Mirepoix is a trinity of vegetables that the French use in most of their dishes. Mirepoix consists of carrots, celery, and onions. Always wash your vegetables before you cut them. Find a sturdy cutting board. Always make sure that you have a sharp to knife, it makes cutting veggies easier. I like to use a cast iron skillet, but if you’re so inclined you can use a sauté pan. If you are making 2 cups of mirepoix, you should use about 2 tbsp. of vegetable oil or olive oil. While your oil is heating up you can start to cut your vegetables. Start with the carrot first. Cut them in half long ways. Lay the carrot flat on the cutting board; cut that in half. Hold the two pieces together and cut them into small chunks. Now the celery. Put the celery

Why didn’t more places contribute to saving the Jews like the small village of Le Chambon did? Heroic is an understatement considering that they saved about the same number of Jews as the number of their population. Le Chambon is a very small village; however, the village saved many lives. If more communities had acted as heroic as Le Chambon many more Jewish lives would have been saved from Hitler's genocide.

The funny thing is that year was also the first year Michel-Gratton was built, in 2011. As a result, we had no basketball uniforms, instead our coach, Taylor, had us go to Walmart and buy the same blue t-shirt, afterwards write M.G on it. We ended the first season with a score of zero wins and ten losses, basically in last place. Schools from the standings were mocking us, trying to damage the team, yet Taylor always reminded us that as long as we stay a family and
When North East Ohio Medical University sponsored a student led project, BetheBeautifulU was formed. Our campaign’s goal is to expose social media’s negative effect on teenage self-esteem due to its focus on Eurocentric standards of beauty. BetheBeautifulU’s purpose was to confront Cleveland's high school issues with self-esteem hidden within high school culture. We came up with numerous topics, like body positivity, but the one that was deeply anchored in our school was colorism. Colorism in Cleveland school districts and the media perpetuates the idea that lighter skinned people are more beautiful and most accepted compared to dark skin people. During our seminar to promote BetheBeautifulU, we asked
