MMA is a form of fighting that uses many movements of the body. MMA is also known as Mixed Martial arts. Martial arts originated in Asia and became extremely famous in many parts of the world including America. Many people might think that it is easy to learn martial arts, but there is a lot to consider. There are different kinds of martial arts and they all are different, some may have different fighting moves and may require different fighting skills. An individual can learn multiple forms of combat and combine them to make Mixed Martial Arts. The history of mixed martial arts can be traced back to Greece and there are many types that have evolved, but they all require strict training methods and can provide various careers. Chinese martial arts is an extremely popular sport, it dates back all the way to 2000B.C. One of first martial arts fighter was emperor Huang Di, he was said to be the best martial arts fighter in Asia, and he has his army learn martial arts for combat during wars. Many say early martial arts spread throughout Europe and the Middle East but not much evidence has been found. Even though Chinese martial art was one of the first created, it is different from the martial arts we use today. Throughout world history people have enjoyed watching two men compete in hand to hand combat. Professional boxing made its debut here in America around the turn of the 20th century. Unlike boxing, mixed martial arts is a relatively new sport. Both sports are very technical and require their fighters to be in superb condition. Many fighters train all their life to make it big, but few ever get there. Although both sports are immensely popular, one stands alone as the dominant sport. In this paper I 'll prove that the sport of MMA is more technical, more exciting, and much safer than boxing.
