the Holocaust began and who was affected by one man and his follower’s beliefs of their superiority over others.
Adolf Hitler is known for being the leader, a dictator, over the Nazi Party and trying to eliminate all the Jew, known as the Holocaust (“Adolf Hitler Biography”). What most people do not know about Hitler before he became the leader of the Nazi is he wanted to be an artist. He dropped out of high school after his father died and moved to Vienna to attend the Academy of Fine Arts. Though he was rejected twice, Hitler still followed his dream of being a watercolor painter for the years he lived in Vienna (“Hitler Fails Art Exam).
People need to understand that the environment is everybody’s responsibility. We need to take accountability for providing a green future for future generations. We must act before its too late. We must sacrifice, compromise, and be willing to
Adolf Hitler was a leader of the Natzi party . Adolf had a backup plan of being a dictator, and he killed millions of jews. Adolph Hitler was the true monster of World War II due to his childhood, military experiences, and mysterious escape. Adolf Hitler was a terrible dictator and will remain that way in history forever.
In 1889, a seemingly normal boy was born in the small town of Braunau, Austria (Hoffman, 2017). This boy had pretty normal interests, didn’t have any mental issues, and got good grades for the most part. This boy was Adolf Hitler, and his parents, Alois and Klara Hitler (Klara Polzl at the time) had no idea what they had unleashed upon the world. (TOPIC SENTENCE)
Life for most people in Germany definitely did improve under Nazi rule between 1933 and 1939. After the completion of World War One, Germany were forced into signing the Treaty of Versailles to ensure they would not try and start any more conflict between countries. Ultimately the German government had no other option then to sign the treaty, which left almost all Germans furious with the restrictions facing the country. The great nation along with the entire globe had been heavily affected by The Great Depression in 1929 which led to serious problems. Germany was eventually converted into a Totalitarian state by Hitler and the Nazi Party and seemingly, in the wider image, the positives do outweigh the negatives.
“Here is your country. Cherish these natural wonders, cherish the natural resources, cherish the history and romance as a sacred heritage, for your children and your children 's children. Do not let selfish men or greedy interests skin your country of its beauty, its riches or its romance.” (Theodore Roosevelt) My environmental ethic is to improve the environment to sustain living on earth. People in the world today don’t really take into effect the way they hurt the environment. People don’t care where they throw their garbage or burn chemicals that are unhealthy, yet it could hinder your health ultimately. The earth is a wonderful and beautiful place. People have to take care of it for the next generation to come, or how will people survive on a planet that has toxic environment. Let me explain: what experiences I have had, Persistent challenges, education, religious beliefs or influences that shaped my world today.
“The early life of Adolf Hitler was normal compared to the man he turned out to be. Adolf Hitler was born in the town of Braunau an Inn. This town is on the Upper Austrian border. He was born on April 20, 1889. Adolf's father was a mid-level customs official. His fathers original name was Alois Schickelgruber. Alois changed his name to Hitler which was the name of a man who married his mother five years after his birth. Alois's illegitimacy caused speculation as early as the 1920's, that Adolf's grandfather was Jewish. There is still no credible evidence. In 1898, the Hitler Family moved to Linz, the capitol of Upper Austria. In Linz Adolf fought with his father because he wanted a career in visual arts, but his father wanted to send him to Habsburg
