Abstract This paper is on the difference of the Mexican culture compared to the culture of the United States of America. We look into four sources of reference in our conclusion. The biggest questions we must ask ourselves is "What is the impact this country is making on the U.S and vice versa?" and “Is our policy a direct result of Mexico 's policy, citizens, actions, or and culture?” We are going to look at the history, ethics, education, family and government of Mexico. This is in hope of having a better understanding for the impact they have not only in thinking but in laws passed.
Key words: relationship, ideology, culture and society

We both celebrate our independence. While we celebrate it on the Fourth of July they celebrate it on fifth of May. There is a day of independence in which we both became independent and formed a union of States; while the celebration and symbolism is similar it’s also different. Reference?

Government
Economy Trade The Mexican government is of a free republic with a free trade economy; hence the exact name for Mexico is “Estados Unidos Mexicanos” which in translation means United States of Mexico. The government is set up much like ours in that it has three parts of government. We both have legislative, judicial, and executive branches. The branches may be similar, however the rights and operation are very different. This includes the terms of service or the responsibility of operation. The legislative branch has the right to pass laws, impose taxes, declare war, approve the national budget, approve of reject trades, and ratify appointments. These responsibilities are much like out Senate or Congress, and in fact one political party may be the majority and different than that of the president, or in our system of government a checks and balance approach. The judicial system is divided into several branches just as in the States. These branches are local, state, and federal branches. They also incorporate a Supreme Court. The legal system of laws is based or
Mexico is considered as a collectivistic society. Loyalty in this culture is paramount which meaning that Mexican culture tendency have a long-term commitment to their group of people meaning extended family and extended relationships. Mexican cultures over-rides over most other societal rules and regulations. With the strong relationships among this culture everyone will take accountability for their fellow member of their group.
After the people of Mexico freed themselves from Spanish control, they faced difficulties trying to officially establish themselves as a country. Despite their independence, Mexico had to also live with the aftermath of Spanish colonialism. Part of the aftermath included socio-political issues amongst the Mexican people. In an effort to establish themselves as a nation, they first had to free themselves from a Spanish ideology, for Mexico truly was not free after their independence. The socio-political predicaments contribute to the evolution of modern day Mexico.
The legislative branch, Congress, has the power to make laws valid for the whole country. Powers like the regulation of taxes, regulation of commerce between the states and with foreign countries, the power to declare war, and the power to impeach the President are some of the issues the legislative branch has to deal with. Congress has two chambers (or "houses"): the Senate and the House of Representatives ("the house").
Culture is the overall moral belief, customs, language, and attitudes a person is brought and raised into. Daily, we are exposed to diverse and different cultures everyday which allow us to learn the different values and traditions each culture possess. The importance of observing and learning different customs is beneficial because it can help us better adapt and prevent misunderstandings when we communicate and interact with others. Hispanics and Americans are two huge cultures that have been sharing the same living space for years but are an example of two different civilizations. While both, Hispanics and Americans, share many similarities they both differ in recognition of religion, language,
An immigrant's culture and beliefs take a shift, sometimes going extinct, or they evolve to include elements from both countries; where they grew up, and where they’ll grow old. Transculturation is key in order to fit into a new society, those who do it well have a smoother time transitioning. For example the Hmong and Mexicans both had to flee their country, but the Mexicans found it easier to transition to the American culture than the Hmongs. The Hmongs never thought they would leave their home in Laos, they were happy and thriving on their lands. Unfortunately war struck and the Hmong agreed to help the US fight back, due to their involvement in the war, they were seen as traders, therefore they were persecuted by the Vietnamese. Due to this the Hmong people suffered in
After reading the article, my understanding of the terms have changed drastically, when i personally think about Mexican-American or Chicana/O’s, i think that they choose to identify as a certain culture that represents them best.
THESIS: The Legislative Branch consists of the House of Representatives and the Senate which forms the United States Congress; the Constitution grants Congress the single authority to pass legislation and declare war, the right to approve or reject Presidential appointments, and significant investigative powers.
I am a third culture kid. With both my parents being Mexican, I had a very challenging infancy due to only speaking Spanish. I could not communicate in English until I was enrolled into the first grade of Holly Lane Elementary School in Westlake, Ohio, where I learned to speak, read and write in English at the age of seven. Sounding out the spelling of the words in English did not work at all as it had for Spanish. I had to completely adapt my language knowledge to English grammar rules.
The Judicial branch is made up of the Supreme Court and other minor federal courts. The Supreme Court intents the law. Some powers they have are interpreting the Constitution, reviewing laws, and deciding cases involving states' rights. The Judicial branch can declare executive actions unconstitutional. The can also say that acts of congress are unconstitutional. In article three of the constitution it establishes the Supreme Court as the highest Judicial Power. People in the Judicial branch get chosen different than in the legislative and Executive branch, in those branches there chosen by the people. While in the Judicial branch members are appointed by the President and confirmed by the
The Judicial Branch interprets the meaning of laws, applies laws to individual cases, and decides if laws violate the Constitution. It's comprised of the Supreme Court and other federal courts.
The legislative branch is made up of Congress and the House of Representatives. The Legislative branch checks on the Executive branch by the House being able to select the President and the Senate being able to choose the Vice President if there is no majority vote made by the Electoral College. This is important because these two departments have knowledge in what kinds of people should be our President. The House also has impeachment powers. This makes sure that there are many people to agree if the President should or should not be impeached. The legislative branch can also override the President’s vetoes so there is always a second opinion. The Senate can approve departmental appointments, treaties, and ambassadors. It is important for the Senate to have this job so they can really focus on whom they are choosing. Legislative Branch can approve the replacement of the Vice President, declare war and enact taxes. These are all very important jobs and taken seriously by the Legislative Branch. Lastly, the President must often deliver a State of the Union Address.
Mexico is controlled by a federal government. This means that the there is a central government that divides its power to smaller local governments. A federal government is composed of three arms: the judicial system, the legislative system, and the executive system. The judicial system is made up of the courts and the court's systems. Their purpose is to ensure that laws are followed to the latter. They are the watchdogs of laws. They listen to and make rulings regarding law breakings. The legislature is the law making system of the government. Its main purpose is to make laws. The executive’s main purpose is to execute laws that are made by the legislature. This arm is composed of the president, the vice president and other
All cultures are extremely beautiful, but especially the American and Hispanic culture. Both of these cultures have similarities and difference and that is what makes them beautiful. They have difference in their language, family structure and traditions. The first main difference between these two cultures is the language. In the Hispanic culture, the people mostly speak Spanish, whereas in the American culture they speak English.
Music has always been an outlet to use to express oneself sorrows, desires, and to tell stories. Mexican Americans have used music for decades to represent and honor their Mexican roots and patriotism, but to also express their struggles in the United States. It’s a pleasant combination of pride, struggle, and the journey of a relatable pain. Stories that are always told with Regional Mexican music are that of “mojados” (wetbacks), undocumented immigrants, deportation, government corruption and drug cartels. One of the most famous Mexican bands to date is Los Tigres Del Norte. Los Tigres sing stories that are relatable to their fans and now with Donald Trump’s presidency it seems the band will have new material at the very least for the
and the House of Representative. The responsibilities of the legislative branch are to make laws. The legislative branch checks both executive, and judicial branch. The legislative can check on the executive by overriding the president's veto. For example the first congressional override occurred on
