In some countries all Young people must serve two years of military service. I believe no one should serve two years in the military because families might have emergencies, there might be better opportunities, and no one would be able to follow their dreams. My cousin quit the military because they would not allow him to leave, so he had just quit. First of all, what if one of your family members has gotten sick. you gonna want to see you family members. Say for instance your, child is missing I don't know about you, but i'm going to want to find my kids. Or your wife (girlfriend) is having a baby and this is you guys first child. I know that I wouldn't want to miss that. In addition , you could have gotten a huge endorsement or offer.
Three qualities important in life, but even more so in being a successful USMA cadet and Army officer are honor, responsibility, and determination. These traits will allow a person to be a powerful leader, follower, and soldier in general.

America spends over 650 billion dollars a year on having the most technologically advanced military in the world. Much of this money comes straight from U.S. taxpayer dollars. But there is one major problem in our military; the number of troops enlisting is dropping from previous years. With terrorist groups like ISIS, this is a bad time for numbers of soldiers to drop. The country needs more soldiers to keep freedom, and remain the powerhouse of the world. Without troops, our country might not be what it should be.
The United States of America has not used a draft for their military since 1973 and some people wonder if it should be put back in use. The U.S. citizens are worried that volunteers will not be enough if a bigger war breaks out and that we truly need the draft. The big question with this idea is, it it a good idea to bring back the draft?
The United States should not reinstitute the military draft. The draft is unconstitutional and morally unjust. The draft violates a United States citizens simple rights. Not only is the draft unwise and impractical but also undermines a persons freedom.
As the US military opens combat roles to women, several politicians ask that registration for the draft be required for women, eliciting the support of some young Americans.
On March 11, 1862, Lincoln made the decision to remove McClellan as General-in-Chief, demoting him to command only the Army of the Potomac. Chief of Staff, Peyton March, sent a telegram to McClellan in refence to his orders and instructed him to speak first to Governor Dennison. Suspicious of this message McClellan refused the invitation to Washington or to speak to Dennison. Later, the General wrote to his wife that the rascals of Washington were after him again and that if he could come out of this, he would never get himself in this position again. Because of this refusal, he learned of his demotion via the National Intelligencer, a Washington newspaper. Although many leaders in the government continued to resent the commander, he was still
Throughout my military career, it became apparent that the staff officers within my command had attained a great sense of professionalism, leadership abilities and technical skills. My military duty positions in my career, such as being the Battalion S3 driver, TOC radiotelephone operator, and Brigade S6 NCOIC, allowed me to directly converse with many officers. I was able to monitor firsthand the daily task and responsibilities of some staff officers. After years of maintaining a high level of performance at work, I felt that taking a more challenging role within the Army would be beneficial to my career. I began to believe that I could provide the Army with another military officer of the same caliber of those in my previous commands. My aspiration to become an Army Officer fostered greatly through conversations with my former Brigade S6 OIC, MAJ Joe Gardner. He was previously a senior NCO and made the transition to an officer. He understood

In different countries all over the world, it is mandatory for every young person to serve at least two years of service in the military. Many people believe we should have the same policy in the United States. People should have their own choice to serve in the military or not because mandatory military service is unfair and does not give each young person the right to express themselves in their daily life.
“Woodstock Academy Girls Varsity Team”: A program that is more then banners, championships and awards, a program that is built on dedication, excellence and teamwork. Five years ago I found myself at the Bentley Athletic complex, intimidated by the talent that this program exuded. I remember vividly the first day of tryouts. I was 14 years old, I had come from a small private school so I did not know anyone in the school. My parents dropped me off waved good bye and said good luck! I walked slowly with a ball at my feet, water in my bag, and my head down over the table to hand in my paper work. Tryouts started a few minutes later and Amy Cross the head coach of the program at the time gathered all the girls around and introduced the senior class and talked about the expectations of this program. As a team we were required to attend every practice and game ready to work hard for 2 hours, respect towards our
The first reason why young people should not have to serve in the military for two years is because some young people want to do something else other than the military. Some young people want to be a doctor or something

First of all in 2003 I was born. Most of my family was there, my grandparents, my uncles and aunties, and cousins, but not my dad. The reason my dad wasn’t there for my birth is because he was in the army at the time. He couldn’t be there for most of my birthdays or holidays. I always used to ask my mom where’s my dad, but she always told me he’s serving our country.
Although Some citizens think it should be mandatory for them to serve one year in the military. While others think differently. It shouldn't be forced. When this comes about it should be the citizens decision.
