Racial Inequality. Racial Inequality is “a disparity in opportunity and treatment that occurs as a result of someone's race”. The meaning of this definition is the unfairness between the white race and black race. Many are asking “how can we fix this”?, the correct statement should be “can we?”. Along with people like Martin Luther King Jr., who tried to help fix this problem. There is also the fact that the American country was built on racial inequality. So furthermore we have Martin Luther King Jr.who tried to fix this topic, war, and we have the fact that America was built upon it.
Martin Luther King Jr., led the civil rights movement, he wanted to end segregation. He gave his famous “I Have A Dream” speech and made segregation end. Although he did improve others lives, there was one person who ruined that for everyone. His name was James Earl Ray, and he killed Mr. King on April 4, 1968. This is racial inequality because Mr. King was a black man Mr. Ray was a white man. Mr. King was trying to help improve the lives of the people who shared his race, while Mr. Ray was not happy and found that the only way to “fix” this “problem” was to kill him. There are some countries out there who hate America because of what we have here. In America we have to freedom of religion, equality in politics, freedom of speech, and anyone can live here. Now, this is racial inequality because we have had people attacking us because we allow anyone of any gender, religion, or skin color to walk free.
