Research Project Proposal
To complete this research project proposal process, learners must locate a supervisor and submit a research proposal detailing the proposed research project to be undertaken before registering. The purpose of this research proposal is to help the learner design and plan a research project which the learner is interested in undertaking and to explain this project to other people. The proposal should include: • what you plan to do in your research • why this work is necessary or desirable • specifications for how you will do it • a persuasive argument that you are the right person for the position Your Supervisor will have

What benefits would there be to solving this problem? What value would it have to the specific research community, the industry, society, South Africa or the world? What will be the contribution or significance of your research if it is successful? How will it contribute to the existing body of knowledge in this field? Why should anyone be interested in your research?

In this section you should motivate why this would be a good research project.
3. Review of Literature
In this section you should show where in current literature the problem was first recognised as well as what serves as the foundation for your research proposal. The more references you can find that relate to the given problem statement, the more credibility it will have. This will give the reader an idea whether you have done your “homework” and know enough about the topic to start with the research project. A basic understanding of the field is required. Any fundamental theories relating to your research proposal should also be stated, for example, if your research topic is project management, reference should be made to current standards, best practices and any de facto documents.
4. Project Description
This part of your proposal may include the following:
a. Problem statement
What is the problem for which a solution is being sought? It is very important that a real-world problem must exists for which there is currently no effective solution.
To plan your research project (P4) complete the project proposal form (include a consent form)
1. A brief description the research project and issue under investigation and an analysis of best practice in relation to this issue. (2.1 and 2.2).
What resources are needed and required to address the issues and explain how you see that these resources be best distributed. What projects need to be done?
Define the Problem: Describe the type of case and what problem(s) or issue(s) should be the focus for
Briefly describe the problem or issue that you have decided to be the topic for your project proposal in order to orient your classmates and faculty
During our research, we encountered a lot of facts that actually are the issues and probably holding a solution too, but needs a lot of efforts
3. Address each potential variable in the implementation process that could impact your endeavors related to this issue.
At the end of Week 3 you will submit a Topic Proposal in which you will identify the topic you selected for the Course Project. Within this Topic Proposal, you will also include the annotated bibliography for your sources. You are required to have five to seven outside sources for this project. The Topic Proposal will consist of a one page, typed, and single spaced paper.
10.1 – Sequential decisions: Present an example of a sequence of two or more decisions followed by an uncertainty.
A research plan is intended to encourage others that you have a valuable research assignment and that you have the intelligence to see it though. A research plan should include all the essentials in the research method and contain enough information for the reader to assess the proposed subject. Your research and the method you prefer, the research must address the following questions: What you plan to achieve, why you desire to do it and how you are going to do it. The plan should have enough details to persuade the reader that you have a solid research plan; you have an understanding of the important information and that your approach is sound. The value of your research plan depends not just on the quality of your assignment, but also on the quality of your research plan. A good research assignment could be subject to scrutiny or rejection just because the plan is not written well. This motivates me to develop a research plan that is logical, understandable, and convincing. This paper focuses on proposal writing rather than on the development of research
What do you already know about the topic? What is your level of expertise? Spend a moment here jotting down what
Importance- Explain the importance of studying your topic. Why should we care? What is the relevance in terms of current academic study? What do current researchers/professors say about your topic? This section should include references to research that you have done during the course of this class. Be specific. Include in-text citations (MLA) or footnotes (Chicago).
What are the implications of the problem? What will happen or not happen if the problem is not resolved? Write 1-2 paragraphs discussing the implications with supporting examples. Your paragraph(s) should be professionally written, single spaced with APA formatted citations and references (there is a reference textbox at the end of this form. Use it for your references).
2. Identify and briefly describe the six factors that are increasing the demand for project management.
The chapter three of the book provides measures which the research candidate should maintain when presenting his/her proposal to the research supervisor. The authors mentioned the major features which should never be avoided which they listed and explained as follows;
