If the opportunity were to be given to meet and have a conversation with one person in human history it would be Michelle Obama. She serves as a role model for many young black girls including myself. Seeing a strong black woman in power was just what I needed while I was growing up, someone like myself in the media, someone that I could aspire to be. Therefore, if I were given the opportunity to have a 30-minute conversation with anyone; it would undoubtedly be her. Growing up in a white community, there was never any people I really related to at home. Since my mom and date are separated I grew up in a completely white household, feeling as if I never truly embraced my biracial color. All the girls at school idolized stars like Taylor Swift, Miley Cyrus and Demi Lovato; so I followed in suit. However, these stars didn’t look like me, there weren’t many biracial stars portrayed in the media. That is until 2008, when Barrack Obama ran for president. I remember the excitement around him, a black man running for office. However, I was more intrigued by Michelle, I finally saw someone like myself in the media, I found a woman I could look up to. …show more content…
I would thank her for being such a positive role model for me, showcasing a strong, and proud black woman in a whitewashed media. I would ask her what it was like to be his type of figure in the media, how she dealt with the hate and criticism she faced as the first lady. We would speak about politics, what she thinks of the administration now, where she thinks our country is going. Because her husband former president Barrack Obama, and our current president Donald Trump have such contrasting political views I would be curious to as what she has to say about our current president and his goals, since many of them are to remove and repeal most of Obama’s

If there was ever a chance I could meet anyone from past or present. I would have to choose Marilyn Monroe. There is so much I would like to ask her. To be able to talk to such an inspiring person could help me learn a couple of things. She spoke her mind and wasn’t afraid of the outcome. There are always two sides to each story and It would be nice to hear her side of the story.
She makes an emotional connection with her speech. In fact, she uses personal stories referring to her husband, Barack Obama and her two daughters. Michelle Obamas says, “See, because at that moment, I realized that our time in the White House would form the foundation for who they would become, and how well we managed this experience could truly make or break them.” She uses her daughters as a great example to connect with those supporters who have kids. She gives the example of how she has advised her own daughters to ignore the questions regarding their father’s citizenship and faith. The type of ignorance and cruelty is something that doesn’t have to be explained to our kids. She goes into detail and uses herself as an example how being the First Lady means great responsibility and being a great role model to her
The amount of knowledge and powerful words that can actually get to one’s head is amazing. Michelle Obama was the First Lady for 8 years and stood by former President Barack Obamas side. She is a great example of what today’s kids should look up to. A woman with dedication to her word. A woman with dedication to what she believes. It is pretty easy to say that she has become an impressive public speaker who can deliver a powerful speech to her supporters. In her speech at the DNC in 2016, Michelle Obama did not fill her supporter’s heads with politics and facts, but a great use of personal experience, feelings and connections. Her love for this country and her love for her family is one thing that brought her audience together. In fact, if it wasn’t the great use of ethos, pathos and logos Michelle Obamas speech would have probably just been like any other political speech.

I choose Bernadette “Bernie” Monette. I have known Bernie since 1978 when I moved to Parsonsfield, Maine. I always felt she was an interesting lady, and figured she would be a great person to interview. I was in the SAD 55 Adult Education visiting, since I became close to all the workers there from studying for my GED. She wants to use me as the GED programs role model, since I graduated from there and I moved on to college. I am there only student that has moved on for more learning. I asked Bernie if I could do an interview with her for my Issues in Diversity class, she was grateful that I had asked her. So I called her to set up our appointment, which was more of a visit than an interview. But, I did get a lot of information about
Many people usually spend the majority their time comparing the past and present presidents against each other. They always talk about the things the presidents have accomplished leaving behind a great legacy, but they never consider the great women behind the man. Hillary Rodham Clinton and Michelle LaVaughn Robinson Obama are both very different accomplished First Ladies.
Michelle Obama is a powerful women through all the struggles that she has been through to be successful as a mother, daughter, wife, African American, and a public figure. Oprah Winfrey should speak at our school for the reasons stated above.
1. Oprah Winfrey: I think Oprah is an amazing person and would love to be able to talk with her about all of the things she has seen and done in the world. I would also like to learn how she gained her people skills and how everyone is able to so freely open up to her.
If I had the opportunity to meet anyone in the world, I would want to meet Oprah Winfrey. Why in the world would I want to meet Oprah Winfrey? The answer is simple; clearly she is in many opinions the most influential person in the world, her insight is incredible, and her story is touching to all who follow her. Although she has her own family she cares for people as if they are her own. Michelle Obama is a great mother as well as an inspiring person. She inspires people through various ways. Such as her creation of Worldwide Play Day. She’s encouraging kids and adults to step outside
Michelle Obama has been an extensively inspirational African-American that I have look up to for quiet some time. She has had an ongoing community giving personality and her hard work is simply a gift to the world. She has shown her integrity towards the community since before it was even recognized. I feel that she is a person that reminds me of myself and what I have been doing to improve myself and others around me. What she has done so far has been a vital component of my life.
If I was given the opportunity to have a 30-minute conversation with any historical figure I would have to choose former first lady, Michelle Obama. I would choose Michelle Obama because of the success she has brought forth through the field of law. Seeing as though she is an African American Women she has been really inspiring to all young women in the nation. Although it was hard for me to choose between Mrs. Obama, Hilary Clinton, and Oprah Winfrey I feel as though Michelle Obama has been the most influential in my life. Mrs. Obama has accomplished many things in her life from graduating cum laude, becoming founding executive director of Public Allies Chicago to becoming First Lady and launching campaigns towards the education
Oprah makes it a habit of giving back and blessing people with her wealth, knowledge and gift of perseverance. She as inspired men, women and children of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
