Chris McCandless was horribly misled by his literary heroes. I think that Chris McCandless was misled by his literary heroes because it got him to think differently and got him to pursue a different path. His literary heroes were Jack London, Tolstoy, and Thoreau. Chris McCandless believed everything that the each author has done despite them being hypocrites and not following their own writings. It is quite rare for me to have someone else doing the coloring for my works, unless we are talking about an artist of the caliber of Richard Isanove.
