My Dragon Research Paper

“Slaying the Dragon” by Deborah Gee is a comprehensive look at media stereotypes of Asian and Asian American women since the silent era. From the racist use of white actors to portray Asians in early Hollywood films, through the success of Anna May Wong’s sinister dragon lady, to Suzie Wong and the ‘50s geisha girls, to the Asian-American anchorwoman of today. The movie also shows how stereotypes of exoticism and docility have affected the perception of Asian-American women.

This is a tale surrounding the dragons. There are 8 types of dragons each having a respected area. The Fire dragons and the volcanic gardens, The Ice dragons and their Ice mountains, The Electric and Air dragons and their Drakon Clouds. Water dragons has their Drakon Lakes, Magic are in the Orc Land, Forest on Omega Isle, and Earth in the Dragon Valleys. There have been many wars but at this time they are at peace.

If one wanted to see the sights of the vast world, there were many places to gaze upon the wonders of nature and of man.

Good morning/afternoon Mrs Morrah and students. I have chosen 6 items for my showbag to represent the theme, setting or character of the novel ‘dragon keeper’. To represent the theme of friendship, I have chosen 2 magnets, this is for Danzi and Ping. Just like magnets, Danzi and Ping always reunite. Throughout the novel, Danzi and Ping have at one stage been separated and have come back together.

espite their small size, sea dragons are carnivorous animals and therefore have a purely meat-based diet. The sea dragon uses its pipe-like snout to suck its prey into its oddly tooth-less mouth. Sea dragons hunt crustaceans, plankton, shrimp and even small fish, using their camouflage to their advantage. Sea dragons have numerous natural predators in the south and western coastal waters of Australia but are rarely even spotted to the elaborate camouflage of the sea dragon. Those few sea dragons that are unlucky enough to be found, are usually spotted by large fish. As with sea horses, it is the male sea dragon who care for the eggs once they have been laid by the female. The female lays around 250 eggs onto the long tail of the male sea horse.

In the novel, Dealing With Dragons, by Patricia C. Wrede, the main character Cimorene does not want to be a proper princess.Since she does not like being a proper princess, she runs away from her castle and wedding then goes to a dragon's cave and becomes Kazul’s princess.While she is the dragon’s princess she saves them from a couple of wizards, Zemenar and Antorell, and a dragon, Woraug, from becoming king and giving the wizards the crystal plate.Cimorene shows unprincess-like behavior.

"Fighting over power. Like every dragon ever. But it's not their power - it's Darkstalker's, and they want to use it, the same way Scarlet used mine. But that scroll is too dangerous to be in this world. Even if a good dragon controlled it... even if it didn't change that good dragon to have that much power... even if we could somehow guarantee that it would never fall into evil talons... it shouldn't exist. The Dragon Flyer is the first steel racing/dueling coaster in Pennsylvania. This ride is a double track roller coaster with fast speeds going up to 70 mph! In the satirical story, Dealing with Dragons, Patricia C. Wrede portrays Cimorene, an extraordinary princess of Linderwall who doesn’t want to be under supervision, as a princess that does not think that the requirements of being a princess apply to her. Cimorene leaves the castle to go live with the dragons of the Mountains of Morning. Cimorene was not justified because if she marries Therandil Linderwall will become a prosperous kingdom. Also, It is apart of Cimorene’s heritage to become a Queen. Finally if all her family members were to die, there will be no royal blood would rule the kingdom. However, in the eyes of others, Cimorene is justified in leaving

The famed castle in the sky, the citadel of the gods, and the seat of power through the Revalon Empire. It went by many names from many different people, but one thing could be agreed upon universally; it was a technological marvel. Many things had been created simply from studying the design of the impressive flying castle. Of course though it all belonged to the royal family along with just about everything else under the sun-touched lands. The power of Dragonsreach was irresistible and that meant that whoever ruled it would essentially be a god in the face of lesser kings. The current king had been chosen to rule from Dragonsreach based on a democratic process of sorts years ago, but now that the throne was comfortably sat in no one in the realm could overrule a decree by the High King of Revalon. The floating castle was both a symbol of unmatched beauty and of unmatched power.

Over the summer Scrap Dragon opened its doors to the community. Old and new friends called in each Saturday to have a look around at all the weird and wonderful materials suitable for art, crafts and children’s play. Out of the 24 animals possible for a class pet, i have chose the bearded dragon. The bearded dragon is a magnificent lizard that can have the most appealing colors, with its spikes growing on the bearded dragon they are not as harmful as they seem. They are becoming one of the most popular pets in the UK right now. The horns on its face and body do look frighteningly ferocious but its is actually just a part of their skin and is used for intimidation. The bearded dragon seems almost perfect for a group of kids!

Can you grow a beard on-command? I didn’t think so, but a Bearded Dragon can. The Bearded Dragon would make an ideal pet for a couple reasons. First of all Bearded Dragons are easy to take care of because they don’t need a large space, and you don’t have to walk or play with them. Also, Bearded Dragons are cool looking. For example, their throat can expand into what looks like a black beard, and they have a crown of spikes around their head Lastly they are inquisitive creatures, so they like to look around and see what’s going on. In conclusion, Bearded Dragons have all the benefits of an exotic pet and few of the disadvantages.

In the novel, Dealing with Dragons by Patricia C. Wade, the main character Cimorene runs away from home in hopes of getting away from all the rules of being proper. When she runs away she goes to the enchanted forest where she meets Kazul and other dragons, and volunteers to be Kazul’s princess. then later her best friend Alianora ,the stone prince and her defeat of Woraug and how the wizards how were planning to sabotage the trails so that Woraugcould win ,become king and give the King’s Crystal to the wizards so they could find all of the most magical treasure.In addition athough Cimorene had run away from home to get away from being proper and acting kind to those that she did not feel fond of for example Therindal,she did in fact act very princess like when she was the of Kazul, the dragon.
