Dear Julia, It’s Catherine and I don’t write that much to you because i’m either too lazy to type up something or that I’m just too dumb. For the most part this year I just wanna write little something for u to read, today or whenever ur feeling lost. So hopefully this works and if it doesn’t go get more chicken nuggets and coffee. It’s so amazing how everyday I wake up and realize to myself how am I so lucky to have three amazing people in my life. One of them I wanna talk about in this letter. When someone comes to your life and you expect nothing out of it but suddenly there right in front of you is everything you ever need. Now, I don’t know if you’re the type of person who would cry in letters or just be really happy for no reason at all. When the first day of work I never thought i would speak to and now you are my best friend. WOW. I can’t thank you enough for everything you have done to shape me into the person I am Today. I give you a lot of credit because you work hard for what you do and if people can’t see that then screw them, they aren’t those one who will have amazing future like you will. You don’t realize how much better my life has become and all because you came out of nowhere. I didn’t see u coming. Our friendship filled a hole in my life that I didn’t know existed. I wasn’t expecting you when God placed you in my life. Sometimes you meet people and you just know that you’re going to be good friends with and you and I just clicked like that. Thank you
My dog Murphy, who was seven years old, was like my best friend. He was always at my side since day one. He was a loving, fun, and comforting dog. Murphy was super protective of me and would always try to get someone’s attention when he thought I needed help. I never knew a dog was capable of doing that, but he could. Murphy was literally the best dog in the world. Anytime I was sad, he knew. To cheer me up, I got his slobbery kisses to the point where my face was gone at the end! I always saw a long life planned ahead for him. I expected him to live till he was twelve, like most dogs, but that wasn’t the case.
Most people often talk about all the exciting and fun things they did with their best friends. Things such as, girls night out, nail and spa day, but not me. My best friend is my brother, we use to do everything together, but we definitely never had a spa day or anything girly like that because he was to “manly” for it. As siblings, we didn’t always get along very well, but we still loved each other. We had a relationship that is built on trust and a bit of sibling rivalry. But what brother and sister doesn’t fight. When we were younger we always tried coming up with games such as cops and robbers, and in the end I would somehow end up tied or locked in the basement. To me it really didn’t matter what game we played as long as we were together. Like many siblings our rough housing went a little too far sometimes, one time I bit my brothers back and left teeth marks, but later he knocked out my tooth. So our punishments for hurting each other was having to love each other, in a way. My mom took duct tape and taped one arm and one leg together and we had to spend 3 hours taped together or until we could figure out how to love each other and be nice again. My brother and I have always been super close.
I can remember the day that I lost my best friend like it was yesterday. I remember getting the phone call from joseph's mom, Ms. Bennett.Joseph was her baby. Joseph and I had been best buds throughout all of high school and into our college days, both being accepted to the same university and rooming together, we always spent time with each other.
It was a warm crisp day; with red and yellow leaves scattered down the path. I was alone, which isn't a surprise because I don't have many friend. Leah would have loved this I thought. Leah was a tall, blond haired, blue eyed girl with the brightest smile.Leah just happened to be my best and only true friend. You know what they say, every brunette needs a blonde best friend. Even though I didn't have much I had a loving family and a best friend, what else would I need. Our lives were perfect, until the morning of October 12. October 12, the day he showed up. He was a new kid named Gage. Gage was a junior just like us and had the first class of the day with leah and I. We gave him a tour of the school and told him the basic new kid story. Ya know, if you need anything just ask and ill help, that kinda spill. Everything was normal then Leah and Gage started hanging out more, just like we use to. As time went on they got closer and me and leah got farther apart. I would sit with them at lunch but that was basically it after Gage showed up. I was happy for her, she found someone who loved her for who she was.
TJ Graves is not your average 21 year old, not many people can say they are 21 and driving a race car. Last summer, TJ went from being just a driver on a race track to someone I can call my best friend. At the time, I had never talked to him - that night in august changed my life for ever.
My day got off the ground normally enough (1). I awoke from a normal night’s dream-filled sleep in my normal, ever-so-drab bedroom. I ate my normal breakfast of possibly burnt toast and bacon. I put on normal clothes that totally weren’t on the floor from the prior week.... I used normal toothpaste that left my breath fresh and minty. I found some normal, albeit dusty, socks, and tied my normal high tops in normal triple knots. I went to school on a normal dirty school bus with the normal annoying people doing their normal thing - studying, listening to music, reading, bullying others for their lunches, et cetera. I sat by my normal bus-friend, Ezra, who did the normal rant about his not-so-normal family life (32). I listened patiently, like a good, normal friend. School was even as normal as sophomore classes can get.
Bang! I woke up to the sound of the garbage man slamming the heavy garbage can to the ground. Every Saturday I woke up to that same sound except this Saturday was a special one. It’s the day I had been waiting for, for about two months, now my trip to Madagascar! I was fortunate enough to be going for fourteen spectacular days with my best friend Colin. Colin had been my best friend for as long as I can remember. I had made so many great memories with him and I can’t wait to make more. He is the definition of a perfect friend with his funny and outgoing personality. We were staying at this premium all inclusive resort, which had endless fresh caught shrimp and squeezed tropical juices! Colin had always rambled about wanting to go somewhere exotic so we decided to explore a part of the world we had never seen for our Christmas break. Also it was a nice bonus to get away from the windy city of Chicago which was starting to get colder in the winter months. I heard a knock on my door and rushed down the stairs of my apartment. I could see Colin’s broad and short figure through the frosted glass of my door. He came in and we feasted on some Cheerios and fruit, It was going to be a very long flight from Chicago to Madagascar and we didn’t want to be hungry on the plane. The adrenaline rushing through his body was evident to me. Oh, I forgot to mention we were taking Colin’s parent’s private jet. The clock read nine-thirty and our flight took off at eleven so we decided to pack
Hi, I’m Harper. I’ve had a rough past. My mom left me as a baby so I live with my dad and grandma, I’ve been bullied as a younger kid because of my really big glasses but thank god for contacts. Enosch Is my best friend, he is 14 just like me. He’s a little taller than me and the weird thing is we could be siblings we look exactly alike. He has brown hair, I have brown hair. He has green eyes, I have green eyes. We’ve been friends ever since I moved here, which was about the beginning of the summer. It’s now a week into school and so far I really think I’ll like it here.
It was starting from one month ago. I played basketball with my best friend and I also know he is better than me. Yeah, I’m jealous of him so I pushed him to think he hurts his ankle, I know I did wrong but I just felt that he was so cocky, I didn’t say sorry. I didn’t want to say sorry.
June 9, the day my best friend Abby, had gotten her first boyfriend. Don’t get me wrong, at the time I was more than happy for her but little did I know that this would change everything, and I mean everything. I can't pinpoint the exact reason that lead to our friendship ending but it all comes down to the fact that it no longer exists. You would expect me to tell about some big fight that ended our friendship and left us both in tears and regrets, because that how things are supposed to end. No, not ours; Ours ended much differently and for many different reasons.
To speak two different languages is such a powerful trait to have. One of my best friends is bilingual and she amazes me. Her name is Evelyn and I met her four years ago. I was eleven when we first met and she was ten. She lives in Montevideo, Uruguay. I made the long and dreadful trip back there when I was thirteen. It was like a big happy family reunion. I went back again just a month ago, this time being fifteen years old. In an odd way, it feels like we have grown up together. Getting to visit her, her inspiring family, and amazing church has been one of the most encouraging things in my life.
Time really doesn’t heal; it just blurs things. It will never pull a cover over my best friends face or hide the fact that I hurt him in the worst way. Joseph was a quirky guy with thick, brown, curly hair who wore glasses that were too big for his face. His pants didn't fit him right, he always tucked in his shirts, and he smelled like fresh laundry.

I knew something was wrong the summer my best friend walked through me. Katie was like any other normal eight year old. She loved princesses, castles, and had an imagination like I had never experienced. Katie and I had been friends since she was two years old and had always been inseparable. Everywhere Katie went, I went. Our friendship was one of perfection, filled with elegant tea parties, heroic missions, and sleepy bedtime ballads. Katie was my everything and I was hers, at least until that day on the playground.
For many people their best friend may never be a person most times it is an animal of some sort. Almost fourteen years of my life I have had my best friend his name is Drake he is a black lab. The best thing that has ever happened in my life I don’t ever think that I will be able to find another one exactly like him. I had from the time I started school to just before senior year.
