DeVry University was original opened in 1931 in Chicago when Dr. Herman DeVry established DeForest Training school which was to prepare students for technical work involving of electronics, motion pictures, radio and later came of television. In 1957 the first associate degree in electronics engineering technology was being offered to students. It officially became DeVry Institute in 2002 with enrollment of 80,000+ in both graduate and undergraduate students. According to the University there have been 237,000+ students that have graduated since 1975, it also has more than 90 campuses throughout the North America and offers degree programs in technology, science, business, the arts and also management, and today DeVry University’s education excellence has been integral in improving the lives of thousands of students.

I chose to do the write-up assignment on problem number three of signature write up assignment number 2 because these problems relate to what I do for a living, and that is nursing. In the clinical area, I am constantly checking and double checking my medications and dosage calculations to provide the best care and to most importantly avoid medication errors that can be potentially harmful if administered incorrectly. These questions were challenging and required critical thinking skills to come up with correct answer.

After the calculations you end up coming out with a rate of 14.87%. The third and final part of question three asks what rate you will need if the interest is compounded semiannually. All you have to do is double the amount of terms and you will come out with a lower number of 7.177%. Since the interest is compounded semiannually that means that you will need to times that number by two and you come out with your final number of 14.35%.
