With sixteen year olds driving there is a higher risk of accidents. Even though some sixteen year olds drive safe there is a big amount that does not. Therefore the driving age limit should be raised just by 2 years.
Some sixteen year olds argue that they drive at that age because they have to get to school or work. Which is understandable but there is always a school bus to ride to school and parents to take you to places you want to go.

Everyone has felt that feeling where they cannot wait to learn how to drive and to get behind the wheel. Little do they know, driving causes a number of deaths every year. Teen drivers are involved in more car-related accidents than any other drivers. The minimum driving age should be raised from 16 to 18 because 16 year olds are more accident prone, 18 year olds are more experienced, and a 16 year old’s brain is not as developed as it is at 18 years old.
The big debate as to whether the legal driving age should be raised to eighteen is an ongoing issue. There are both arguments for and against this matter. Younger drivers, as well as old ones, can cause many life-threatening accidents; therefore, raising the minimum driving age could significantly reduce the number of accidents. The accident rates can be lowered considerably if the legal driving age is bumped up to eighteen. This would mean that no more kids could get hurt or worse, killed in a car accident.

I understand that individuals want the driving age to be raised. Sixteen-year-olds can be very irresponsible and immature. There are also the safety concerns that can happen, for example, car crashes. However, I believe that the age requirement to drive should stay the same. Teens get the freedom they have been wanting. Teens are able to get jobs to help save up for college. Teens can also learn the responsibilities that come with driving or owning a vehicle. Therefore, what I am trying to say is sixteen-year-olds are responsible enough to
Many people believe that 16 is much too young of an age for people to receive their driving license. While it is true that younger drivers are generally more dangerous on the road than other age groups, raising the age limit to obtain a driver's license will not assist in solving that issue. There are several things that teenagers do that require them being able to drive in order to do them. Kids being able to drive at the age of 16 may take some immediate stress off their parents shoulders by giving them some quiet time, and is it also an incentive for teenagers to be more social. Many teenagers also have jobs at the age of 16, and some go straight into the workforce after graduating at 17 or 18 years of age.

16-year-olds old enough to be on the road? With 18-year-olds being in more wrecks than 16-year-olds and 16-year-olds having 20% less fatal crashes, 16-year-olds should stay driving. 16-year-olds are now also starting to get all the attention for safety and regulations on the road to make it safer for them. In 1998, 14.1% of fatal crashes were from 15-20 year olds. In 2008, 11.7% of fatal crashes were from 15-20 year olds. All in all, all numbers are going down such as fatalities and
Teens can’t always rely on their parents to take them everywhere. Being able to drive at 16 maybe early, but it’s a new experience and helps parents out big time. Teens can take themselves to school, work, and sport activities.
The driving age should be increased to 18 years old because every day I see how immature some 16 year olds are. They should not be put behind the wheel of a car and put not only themselves but others in danger. They could affect other families with one wrong move. The extra two years will make a difference in the immaturity
Many teenagers cannot wait for the day they grab ahold of their licenses. They think of many new opportunities they have waiting for them behind the wheel. Teens may use this opportunity for reasons such as driving to school and work or running errands. Yet, sometimes they can get a little careless and cause a safety concern on the road with other commuters. Therefore, the age limit should be raised to the age of eighteen.

The current driving age of sixteen is implemented in almost every state in the United States. Most states have become accustomed to the current driving age, but recently there are certain states that believe that the legal driving age should be raised due to various reasons. The main argument for most states is that sixteen-year old’s are not mature enough and lack the preparation to handle the responsibility to drive safely. Teenagers under the age of eighteen should be required to wait longer to get their license and should be more prepared before getting their license.
Many believe if the minimum driving age were increased by two years, drivers would then have a two year maturity behind the wheel. Not everyone matures at the same rate, therefore, it is possible for a sixteen year old driver to be more mature and careful behind the wheel than an eighteen year old individual. It’s not the age that is in question, it is the level of responsibility an individual possesses.
If Lawmakers wanted to raise the age of legal driving from sixteen to eighteen they should raise it to eighteen. First reason why lawmakers should change the legal driving age is because most accidents are caused by teens driving at the age sixteen, compared to eighteen. Another reason is, they spend more time paying attention to their phones than the road.
Should 16 year olds be allowed to drive? Some people say that they should not be allowed to because they are to irresponsible by drinking and driving or texting and driving which leads to crashes and deaths so the age should be raised to 17 or 18. Those people as wrong because not all 16 year old as bad drivers and get influence like that, all teenager should not be punished for the work of some.
