This world is fueled by the last bit of brain activity she has left before she is fully deceased, and is influenced by the last few moments of her life. The human brain has roughly 7 minutes of activity after the heart stops beating. What isn’t as commonly known is in the 1990’s (when Marisol was produced) studies were beginning to come out involving dimethyltryptamine (DMT), a powerful hallucinogenic drug naturally released by the pineal gland upon death (QWIZX, 2013). Studies have suggested this to be the cause of ‘visions’ seen in near-death experiences. However, in a similar way that we don’t all have the same dreams, it’s peculiar that people would hallucinate the same things when exposed to this drug. Consequently, it is believed that people see what they expect to see when under the influence of DMT. This includes reported experiences of ‘seeing the light’, seeing life flash before the eyes, or meeting God, but in Marisol’s case, she hallucinates an encounter with an Angel due to the power of suggestion. The character Golf Club had just described his ‘encounter’ of meeting an angel in great detail (silver wings, leather jacket) followed by informing Marisol that she would experience the same thing immediately before her death. Enough of her believed what he was saying to expect this experience, causing her
Day after day, we would pass the mansion building on our way to and from school. Branches of vines and clusters of moss crawled up the sides of the building. I could see the paint, tearing off the walls. People for years have said the mansion building is haunted, but I don’t believe it. They say people have been possessed and killed there. Olivia, of course, believes every detail anyone tells him. To teach him a lesson, we decided to plan to spend the night in the mansion building this Saturday.
The first story made me go back to my childhood. I hardly remember how I came to United State but one thing I do remember is my mom had the same reaction as Alma Rivera. All character made me feel like if I was coming back to the US. In the first couple pages, it caught my attention of how is actually telling what we the people that migrate go through. I enjoyed reading this book I can make some connection with the characters.

A child’s ghost haunts several rooms on the second floor of one of the buildings. It tugs on peoples’ clothing and its spectral laughter is heard. A woman’s ghost has tapped people on the shoulder and touched them. Books fall from shelves by themselves. Crystals hanging from a set of candlesticks move back and forth when there is no breeze to account for this.
Lyn Di Iorio and Laura Restrepo in their respective novels have managed to provide an overview that how supernatural and mystical powers and entities can change the life and perspective of individuals. Both of the novels entitled as Outside the Bones and Delirium are having a similar theme of conventionality and ghostliness.
She gets in trouble causing her to find a scapegoat in other villagers. “I danced for the devil; I saw him, I wrote in his book. I go back to jesus. I kiss his hand. I saw Sarah Good with the devil, I saw Goody Osburn with the devil…”
She happened to notice that there were only three coyotes left. After the police cleared her to leave, she went to Meagan’s house for lunch. Once she got there, she told Meagan about what happened. Reassuring her, Meagan told Cecilia it was probably teens screwing about in the night. She told her that she should go home to take a nap, and Cecilia agreed to do so. On the drive over, a unsightly phenomenon causes Cecilia’s heart skips several beats when a gnarled figure sped at an inhuman speed across the road, directly in front of her car, followed by a large bump. Her whole body tremulous, she unbuckles her seatbelt and opens her car door, being ever so cautious to not make a false move. When she investigated, there was nothing but her tire tracks on the curb that she seemed to have ran over. Safely, she returned home to sleep and calm down, she is put in an unfortunate situation. She had set her alarm to wake up at three, but she awoke at nine thirty. Unhappy and slightly mad that she would not be able to spend the rest of her Saturday as she would have liked, she turned on the light and started towards the living room. At roughly about the halfway mark to

Something evil lurks in the charming town of Jenkins Cove. When Sophie Caldwell devotes a room in her B&B to communicate with spirits, dangerous secrets rise to the surface, and the lives of three couples will never be the same.
Charlotte Gilman, through the first person narrator, speaks to the reader of the stages of psychic disintegration by sharing the narrator's heightened perceptions: "That spoils my ghostliness, I am afraid, but I don't care--there is something strange about the house--I can feel it" (304). The conflicting
Unexplainable singularities are inevitable. Society does not have the solution to every dilemma or anomaly that transpires. Undeniably, two fields of study that still has unidentified surfaces are the human psyche and supernatural activity. Scientists and researchers, regarding the psychology of the mind and supernatural happenstance, uncover new data and statistics every day. A psychological disorder can develop at any junction in a person’s life and encompass peculiar behavior in the way a person feels, thinks, and acts. In the novella, “The Queen of Spades” by Alexander Pushkin there are several key elements that provide the reader with enough data to formulate that the main character’s mental stability triggers the manifestation of the late Countess. Conversely, Stanley Kubrick’s movie adaptation of Stephen King’s novel, “The Shining,” demonstrates strong indications of the supernatural.
It is Friday the 13, 2003 and it was a cold, rainy day at the Simpson Bell tower and I was investigating a scene where a girl supposedly committed suicide. There are legends that she is still restless looking to get revenge for all the people who ever caused her pain. My friends and I were just getting done trick or treating and we were all a little loco on sugar and we decided to play the Ouija board inside the bell tower and when we circled the planchette 3 dreadful times Sage asked the first question “Are there any spirits in this room?” After Sage asked the question the planchette flew across the room and hit Sage in the face. We all screamed in horror as we watched the planchette fly. As we all sat in complete silence we heard a high pitched scream and the bell started ringing uncontrollably and we couldn’t get it to stop. Terrified we all
