Minimum Age Limit

For many teenagers in the United States their 16th birthday is an important milestone. This is the age that teenagers begin to integrate more into society as they begin to drive and experience new levels of freedom. As 16 is the usual minimum age for employment in most industries some teens even get jobs for personal reason or to benefit their household. The minimum age to acquire a driver's licence should not increase to 18 as younger teens will not be able to help provide for their families with current public transportation methods in the United States.

Every day teens are given access to automobiles. Every day these young people go to their jobs, classes, and athletic practices. Do they all abuse their driving privileges? No. Then why restrict all teens, including the law-abiding and mature, by raising the driving age? This debate reaches all across the nation, to all levels of government, and many related laws and propositions can be found. If the driving age is increased, teenagers will have more difficulty getting jobs and gaining experience. On the other hand, if the driving age is 18, new drivers will have more maturity. So the question remains, should the legal driving age be 18 years old? No, the current driving age

Are you ready, are you... old enough? The discussion of keeping the minimum driving age at 16 or raising it to 21 revolves around generic maturity, but there is more than just that to look at. After reviewing all pros and cons, the minimum age for being allowed to operate motor vehicles should be kept at 16.

There are about 2,000,000 sixteen year old drivers in United States, meaning that almost 2,000,000 million people depend on the current driving age for many things. Having a license at age 16 gives that person opportunities they wouldn’t be able to have without the freedom a car gives, such as getting a job that could help their family, driving themselves to school or sports practice if their parents can’t or being able to see their friends when they want. Having your license at 16 also gives teens a taste of independence and responsibility. The driving age has to stay at sixteen because teens and families depend on it for many things and it introduces a sense of responsibility for the teen.

What age do you think kids should start driving? The current age as of right now to have a driver’s permit is age 16. One can even get a temporary licence at the age of 15. The driving age should not be lowered to the age of 13 because they could kill people in cars if they aren't careful. They should be at least 18 at the youngest. The way they could kill people is if they aren't paying attention or if their friends are on the bus they will show off and possible kill someone or multiple people

Since alcohol can cause addiction and physiological damages to the body, I don’t agree that there should be no minimum age for drinking alcohol. Thus, the most suitable age for allowing youngers to have access to alcohol should be around their twenties. Accodingly, liquor stores should not grant access to any person below this age.

A tire lay torn on across the road, the smell of burning rubber and gasoline filling the air. A police car sits on the side of the road, the officer nearby shaking his head; there has been another crash with the casualties once again being two 16-year-olds.Many accidents occur from young and inexperienced drivers being on the road. 26 states have put systems in place to try and and stop these accidents, these systems are called graduated licenses. Graduated licenses vary in each state, but all GDLs have restrictions to them. Some people are for these GDLs, while others aren’t so sure they help at all.

Most teenagers look forward to the big 16 for numerous reasons. There are lots of factors for this reason, including, more responsibilities, more independence, and one of the big ones, getting a drivers licenses. The age limits for driving have been debated on for such a long time now. The age limit for driving varies according to what country you’re living in. In my opinion, the driving age in the United States should not be raised to age 18 because I believe that age has nothing to do with responsibility, getting to and from school and curricular activities can be hard without your own transportation, and not all families have a person eligible to drive.

If you want a job or want to go anywhere, you’re going to need a driver’s license. Whether it is school, work, shopping, or just hanging out with friends, you will need a driver’s license. Or maybe even the necessary places like, the grocery, or work. Most states allow people to receive a license at the age of sixteen. The driving test teens have to take to receive their license is different in every state. Some states are harder on their drivers than other states are. Teen drivers have a history of being unsafe drivers, but precautions have been made to limit wrecks that involve them.

Fifty-eight percent of sixteen year olds are more likely to have an accident in their first year of driving.Because of safety concerns, many states have increased the age at which teens can begin to drive. The age limit for driving should be raised from sixteen to eighteen because sixteen year olds are more likely to be immature and a change in age limit would lead to much safer roads.

Driving is undoubtedly a huge privilege that not everyone deserves. A driver’s license gives a teenager a lot of freedom and allows them to do many things unsupervised. The minimum driving age should be fifteen because the ability to drive saves time for the whole family and creates responsibility.

Driving ages throughout the United States vary state by state. In South Dakota, to obtain a license you only have to be 14 years and three months old. In New Jersey, you have to be 17 years old, but throughout the United States it is pretty consistent that you have to be 16 years old to get a license. Along with a license come many freedoms for a teenager, but also many restrictions. Restrictions such as the times allowed to drive and the amount of passengers allowed in the car are set in place throughout the United States. In South Carolina new drivers cannot drive between the hours of 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The majority of states have the restriction of no driving between midnight and 5:00 a.m. Vermont is the only U.S. state to have no restriction

The current driving age of sixteen is implemented in almost every state in the United States. Most states have become accustomed to the current driving age, but recently there are certain states that believe that the legal driving age should be raised due to various reasons. The main argument for most states is that sixteen-year old’s are not mature enough and lack the preparation to handle the responsibility to drive safely. Teenagers under the age of eighteen should be required to wait longer to get their license and should be more prepared before getting their license.

When it comes down to the teenagers and getting their driver’s licenses it’s not a bad idea. “At least two bills are now working their way through Congress that will change the way a teenager in the United States obtain his or her driver’s licenses.” Teenagers who are sixteen years old and older should not have federal regulation on driving in most states.

“Unfortunately, we don’t educate drivers enough to be respectful on the road” Mario Andretti once said. Should the minimum driving age change from 16 to 18 years old? Many young teens believe that it should remain at 16. Would it make a difference in two years? If the driving age remains at 16 years old, it will allow young drivers to increase their experience behind the wheel, give them more responsibility, and allow teen drivers to become more independent.
