I’m determined to attend the United States Military Academy because it’s essential that I obtain the knowledge and experience to overcome challenges that I may endure while leading soldiers and develop the distinguished character of a soldier as a walking symbol of the military to serve my country successfully. I want to fine-tune my military and leadership skills before I graduate as a Second Lieutenant in the United States Army, earn the best STEM education to reach my goals, and inspire and encourage more women to serve.
I have knew at a very young age that I wanted to become a designer. Over the past three years I have participated in the TTU Robotics team as an engineer to design using AutoCAD software, print parts from the HURCO (a 3D
I am drawn to AmeriCorps because of its commitment to service and matching members to non-profit organizations. I am truly interested in AmeriCorps' service missions including poverty reduction, literacy and youth development, and mentoring. I served as a volunteer helping organize activities for neglected and abused children at the Children’s Advocacy Center, served on a committee for children’s literacy with Better World Books Drive, and volunteered for Big Brothers Big Sisters and American Red Cross. I am comfortable interacting with youth and children. I have always envisioned myself as a leader involved in improving the health of populations and serving my community and I aim to continue the work of improving the missions of anti-poverty
My goal of serving our country with meaningful purpose and responsibility is clear to me. I am confident that attending the United States Naval Academy is the most effective way for me to achieve this objective, and for this reason, I request your
I have aspired to attend a service academy since I entered high school in 2012. My interest in attending a service academy is derived from my goal to serve as an officer in the military. While many other universities offer quality educations, the service academies teach beyond the typical academic subjects. The academies instil values of duty, country, and honor in each individual that graduates from the academies. Furthermore, he academies are challenging programs with a commitment to serving the nation upon graduation and I am sure I am up to the challenge. Another reason that I want to attend a service academy is, throughout my life as a military child, countless service members have inspired me to join the military with their selflessness
I seek to enhance my leadership abilities as a future officer in the armed forces, as well as dedicating time tailored to serving my country as a future officer via a military academy graduate. I want to be more than just a dot on a statistical demographic for the future; I want to genuinely innovate and make a difference – regardless of which academy I receive an acceptance letter from or branch I enlist to serve.
Serving the United States Military comes with many responsibilities as well as pressure and accountability. However, the military isn’t for everyone, but it offers so much for those who serve. One thing that must be known and dealt with is that this career could be a life threatening one, and there are many obstacles one must go through beforehand.
My goal in attending a United States Service Academy and becoming an officer in the military is to provide myself ample opportunities to reach my established life goals. I plan to pursue a career in aerospace engineering, and developing that career through one of the academies will help me to achieve the dreams I had as a child. I have many strengths that will help me stand out in the application process, but at the same time, I have challenges to overcome. However, these obstacles will not hinder me from from pursuing my passion.
My Mother and Father relocated from Costa Rica to New York City where they met got married and where I was born. When I was just two years old, always wanting the best for us, my father moved our family from New York City to Jacksonville, FL in search of a better paying job and the American dream so he could provide us with a better quality of life. To ensure we were always clothed and feed, my father sacrificed everything for us and worked long hours to do so. Though I did have a pronounced, safe and active upbringing the North Florida school system didn’t expect much from the Hispanics that were starting to move to the then small town; unfortunately since my parents worked so much they expected the school system
Many people are concerned about the U.S. military because of how many risks come with joining it. However, the U.S. military also explains the benefits that one could receive. Joining the military is a decision that should not be taken lightly. One must understand all aspects of the military. In order for a voter to be fully informed about joining the US military, one must consider both the risks, like mental illnesses and commitment and benefits, like education, and experience.
I, Jenner Jason Pereda, if selected for appointment under the Active Duty CWO Program, do agree to remain on active duty for a period of 3 years subsequent to acceptance of such appointment.
As a young child, I learned that education would be beneficial to not only myself but also all humankind. Growing up in a Northeast Florida housing project my father and mother did the best they could to raise nine children. My father worked seven days a week in the service industry as a waiter and bartender while my mother worked as a domestic employee in the homes of more affluent people in the south. My father had an eleventh grade education and my mother had not passed the tenth grade before she bore her first child. Neither parent completed high school but they had dreams of their children far exceeding their educational accomplishments. I was child eight of the nine and I knew early on that I did not want to live
I have always been attracted to sports that need a particular dedication and mentality to succeed, such as mixed martial arts (MMA) and wrestling. These sports are physically and mentally exhausting. In order to triumph, one must have an unwavering commitment, a dedicated mindset that trumps all self-doubt and fears in the face of difficulty. This attitude and sense of adhering to goals in challenging environments will surely benefit my efforts towards becoming and being a military physician. Moreover, these personality traits will enable me to better relate to the like-minded patients, service men and women, I will be treating as a military physician. This distinction is important. Possessing the ability to relate and understand the patients
Through my experience in a military medical specialty, two primary aspects of military medicine motivate me to become more engaged in this profession. First, I value how the Military Health System leads based on principles rather than profit. This viewpoint in a medical setting emphasizes care focused on the best interests of its patients. Second, the privilege of caring for service members and their families is a rewarding experience. A medically fit community enables its members to perform their duties effectively, which upholds the military's mission to secure national defense and make a positive difference in the world.
As an Officer in the US Army Signal Corps, I am directly responsible for the installation, operation, networking, and maintenance of all Information Technology networks, along with the services required to enable success in achieving the unit mission. My service in the military and exposure to tactical and strategic missions allowed me to gain valuable experience. I implemented many of these skills to optimize communications assets and improve the overall redundancy and reliability. As the senior communications officer while deployed to Afghanistan, I supervised a 12-person team responsible for maintaining a network that supported approximately 5,400 Soldiers and civilians. During that time, I conducted over six combat missions to assess the implementation and make improvements to the tactical communications equipment.
I am writing this letter to respectfully ask for your support in helping me become one of the many distinguished cadets at the United States Military Academy. I have achieved so much in my 16 years of life and being appointed into the academy will be very well-deserving and forthcoming to all the amazing opportunities that the academy has to offer. I have worked tremendously hard to obtain a 4.0 gpa and maintain a class rank in the top 100 of my 1000 person class. With your help I can hopefully be appointed as a West Point candidate for the class of 2022.
I have wanted to go into the military since i was very young. Most children say that they want to be a firefighter or a doctor, but i said that i wanted to be in the military. I remeber looking at pictures and learning about military officers and i felt called to be one of those men. My decision and dreams never changed, as most childrens do when they realize the work required. But for reasons beyond my comprehension, my desire of a miltary life never wavered. Both of my parents' fathers served in the military, one n the Air Force and one in the Army. They told me stories of their days in the military, bragging of their different branhes and I took what they said and choose a school that woud lead to a career in neither of their branches.
