It is assumed that Arryel is prostituting. On 11/26/17, Arryel and her brother (Andre) had a physical altercation because he was trying to force her to allow him to care for the children. Andre pushed Arryel against the cabinet. The children witnessed the incident. Then after, Arryel and the children left going to a motel. Arryel went to the motel with JW because her house was not clean. Per Lanette, Arryel told JW that they could go to her house and get in the bed, but decided to go to the motel because it was already paid for. My first semester at Shippensburg University, my older friends invited me to an outdoor party at Frat Row. This would be my first college party ever, so I agreed to attend. My thoughts were that this party would be just like in the Hollywood films- beer bottles shattered all over the ground, smoke floating throughout the air, graffiti all over the walls or buildings; basically, a complete disaster of an area filled with young adults breaking the law. Is there a word to describe how accurate my accusation was? Complete perfection. The scene was fun to watch, but not such a fun experience. Insisting on being a law-abiding citizen, I stayed away from all illegal activities. As I stood upon the walls covered with condensation, I witnessed several exchanges of both alcoholic beverages and drugs. Since I’ve never been in an environment like this before, I asked my friends to take me back to my dorm room. My automatic assumption was that all the students in the room were either alcoholics or drug addicts. I told myself not to associate with any of them, but then I did some research.
Angela is military style strict. She would snatch the child up if they didn't move like she says. She would shake and snatch them out of line. Tyler and Gazahria have been the ones to always get pulled. Angela had her picks and chooses of who she mistreats. Angela would mistreat them so bad that the after school children were terrified of her. Some of the children still attend the daycare. She would yell and get in some of the children's faces. Derrick is an infant that did attend the daycare. There was an incident were he wasn't feeling well and was crying. Angela was irritated because he was crying. She threw him across the room into his playpen. The reporter stated she contacted the grandfather and told them they needed to come get the child and take him out of the daycare. She told the grandfather what happened. Most of the parents are not aware of the concerns. The reporter is not sure if the children told their parents. The children don't need
Mom recieves foodstamps. The children are not starving. Halee is skinny and the other child if hefty. When they are hungry, they go to a neighbor to eat. Mom and Zack may be on drugs or mom may sell the foodstamps. Mom and Zack do smoke weed in the home. The children know about the weed. You can smell weed in the car. It's not accessible to the children. Drugs are not sold or manufactured out of the home as far as the reporter knows. The children have not been harmed or hurt due to them being under the influence of weed. The grandmother took the children away from mom one time. The grandmother's only has one leg now and she's not able to care for them. Halee cuts her self with a knife or something. She has cut marks on her legs and arms. She was in a behavioral facility for 6 months. Halee said mom doesn't care about her. The reporter guess that Halee is depressed about mom not caring. She has tried to talk to mom but she doesn't want to hear it. Mom was raped and Halee was a result of the rape. It's unknown if that has anything to do with it. Mom acts like the children are a burden to her. Mom doesn't care; she doesn't need the children. Mom and Zack curse at the children
Federal government has the power to control all the state local activities including the purely local that can have substantial effect on the interstate commerce. In the case of growing marijuana plant at home for personal consumption being for medical use, the federal government banning that marijuana sounds not right at first glance. The marijuana plants are grown within a state and the grower cultivates the plant for personal use and the situation sounds like no interstate commercial activities are involved or affected.
February 26 2016, Vancouver: Federal Court Judge Michael Phelan has ruled against the “arbitrary and overboard” legislation introduced by the former Conservative government that stopped patients from cultivating their own medical marijuana in Canada.
Growing up I had a friend named Todd. He lived down the road from me, about 2 streets down. Todd use to stay at my house three or four nights a week. I never knew why, it didn’t bother me in fact, it was like having another brother. We did everything together, played on the same football team, played video games together, and went on vacationing together. To Todd my parents were his parents, they did everything he wished his parents would do. It wasn’t until high school that I finally asked Todd why he didn’t like staying at home. His response will stick with me forever. He said he didn’t like being at home because his parents were always high and because of this they would never talk to him, cook for him, or spend any amount of time with him.
An issue with far-reaching effects for business owners and HR professionals, is the advent of medical marijuana and its usage in the workplace that has led to a host of questions and concerns. For many business owners, this isn’t a new issue. 20 states and the District of Columbia have laws of some type that legalize medical use of marijuana: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Montana, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, Oregon, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Washington, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures. Others are considering legislation, and, to top it off, Washington State and Colorado have legalized marijuana for recreational

I would sit down with the student in my office to first talk about him smoking marijuana. Ask him his age to verify if he is twenty one years old or younger since that would put him in a higher risk for mental illness. How much does he smoke, how often, and by what method? Is he experiencing any auditory or visual hallucinations? It has been shown that the greater the frequency of marijuana use, the higher the risk of mental illness, specifically schizophrenia and psychosis. Than I would continue with an assessment of him and his family history, to verify if there was ever any evidence of family mental health issues. This would be important since 80 percent of marijuana users may be predisposed to paranoid psychosis and schizophrenia due to
In the case study at hand, it is seen that mass media had focus on the legal implications and health hazard of allowing medical marijuana. The questions raised include: “does marijuana has any medicinal properties?” What are the health implications for allowing the use of marijuana for treating patients? Would be have a boomerang effect on the society at large? Thus, with such questions regarding the case study, our findings show that the media in Florida has helped the public to have the ideology and belief that medical marijuana is not a healthy policy for the public. The dominant takeaway message from the media is the absence of positive effects of marijuana and it is unhealthy for the society. In addition, we found that the argument
Chronic cannabis use may also lead to psychopathological effects such as suspicious ideation, illusion and hallucination in both psychiatric and non-psychiatric public subjects (Bersani et al., 2002). A cannabis user develops tachycardia with peripheral vasodilatation which subsequently induces hypotension and reduces body temperature. Moreover, in individual with history of previous cardiovascular disease situation may be provoking. Nevertheless even in young men cardiac infarction, transient ischemic attacks and myocardial ischemia have been observed (Reece, 2009). The constituents of cannabis smoke are similar except nicotine to that of tobacco causing carcinogenicity of respiratory tract. The main stream smoke of cannabis extensively includes
How do we keep people from abusing he use marijuana if legalized? Addiction is important enough to take seriously. Every patient should understand the risks of marijuana addiction. Mandatory counseling for patients should come from physicians. Dispensaries should be responsible for counseling patients also (Casarett, 2016). Public health education programs should be available nationally. Depending on physicians and dispensaries is not enough to educate everyone on addiction. It would also help to have public health messaging about the risks of dependence. The messages should be like those that we are used to receiving for alcohol and tobacco products. Family members should be aware of the risks just as patients (Casarett,
Pot, grass, weed, Mary Jane, MJ, are only some of the names commonly referred to the drug called marijuana. Marijuana is absorbed in the body by either smoking or eating it.
