Marx says it best by “In sense, the theory of the Communists may be summed up in the single sentence: Abolition of private property.” He says with no private property there will be no reason to fight or feud.

Collectivization was peasants being forced to give up their goods to the government. Collectivization started at the end of 1929 by Joseph Stalin. He began collectivization as part of the 5 year plan because he feared the invasion from the Allied countries in the west. He increased industrialization so he could earn more money just in case there was a war. This impacted the peasants of Ukraine because majority of the farmers had their own land it was their only way of income. They became slaves for the government which they now had no way to make money or eat which began famine.

The government did not respond to their economic troubles, and the farmers, feeling ignored by their government, decided to protest against it. Several farmers were agitated, and decided to come together. Meetings were called and an organized rebellion was organized

Marx’s primarily aims to explain how communism will free men, end the class struggle. The work argues that class struggles, and the exploitation of one class by another is the source of all inequality. Marx’s theories become one the motivating force behind all historical developments. The work strongly advocates the freedom of the proletariats which Marx’s claims can only be achieved when property and other goods cease to be privately owned. He see’s that private property has been a problem through out history, capital that aids the ruling class to maintain control. Marx argues that the lower class come together in a revolution and gain power and eventually take the power away from the upper class.

Communism is an economic and political system based on one-party government and state ownership of property. Another goal of the revolution was to promote industrialization in the rural areas of China and to narrow the economic gap between the urban and rural people. Because of this many peasants became industrial workers and improved their standard of living. Also, as the Cultural Revolution continued ordinary farmers were empowered and were given more control of the affairs of production teams. Throughout The Communist Manifesto, Marx expresses the political, economic and social turmoil that were present in their society. During this time period, agriculture production was the main occupation. This resulted in a class struggle between the landowners and the serfs who labored the land. A new, manufacturing class emerged from this conflict called the bourgeoisie. Bourgeoisie changed the focus from agriculture to industrialization and commerce. Having “less dexterity and strength [that] is required in manual labor, [helps] modern industry develop” and prosper throughout society (Marx 131). This more proficient way to produce commodities helped the bourgeoisie control global and domestic trade. They eventually reached a point where they were inhibited by the feudal government and could not progress at the original rate they were going. Resulting from this, the French Revolution occurred and the bourgeoisie demolished the aristocracy that was originally present during this primitive time.      Quite clearly, Marx is concerned with the organization of society. He sees that the majority of society, more specifically, the proletariat, are living in sub-human conditions. Marx also sees that the bourgeoisie have a disproportionate amount of property and power, and because of that, they abuse it. When prices got so high that peasants and other third estate citizens couldn't afford food there was an inevitable uprising. The peasantry became a class with the ambition to counteract social inequity and put a stop to escalating food prices. This unrest caused a riot, known as the bread riot, which became a central cause to the French Revolution.

Another example of Marxism in the movie is when the circus insects are working for their owner and he doesn’t pay them enough for what they are producing, which is their circus act. The bugs have no control over the amount of money the boss is selling it for but they are aware that its not fair. In this situation the circus bugs are the communist and their owner is the capitalist. This is an example of Marxism because the owner of the bugs pay them less then what they are work. They do a lot of hard labor putting on acts every night and traveling place to place but they can not control the money distribution until they leave. Once they have left their owner is frantic about their absence and wants them back. This is also Marxism because in Marxism they said that the common working people make up the society, with out the working people we wouldn’t have most of the things we have. True in real life and the movie because once the act left the owner wasn’t anything and he agreed to pay them right if they accept him back as their owner.
