Overall my mock interview went better than I had initially anticipated it would be. The mock interview allowed me to find out about skills I did not know I had as well as skills I need to hone in order to use them to my benefit in interviews in the future. I have had previous experience doing interviews for jobs and scholarships and have even practiced my interviewing skills in high school. I believe it is essential in practicing as much as possible how to do an interview because there will always be a new skill that can be attained and new ways of formalizing an answer to fit the wants of the potential job or opportunity that may arise. It is important to know how to formalize an answer on the spot without sounding unsure of the answer the …show more content…
This would allow me to look like I actually want the job or whatever I am being interviewed for. The most difficult questions for me to answer in a positive manner while connecting it to the purpose of the interview is talking about bad skill I have. I can list off so many yet I have to somehow make them sound positive. This is one thing I was unable to do in my mock interview and need to improve on so much. I remember answering that I am a very indecisive person whom tends to overthink things prior to making decisions which holds me back at times. The interviewer told me to keep my answer the way it is but to morph it in a way to sounds positive and beneficial to the interviewer. The interviewer told me that I could say that my indecisiveness and tendency to overthink things allows me to analyze possibilities and outcomes that may not have been thought of had I just made a quick decision. This was a moment of realization for me because I had never looked at my indecisiveness and overthinking as something convenient. A second thing I need to improve on is not taking long pauses before answering a question. I want to sound sure of what I am saying as well as confident in order to shield any little nervousness I may have. I do not want the interviewer to see me as someone that is unsure but as someone that knows what I am doing and what I
A couple of days ago, I got the chance to interview one of my dad’s friends, Nate, about his experiences with interviews. Currently a Nurse Practitioner, he has had over ten different jobs in his lifetime, ranging from a managerial position at KFC to an emergency room nurse. Just like his past jobs, the types of interviews that he has been in have been wildly different. He has even conducted a few interviews himself. Soon I will be participating in important, career-defining, interviews and it is important that I understand the ropes of an interview. I asked him only a couple of questions, but I got detailed answers and invaluable insights from the mind of both a successful interviewee and
For the purpose of this interview, I interviewed Mrs. Ann Clare- School Psychologist and Mrs. Scott Nelson- School Principal.

What do you consider to be your most important accomplishments on the job since your last review?
My body is shaking and my mind is in shambles. The person reaches out their hand and I shake it with a slightly timid grip. Despite it being a mock interview, sweat slowly seeps out of my skin and keeps me on edge. Incoherent words pour out when the interviewer asks the first question. With each successive question they ask, I gradually get more comfortable with the intimidating atmosphere. However, by the end I have the feeling of defeat. The interviewer pulls up the video of the session, and they point out the stiffness of my body and the shakiness of my voice. Although my body language seems quite timid and recessed, a strength they point out is my ability to keep strong eye contact. With these constructive critiques in mind, I know that I have a lot to practice.
In addition to posing my questions the best I could I also made sure to paraphrase throughout the interview. Paraphrasing is very useful because it helps me clarify what my clients have said. It is smart to clarify so that not only you
For my In-Depth Interview paper, I chose to Interview my co-worker Senada Cufurovic whom I work with at Bank of the West. Senada finds herself culturally diverse as being from another country and culture. As long as I have known Senada from working with her for the past two years, I have never been able to get to know her background from where she came from until this opportunity to interview her came up.

The ministry leader, I interviewed was Mr. Herbert. He has unorthodox ministry, where he ministers to men through cutting hair. Mr. Herbert has turned his passion and talent into a ministry that has transformed many lives.
This past Friday, I completed my mock interview. I decided to bring the job description for my top choice, a Writing Intern position at a small startup called Brain Power, LLC, which is focused on developing neuroassistive technology for people with autism. The position itself would involve multiple types of science writing, including writing for the public, writing for other scientists, and writing to secure government grants. Though I have experience interviewing for jobs in the past, it had always been an uncomfortable and anxiety-inducing situation for me. Despite having gained many tips, tricks, and skills in interviewing through the co-op class, and despite having rehearsed and prepared my answers extensively, I was still quite nervous.
The overall experience of mock interview was great. It turned out really well than I thought. I thought I might do badly when I answer the questions. I worried that I will make mistakes and couldn’t answer the questions during the interview. The feedbacks that I received from a staff member can help me with my future interview preparation. Her feedbacks gave me more idea of how to answer the questions, make it more professional, and persuade
Through reflecting on my previous interview I was able to pull apart both positives and negatives aspects of my interview allowing myself time to look into the effects that the negative
