Matthew Autterson has left his mark on several different businesses throughout his long and distinguished professional career. He spent 25 years as a leader in the financial industry, while also donating a generous amount of his time and money to various ventures in philanthropy. Today he is a member of many different philanthropic organizations, including the Board of the Denver Zoo, Denver Zoological Foundation, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Denver Hospice. His journey into the professional world began in the mid 1970s when he received his formal education.

George Edward Alcorn relates to Martin Luther King because he owned up to Martin’s expectations. Martin didn’t want people to be judged by the color of their skin, but the content of their character. So, George invented something that changed the world so people thought of him differently. No one judged him after that because he made almost everyone’s life better by inventing the x-ray. When I popped my hip out of place I had to get a lot of x-rays. So, it helped the doctors know what was wrong so they could fix it. That’s how it affected my life and how he improved everyone else’s life too. In 1781 Nathan Brownson was the governor of Georgia. Brownson graduated from Yale College in 1761 and went on to study medicine. He was the first physician to be a governor in Georgia. During his time as governor the British were just leaving Augusta. While the British were in control of Georgia, its residence divided between loyalist and patriots. Once the British left, Brownson had to bring those two groups back together. Brownson also found a way to gain back the population of people that had fled during the war.
Christopher Matthewson also known as “Big Six”, “the Christian gentlemen”, “Matty”, and “Gentleman’s Hurler” played Major League Baseball and was a right handed pitcher and played seventeen seasons with the New York Giants. He was voted the most dominant pitcher in the history of baseball and is ranked in the top ten in many key pitching groups, including wins, shutouts, and ERA, if taking 19th century pitchers statistics into account. Otherwise Matthewson and Walter Johnson would hold the distinction of being the only two pitchers placed in the top ten in both career wins and ERA. On September 1, North Carolina man by the name of Matthew James Phelps has been charged with murder after stabbing his wife, Lauren Ashley-Nicole Phelps, to death. Phelps claims he was under the influence of cough and cold medicine and does not recall what time it was when he found his hands and dead wife covered in blood with a bloodied knife nearby. Calling 9-1-1 upon waking up to the gruesome scene, Phelps had sounded dazed and confused, according to the operator, freaking out when he realized what he had done. Taking Coricidin, a cold syrup used to suppress common colds, to fall asleep, Phelps had consumed “more medicine than [he] should have” which had caused a cough-syrup-induced psychosis. Robert Davis was an African American man. He was not a “thug,” he was not a “drunk,” he was a retired school teacher from New Orleans who was in his sixties. He was brutally attacked by three police officers. He suffered a broken nose and other broken bones in his face. The incident was recorded and went viral. Davis was arrested but faced no charges. Three police officers were charged but only two went to trial. In the end, two of the police officers were fired — the third never made it to trial because he had committed suicide. Davis was compensated for the assault.
