I had the opportunity to interview Mohammed Iman. Mohammed is a 32-year-old originally from Somalia, who moved to the United States 5 years ago, to be with his wife. Before moving to The United States, Mohammed was living and attending school in Egypt. Mohammed has lived, what he describes, a very fulling life, with an optimistic future. His story is one of love, compassion, and resilience. Mohammed was born in 1984 in Mogadishu, Somalia. Mogadishu is the capital city of Somalia, which is a country on the eastern coast of Africa. He is one of twenty-one children. Of the twenty-one children, only sixteen are still alive. He has three brothers, six half-brothers, four sisters and two half-sisters. Mohammed’s father was the main bread winner of the family. He was a businessman who traveled to Saudi Arabia to buy goods. Upon returning to Somalia, he would sell the goods he bought in Saudi …show more content…
This was hard for Mohammed as he was very close to his mother. However, she was very supportive of his decision. This was Mohammed’s first time out of his country. Mohammed liked that Egypt had a government. In Somalia, there was much unrest since the collapse of their government when the Civil War started in the early 1990’s. Mohammed thought Egypt was beautiful, busy, and more modern than where he came from. There were many more buildings, and even more historic places he liked. He felt the police respected foreigners and he felt welcomed there. While he was in the orphanage he learned Arabic, which enabled him to communicate easily in Egypt. The only thing he did not like was the food. It was in Egypt that he was exposed to the internet and cable. He loved to watch CNN and loved anything to do with politics. He became very interested in the United States. He thought the United States was clean and that there were no homeless people. He also thought that everyone had money, a car, and a
Do you believe that Master Fard Muhammad is Allah in person? While Other religions say that God is not a man, so Master Fard Muhammad cannot be Allah in person, the Nation of Islam believes that Master Fard Muhammad is Allah in person. I do believe that Master Fard Muhammad is Allah in person, and most people doubt it and ask what evidence do we have to prove that, but despite what other people say I do believe that there is reasonable evidence to prove that because He had gained 10,000 followers alone in Black Bottom, Detroit, He took a man named Elijah Poole, who only had a third grade education, and taught him for three years, a knowledge that was so powerful, and He came to North America by himself to raise his father's people.
At first, the history of Islam is connected to Mohamed’s life. Mohamed was born in to a wealthy merchant Clan, which is now Saudi Arabia. On the other hand Muslims thought Islam began with God. Mohamed was raised by his uncle, because his parents and grandparents passed away. Mohamed lived the life of a Quryash Merchant then later married a girl by the name of Khadija. Mohamed started hearing voices and though he was going mad. But Khadija thought differently and told Mohamed that he was the chosen one. Mohamed searched for the true faith of Judaism and Christianity. Mohamed isolated himself in to the mountains near Mecca for retreat and mediation. Gabriel the Angel told Mohamed to recite the Koran. The Koran was only originally recited and not written down in one volume until after Mohamed’s death. This has brought controversy over the authentic composition. Mohamed’s wife was the first to convert.
Muhammad proves the success of his leadership by spreading the knowledge and wisdom of Islam. For example, Muhammad began his first steps, after his encounter with William D. Fard, who was Muhammad's teacher who surprisingly disappeared, Muhammad would, creating organizations that would evolve in size. According to the article, “Elijah Muhammad”, it states, “He continued to preach financial independence for black Americans, racial separation rather than integration, and a strict code of moral behavior, (Biography, Elijah Muhammad)”, this is important because it shows the desire Muhammad had for his people, who are the black community. In addition, he later calls himself the messenger of Allah due to his mission. Furthermore, Muhammad would show off his profession of persuading by the teachings that inspires thousands of blacks. Muhammad demonstrates this by converting a handful of African Americans to study the way of Islam. He moves his teachings to the city of Chicago, which increases his organization with more loyal followers. Nevertheless, his leadership would be a significance to communities of Muslim and also future

This film tells a very interesting life of a man who changed the world over 1,000 years ago. Although he changed the world many years ago he lives through the people of the world, many of which are Americans. I learned many interesting facts about Muhammad, but what I found the most interesting was that when he was born his father died and at the age of six his mother passed. He was soon adopted by his powerful uncle, but Muhammad believed that he was nothing but an orphan. It was said that he could not read or write, although he could not Muhammad made a good life for his self he married and also established a profitable business for his self. He married a woman who was a little older than he was around the age of twenty and many people believed that he was after her money.
Muhammad was born in the year 570 A.D. in the city of Mecca, located now in what is known as Saudi Arabia. His father, Abdullah died before he was born and his mother, Amina passed away when Muhammad was around five or six years old. He was then brought up by his grandfather, ‘Abdul-Muttalib, who treated him with the utmost love. Two years passed before his grandfather also passed away and Muhammad was left in the care of his uncle, Abu Talib and his wife, Fatima. They treated him just as well if not better than their own children. The love they had for the young boy was matched by no one.
Sadam Ali was born in Brooklyn, New York. His parents, who are from Yemen, raised him. He has four sisters and a brother. Ali began boxing at the Bed-Stuy Boxing Club in the neighborhood of Bedford-Stuyvesant at the age of eight. He was inspired by Yemeni-British boxer "Prince" Naseem. Sadam Ali has had a total of twenty-two fights and thirteen knockouts. He has never lost a fight (“Sadam Ali”). Boxers have to learn how to fight with sound technique in the ring. If they don’t know how to fight correctly they will get hurt. In order to become a safe and effective boxer, like Sadam Ali, people need to practice punching, blocking and moving.
While the Abbasids seized power on the Arabian Peninsula, the Umayyad leader Abd al-Rahman fled to the Iberian Peninsula and built a magnificent kingdom. When he reached Spain, he made it Al-Andalus, also known as Muslim Spain. He gained power by uniting the factions that were already there and defeating the ruling factions. Al-Andalus became a glorious kingdom in the Muslim empire because they had powerful leaders, a stable government, and effective tactics for expansion. The reasons for their decline will also be mentioned in this essay.
Muhamad story has proved a point to me even if he had left his town, lost his home he had nothing left Mohamed did have something we all have he brought in a skill of cutting hair and teaching. Knowledge to me is important to me only because you never really stop learning you have the option to continue your knowledge. Such as continuing going to school, learning a skill, your everyday job. When you go to school you learn something every day imagine going to work at your future job you’re going
Morocco people believe that as men you need an heir to receive your inheritance because women can only receive one-third according to the law. As stated, “"...our religion is pitiless for a man who has no heirs. It dispossesses him in favor of his brothers, while the daughters receive only one-third inheritance." (10) However, the son will be able to receive two- third inheritance. This was the reason why Ahmed father really wanted a son. Only if the Morocco people don’t have a value of the Isam inheritance laws than Ahmed fate wouldn’t be like this. She wouldn’t be grow getting treated like a boy all her life. She could have grown up to be a fine young respectful lady just like all her sister.
After ‘The Year of Sorrow’ in which both Muhammad’s uncle- Abu Talib and wife- Kadijah died Muhammad is warned by the angel Gabriel that the situation is getting too dangerous for him in Mecca. “Muhammad knew the faith must find expression in a community which would insure its external force and the opportunity to prevail against opposition” (Cragg). It is at this point that Muhammad is invited to become a leader in Medina (622ce).
