Purpose:
The main purpose of this proposal is to request permission to research the total cost of having a new turf field and the benefits it can offer to Sheridan College’s soccer team and how it can help benefits the College as a whole.

Through my research, I discovered that a lot of international and local players do not want to come to Sheridan College because lack of turf field. Players like to play in good field that they know will bring out their best performance and reduces the risk

Task 2:I will research on the total cost of a turf field.
This report will include the cost of making a turf field for Sheridan college. Acording to http://www.fieldturf.com, the approximate cost of making a turf field is $750,000 Making turf field in Sheridan college will bring in more foreign and local students most importantly foreign students which will tend to generate income for the college and the community.
Task 3: I will contact some of the Wyoming colleges and high schools that have turf field.
I will be contacting some of the colleges and high schools with turf fields to confirm the cost of a new turf field. It will be a good idea for Sheridan college to invest on having a turf field. This may cost a lot to invest on but at the end it will worth the money spend.
Task 4: Survey on local and International soccer players
My survey will be based on the current players we have here at Sheridan college and some international and local players on their thought on playing in turf or playing on grass field I have some couple of friends from Europe that said their friends decline to come here due to the poor field nature. That they prefer to play on a turf field than to play on grass field.
Task 5: Create a presentation for the soccer staffs and Sheridan college staffs
I will be giving presentation to the Sheridan soccer staffs and Sheridan College staffs. In this presentation, I will be talking to the staffs about the importance of having turf field
The belief that new facilities bring in better recruits was tested by the research into the subject. Although new facilities did attract more initial interest from recruits (Schneider, 2012) the final decision about which school to attend came down to other different factors. In the study of “The impact of Athletic Faculties on the Recruitment of Student Athletes” college athletic prospects were asked why they choose the college they did. With factors such as playing time, location, tradition, education, facilities, teammates, and school color to name a few, the results were as follows. Non-Scholarship athletes that had no option to receive finical aid from the school they planned on attending, like the ones in division III, had top five factors of 1) playing time, 2) social life, 3) Education, 4) Location and 5) Financial Aid. Not until after the top ten did weight room and locker rooms came into effect. In another study it was shown that scholarship athletes in Division I were motivated by completion and achievement, while in division III the main motivator to play was the “experience” or the social
Some people might say that building an indoor baseball, softball, and football field is a waste of money and it would be too expensive. Each day people would have to pay a certain amount of money per hour they are there, or they could get a membership. If there are tournaments, the teams have to pay to enter them. Also Eldred could have fundraisers to earn money for the fields.
In addition to increased safety and school pride provided by a custom 360 indoor football surface, our Syngrass field will save your school money over the long
Having nice fields would attract students that are moving into the area to attend our school. For example, a student once told me that one of the reasons that he attended his school was because they had nice fields and he wanted to be able to play on them during gym class. The overall appearance of the school would seem much nicer. Having quality fields would attract more student athletes, and in turn, lead to an improvement in our sports teams. No student athlete wants to practice on a low quality field, because it would be a waste of their talent. The sports teams would show much better improvement as well. Fields should be renovated because it would attract all kinds of students and make our sports teams
Every year college athletics are becoming more of an annual tradition and popular entertainment. The annual rise of the revenue from
Over the years, the popularity and marketability of victorious teams have brought enormous sums of money to their colleges. College athletics, especially the so - called “revenue sports” of men’s basketball and football, is now a multimillion-dollar business that is marketed, packaged, and sold in the same way as other commercial products.
There are plenty of club sports around where we live. Here there are an abundance of students that have to travel one to two hours to Pueblo just to go to volleyball practice. If we were to bring club sports here students would be able to able to play sports that would only be available to us if we traveled. It could help out the parents by not making them drive us three hours to and from sports practices. Then adding more time on the road to go to games. Also if we spend so much time at practices in other cities then we are more likely to get home to late. Therefore we might get home at mid-night making us lose sleep because we have to do our homework. As a result are grades start to fall. So if we were to bring club sports to Rocky Ford it could help us students in plenty of ways.
Whenever someone goes to a school they are going to see that they have a sports team; however, people do not know how much these activities actually cost. According to author Amanda Ripley in a recent article about sports, she states that a grass field can cost more than $20,000 a year (2). “For travel games, schools pay for the busses for teams and also for the band, cheerleaders, and hotels” (Ripley 4). This evidence shows that schools have money but they’re using on sports; instead of using the money on sports they can use it on the education or new technology for the school. Therefore if districts want to save any money they should really consider suspending after school sports.
"Hydraway understands the pressure facility managers are under, and works with each manager to find the right solution for their needs. Fields must be attractive, ready for use at any time and healthy. Anything less and the team may suffer, which is unacceptable in the eyes of all. Our partnership with teh St. Louis Rams allowed us to find the perfect solution for their specific
But, the answer to the main question is not as simple as it may seem, especially to the uninformed sports fan. Take a look at this topic from an economic point of view. Is there an actual economic gain from having a new sports stadium? Professional sports teams are multimillion dollar organizations themselves. Why
Mrs. Everly reminded Board members about the discussion a few months ago about the expansion of the middle school football team. Our intention would be to move forward as long as there is student interest to support a second team. Because we are already outfitting all of those students, the cost is much less than originally projected.
The field that is built in the movie is much nicer as opposed to the discount project of the Ray in the written story. In the film he recreates the luxurious field exactly how he envisioned it, he even included the costly stadium lights. The film’s field also seemed to have been built much quicker and resembled a field nice enough for a semi pro team to play on. Whereas the other field a little league team in a bad neighborhood would have opted not to play baseball if that particular field was their only option
By support, I do not necessarily mean money. All though money would be nice because rugby runs all their own fundraisers and gets no financial support from the school. Currently the rugby teams compete with the lacrosse teams for a field to practice on. Even when the rugby teams are allowed to practice, the field is double or triple booked, meaning they have a small half or quarter of the field to practice on. In fact, most nights the football field is completely unoccupied. If the rugby teams and lacrosse teams could use the football field or other empty fields, there would be less frustration about practice time. Clubs aren't even allowed to use the empty weight rooms on campus. This forces the club teams to try and use the
with new modern technology, plastic fields are not needed. In places where there is a lack of natural light or blatant cold weather, there are new resolution pathways instead of converting to turf. Lambeau field, located in Green Bay Wisconsin, a stadium that is constantly known for its near blizzard looking conditions somehow maintains a natural grass
