The career that I am going to research is teaching at the middle school level. Teachers educate students, they inspire students, they learn from the students, and they change the way they teach, to better help the children learn, as well as change the way the children learn and think.
Some other potential career fields are guidance counseling, school psychology, and school social working. When I took the NCC assessment I got the human services cluster, which really suited me. My top two pathways were early development and services, and family and community services.
Teachers work during the school day, but they also use their personal time (before and after school, and on weekends) to create lesson plans and grade papers. Most teachers do not get another job during the summer. Instead, they teach summer classes and prepare for the next school year.

I am most likely going to get my masters in history. I will also minor in psychology and sociology. I will also student teach for a couple of semesters and obtain a state teaching license. The opportunities and future outlook for high school counselors will greatly depend on the size of the school and its district. Currently, in the Duncanville School District, there are very limited spaces for school counselors. On the other hand, other local larger school districts are in need of high school counselors because there are many students who are in need of needing someone to speak to about their life issues and other social problems that they continue to encounter on a daily basis. The increase in student enrollment and the building of new schools is not a negative situation. It is more so a situation that opens the doors for more individuals who have been certified in the area of counseling. Overall, “employment for educational, vocational, and school counselors is expected to grow by 14 percent, which is faster than the average for all occupations” (Bureau of Labor Statistics, 2010-11, p. 1).
The career I chose to undertake as my profession is that of a mechanical engineer. Why do I want to become a mechanical engineer? Well, for starters, I would be able to design, build and possibly repair many various machines and other technologies that are complex. These technologies can range from being already in use on a global scale to new, futuristic designs that are highly technical. Also, this career includes being a sort of jack-of-all-trades, where I would possess knowledge in mathematics, physics, etc. Finally, this career offers me the chance to expand outside my immediate area since mechanical engineers are well desired around the globe as well.
In order for me to complete this career assessment paper, I initially took an Interest Inventory survey. Upon completing this process, it revealed that my personality profile score was (I, C, A). These three letters represented my strengths and interests in determining which career field would best suit me.
The theoretical career development framework that I chose to assist in Catherine’s career counseling process is Donald Super’s counseling theory. I decided to chose this particular career development framework because I thought it would be the most effective and appropriate to use with the client. The client is thirty-seven years of age and is dealing with a lot on her plate. Equally important, people grow and change throughout their lives and this theory respects that.
Prior to writing this essay, I sat down with my mom to come up with ideas on stories that have made me who I am today. That is when I realized I have made more personal growth in the past four years of my high school career that I have before this period of time. I am ending my high school career with more knowledge than I ever expected.
A man once said “The direction in which education starts a man will determine his future in life.” The California state university will send me on my path to my future. California State university, the Northridge society, one of the best technology schools and should allow me to have the best education.
The career I have chosen is an early, middle years Physical Education and Geography teacher. This career was a perfect fit for me given my four years of work at a summer day camp, as well as my eight years of hockey coaching. Working with children and helping them develop, is not only something I enjoy doing, but is my passion. I simply could not imagine my life any other way.
My career in education, I am currently leading the Mathematics department in Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology besides my teaching duties last 4 years. I work closely with teachers in the department to make sure they implement the school policies and curriculums in their classroom properly. As a department head, I visit classrooms and observe the routines
What is the importance of goals? Do goals help you plan out your future? Or possibly give you something to work for? To me goals provide a map of what I want to do, how I’m going to do it, and why I want to do it. Goals also provide a sense of accomplishment when you finally get to finish whatever you’ve been working towards. The need for goals in life is clear, because without goals, we wouldn’t get much done. Simply because of the fact that there wouldn’t be anything to work towards, and no structure to our future. One of my most important goals is to graduate college, to get a career in psychology. This goal is extremely important to me because of the fact that not many people in my family have even finished high school.
Not only they work during the season but they work off season too. But teachers work all year round as well, and when you are on your summer brakes, they are buried in a pile of paperwork.
Ever since I can remember I have wanted to do two things with my career, and that is to travel and to meet as many new people I can. In becoming a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, those cravings can transform into my own reality. Becoming a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (PSR) has been on my radar for quite sometime. Furthermore, It is going to be vital for me to advance my education and receive a college degree. It is an absolute necessity to comprehend the learning and training requirements, skills or talents required, salary and benefits offered, and the duties for a particular career when beginning your future.
I never thought anything like this would happen. How could it happen? Why did it have to be my best friend. I just didn’t understand or get why it was happening because there had never been any signs of it. Why cancer?
Good morning, Class of 2020. First and foremost, I’d like to congratulate all of you on a successful and memorable middle school career. To what can we attribute our success, and how can we define it? Yes, our clubs, sports teams, and music ensembles achieved phenomenal rankings, and our students perform exceptionally. However, Robert Muller once wrote: “What the world needs most is openness: Open hearts, open doors, open eyes, open minds, open ears, open souls”.
Through out my high school career I never took my education seriously. For most of the four years it was a big blur. I’m not quite sure if it was because of me or if I found myself blaming my surroundings or teachers for my lack of focus and strive to learn. A failure can mean different things to everyone else. Maybe there’s just different types or categories of failures. These failures are meant to teach us something, or motivate us to simply not make these mistakes again.
The career that intrigues me is elementary education, which is kindergarten through 8th grade. I am engrossed in this career because I have little siblings that I had to teach them things like reading, math, and writing properly. Also, I just love, love, love little kids and to watch them grow. My personality goes with this career because I am a very kind and considerate person and I like people. My values go with this career because I like having the defiance and the opportunity to do my work in new ways and with independence and diversity. Also, I like feat which is having the feeling that what I do in my work is crucial and making a contribution. Lastly I value my workplace and having the pleasure of working in a satisfying, attractive work space where the supervisors and co-workers are supportive and friendly. I expect that being a teacher at a school will have all these conditions. Kindergarten and elementary school teachers work in public or private schools. Seeing students develop new skills and learn information can be very rewarding.
