Someone who is very influential to me is my film and television broadcast teacher Mrs. Katrina Allemeier. She was the main person who helped me figure out how much I love making films. I had randomly been placed into her beginning video production class, my sophomore year of high school, when the other elective classes for first semester had been filled up. She introduced me to the process of film making and how to communicate ideas through those films. She encouraged me to begin advanced video production second semester, which I later did and loved greatly. Junior year I joined the IB Film class, but was also accepted into the Television Broadcast Class, which created the school’s news show every week. I didn’t believe that I would do well in this class, because I did not see myself as a leader. Mrs. Allemeier helped me grow as a leader greatly in this class, by making me push myself to advance in my position in the class. I began as a basic reporter and editor working on my segments of the show only. Then she recommended …show more content…
This meant that I had to step up as a leader and take over as producer that day. I was really scared at first because being producer meant you had a lot more responsibilities than I was used to. Mrs. Allemeier had noticed how apprehensive I was at the beginning of class that day. She came to talk to me and tell me that I had all the leadership skills I needed already inside of me, I was just letting my nerves get to my head. After that talk I realized how much I had been doubting myself as leader my whole life. That day I was able to get over my nerves and excel as a leader. Without Mrs. Allemeier helping me realize the leadership skills I had, I would not be the leader I am now. I am more of a leader every day at school, home and at my extracurricular activities. I was able to realize my potential and now I am lined up to be producer at the beginning of my senior
There has been a lot of important and influential moments in my life that have shaped me into the person that I am, but only one takes the cake. The one most influential moment of my life was finding what I am truly passionate about. The fact that I knew what I wanted to do so early in my life was amazing because from there I knew that everything could then fall right into place. I was in Sophomore year when I realized that I had a knack for computers. I loved everything about computers from the hardware to the software end of things. I had to do a paper in Consumer Chemistry about something on the topic of computers and it was so intriguing that I began to do more research on the topic. I have tallied countless hours trying to understand how
Mary appeared to be on board with the intervention. Jan called Mary as her husband requested, for the day off, by Jan’s spouse. Mary provided Jan the day off and continued to be very secretive about the intervention.
My high school art teacher, Jackie Tingle, inspired me to create and further my education in art. Through her constructive criticism and her wonderful teaching skills she easily allowed me to develop my own skills as an artist. In a world full of two-dimensional characters, I found it amazing that she was a successful artist. Before I met her, I did not know it was even remotely possible to have a career in art. To this day, I still have respect for her and how she carries herself. Even at times when students treated her disrespectfully she remained professional.

When some people think of their most memorable teacher, they think of the educator who was the most entertaining in class or taught a subject of interest. The one teacher whose influence never left me in the past six years is my middle school peer leader advisor and gifted and talented teacher, Mrs. Rosnick. Her elegant style, poised use of language and warm personality is enough to make anyone drawn to her. She recognized my ability to stay with a commitment until it is complete and taught me countless lessons about what it means to be an effective leader. Every moment of adversity that I faced with her turned into a teachable moment that I carried with me into high school.
Nothing like Bill, Dr. King’s solution was straightforward; he stood up and protested in a non-violent method for the privileges of his societies. After the Montgomery Alabama bus lines accomplishment for the desegregation, Dr. King created the Southern Christian Leadership Meeting. Dr. King and his devotees traveled around the nation and lectured with civil leaders, formed marches and also protests. His leadership would help his fellow men and women of color stand up for what they believed in (Martin Luther King Jr., 2011).
What teacher has had the most positive influence on me was Mr. Edwards. To start he got me to get out of my shell when I was in 9th grade. He always told me to challenge myself. Also to try new and scary things then never to give up and keep trying. He also influenced me to not always rely on other people I always had that problem when I was a child. He told me one day you parents won't be around to help you all the time you have to be your own woman or man someday it's gonna come whether you like it or not . He also influenced me to become a teacher why because all his students love him to death he is a dad to a lot of his kids including me . I want to have my kids to be able to come to me about anything and think of me not just as a teacher
I’ve had one teacher make an impact on my life and his name was Mr. Harington. He was an intern at eastside elementary school for math. I used to absolutely hate math but he encouraged me to do the best I can. He taught me how to persevere, and stand out, and make a difference.
There has always been this one teacher that has had a positive influence on my life. Mrs. X was an amazing teacher, and she even made me want to be a teacher when I grow up. She can make the subject she’s teaching into something you never thought that she could teach like that. Mrs. X has definitely had a positive influence on my life.
Throughout the years of being in high school, there have been a handful of people who have influenced me during the time of growing into the person I am today. Of all the people I have encountered during these fours years one person has definitely stood out the most as I leave high school, and I could not be anymore grateful for this human being.
Throughout history, there have been a few defining moments that have created America as we know it today. Some of the most influential moments have come from speeches delivered by some of America's most profound individuals. It’s important that we continue to study these individuals because they have defined the world we live in today. The book, Essential American Documents and speeches, contains numerous documents that represent change and reform that have helped us develop as a country and define us as a Nation.
Influence? Why is it that the people who influence us most influence us in ways that are not easily quantified? Through her work with abused children, my mother has shown me the heroism of selfless dedication to a worthy cause. By being an upstanding individual, my playwriting teacher in middle school acted as an inspiring male role model at a time when I needed one most. By being approachable and interesting, my World History teacher in my freshman year of high school opened my eyes to the connections between a society 's culture and its history and broadened my view of cultures and the world. While these influences mean much to me and have contributed greatly to my development, they came too easily to mind.
Mrs. Lee was my eight grade English Teacher. She was a powerful influencer for me because her style of teaching turned learning into an enjoyment. Mrs. Lee made learning very feasible. An example of this is I had often spent hours deliberating over homework and still felt utterly clueless. She had influenced me to not stop at a barrier but, to overcome it to the best of my ability. Often, I felt as if Mrs. Lee was the little voice in my head chanting me on to the finish line. She cared about each of her students as individuals. Just like a parent, she would constantly express words of gratitude. She would come in early or stay after school. I would come in regularly in the morning, to which I remembered the smell of warm coffee and sweet peppermints. Even the smell of her eloquent perfume was comforting to me. Mrs. Lee wanted all her students to succeed, not to just be successful in her class but in the future. Mrs. Lee had an uncanny philosophy for teaching. I have always excelled in math and science because those classes are appealing to
“People with the intent to do more do. And people who don’t are influenced by those who do.” (Me). Most inspire because they’ve been inspired. Whether they’ve been inspired by a person or an event that’s happened in life is unclear, but either way, their lives are changed in a prodigious way! I have been impacted by my oldest sister Lakeidea Burns. Lakeidea acted my life by being incredibly motivational, creatively inspiring, and genuinely educated. My sister, Lakeidea has been a magnanimous figure in my life and she has put so much into my future that I had no choice but to write this essay on her.
We tend to forgive the people that we love. Parents overlook their children's flaws, lovers forgive infidelity, and friends forgive friends for lying. Perhaps this is why we have forgiven Albert Einstein for releasing the equation to develop an atomic bomb (DiscoverMagazine.com). Instead, we remember him as one of the most influential outliers ever. Without his discoveries, science would not be what it is today. Under his wacky alabaster hair is one important brain, so important that it was stolen by scientists after he died. His theory of relativity, suggested that “the laws of physics are the same for all non-accelerating observers, and he showed that the speed of light within a vacuum is the same no matter the speed at which the observer travels” (Redd). He took physics by surprise. His passionate research led him to be the most important physicists in the 20th century but he wouldn’t be that today without his academic career, his quest from Germany to the United States, and his predecessors.
