Last night I had the craziest dream. I went to fell asleep while watching “The Gift”. It was around midnight when I fell asleep and that is when my weird dream occurred. I arrived at the carnival early in the evening. I purchased my ticket for the ferris wheel, along with my sister, Clara. We proceeded to wait in line. The line was about a 2 hour wait. We waited in the line, which felt like eternity. It was finally our turn. We had both stepped onto the ferris wheel with caution. I had a bad fear of heights and so did my sister. Clara set down her purple teddy bear next to her that she had just won in the ring toss. As the ferris wheel began to turn, I pulled out my polaroid camera to take some pictures. I snapped a picture of Clara and I at the very top of the ferris wheel. The picture came out of the camera and I shook it to get it to dry faster. It actually came out pretty good. I slid the picture inside the pocket on the teddybears’ t-shirt. The t-shirt was a pretty baby pink shirt with tiny white polka-dots. Suddenly the ferris wheel to rock back and forth. Clara and I started to panic. A man got on the loudspeaker “We seem to be having some technical difficulties, the ride will resume shortly.” That is when I shot up out of bed heavily breathing and sweating. “That was a weird dream” I said to myself. I got out of bed and started getting ready for the day. My phone began to ring. It was my sister. I picked up my phone and I answered. “Hello?”. Clara had just invited me to the carnival that is in town for the weekend. I agreed to go with her. Later that day, I met up with her at the carnival. She embraced me in the biggest hug when I saw her. I had not seen her in quite a while. We began walking around, talking and catching up. She pointed to the giant ferris wheel, “Lets go!” I stopped in my tracks. I was a little scared because I have a big fear of heights. She insisted I go with her. “Sure, why not?” I said. We waited in line which did not take very long. We stepped onto the ferris wheel, as the man closed the door behind us, it began to turn pretty quick. We got to the top of the ferris wheel and all of a sudden, it stopped. I looked over at Clara. She had a worried look on her face. I didn’t want to
My cousin and I were heading over to our favorite ride there, the Twirl And Whirl, it was so fun, when we went on that ride it felt like we were flying when we closed our eyes and felt it spin. While we were on the ride my sister and her friend asked if they could go on the roller coaster and our dad said,”Yes, but first let 's wait for this ride to be done so all of us can go.” soon the twirl and whirl ride stopped and we got off and headed towards the roller coaster ride called the bullet, we waited in line for maybe 10 min then got on, I sat next to my dad because it was my first roller coaster ride,”Everyone
There were thoughts of actually dying and that gave me a strong excitement. The ride had begun it was slowly going up at first I could see myself getting higher and watch my mom wave at me. All of a sudden the ride had stopped. It was about to get much faster and at that exact moment my mind went blank. The ride had started going up instantaneously as I started to yell at the top of my lungs. I was faced toward the theme park as I went higher I felt butterflies squeeze my stomach. Once I reached the top the ride it stopped moving. The whole theme park was so small from the top of the ride I was surprised to realize that my mom looked like an ant. The rays of the sun were flashing into my face but I was feeling fantastic. Suddenly, there was a sound of gas release and boom the ride started to go down and things started to get bigger again.
I looked up at the roller coaster and all its' loops and turns and jumped with excitement. "Let's go!", I exclaimed. As we were walking up the stairs, a part of me wanted to turn back, but i was determined to get on this one ride. I stood at the gates, waiting for it to be my turn and before i knew it, I was the next one. I went through the gates and went straight to my seat. Henry sat right next to me and held my hand. I was ready. The ride started to take off and I knew there was no turning back now. Up and up we went. The ground below us got further away. I held on tightly to my boyfriends hand and down we
We laughed as we waited in line. Before i knew it we were at the front of the line. We handed the old man wearing a deep frown our tickets. We ran up the few steps hastily. I buckled myself in and waited excitedly. As the time went on more people started to pile in on the ride. After a minute the guy went to check and see if everyone was buckled in correctly after he completed his task he got of and started the ride. It went slow and steady at first, but it started to gained speed and height. The higher we got the lower my stomach dropped. I held my hands up and felt the my hair dance in the cool wind. After the ride was over he and I rode more rides than we could
As soon as we pulled up me and my brother Spencer jumped out of the car like we were bungee jumping, although I still kinda felt really sick, but there was no time to chicken out and ruin this perfect day so I sucked it up and went with it. We took the Six Flags bus to get closer to the park. The bus had a circle in the middle that spun so I asked my mom if I could sit there and she said, yes! They were sitting in the front of the bus where I couldn't see them but it didn't matter. I felt like I was already on a roller coaster because every time he would turn a corner I would go flying. I looked out the window and saw the most beautiful tree I have ever laid my blue eyeballs on, in my life. All I could think of is I will never see a tree that beautiful in my life! After what feels like an hour on the bus I get really sick and tired of the “pretend rollercoaster” so I look out the window to see another really pretty tree! “My goodness they have a lot of beautiful trees” I say under my breath and think nothing of it. A few more minutes go by and the
One summer day in July , Me and my friend Carol went to an amusement park called Cedar Point . Cedar Point is located in Sandusky , Ohio and two and a half hours away . My mom and me wanted to go on a ride called the Maverick . The Maverick is Cedar Point’s steepest roller coaster and its speed is 70 miles per hour . The Maverick also has a 95 degree drop ! Then we went in line and waited for about an hour and a half . It was about eleven o'clock when we got close to the front of the line . When we finally got to the roller coaster I regretted going on because it was very dark and I couldn't see where the drop was and I don’t like steep roller coasters . Because of that me and Carol where panicking the whole way up . As soon as we got to the
When I got done, my sister and mom were waiting for me so I hurried up and slipped my shoes on then ran out to the car and then we were on our way to the carnival. When we pulled into the parking lot all you could hear was screaming from the people on rides. My mom said, “Ima got home there’s to many people here, but you girls can stay”. So my sister and I got out the car and ran to the both
Then my brother, both my sisters, and parents got out of the car, and the first item I saw was advertising for the park. The advertising said “Hollywood Studios” and had a picture of a rollercoaster, and all I felt was butterflies in my stomach. The next day we woke up in the early morning to get ready so that we could arrive when the park opened. When we arrived, I could see all the rides and an enormous crowd of people swarming around trying to find the shortest line to enter the park the fastest. My sister grabbed me hastily and said “Come on, Alex, let's go get on The Rock N Roller coaster.” My parents walked with us, but they didn't ride the roller coaster, so my sister and I were the only ones from our family. As we waited in line, I felt mixed feelings shoot through my body. Then my turn came, and I slowly entered the blue seat of the ride and buckled up tightly, making sure nothing at all could get loose. On a screen the ride counted down, six, five, four, three,
As soon as I looked up, I felt sick, the structure and ride was so big. I didn’t know that I could do it, but I had to, I couldn’t chicken out in front my Dad. After all I already told him I would go. We walked into Space Mountain, there were lights everywhere we looked. I started to jump up and down, I started to get excited for once about a roller coaster, I felt so proud of myself, I would actually get a chance to ride a roller coaster again! I felt scared, and I also felt so happy and proud of myself at the same time. My Mom and brother chickened out on going, so I felt so alive, and mature to be riding such a big ride. I looked at the line, there were no people, we were early! “Come on Daddy, there are more people coming behind us!” Behind me and my dad, were a big group of people walking in, we wanted first in front of the, so I ran and dashed through the aisle, the lights lit up
My alarm rings, I push open the wooden window shaders to see the early commuters honking and speeding past. The smell of the street bakers and restaurants ready to open for the locals. I get ready to head outside for another busy yet wonderful day. I head outside. I see cars, mums taking their kids to school, elderly at the bakery buying this week's bread and many, many tourists flooding the streets. I feel the hot air on my skin as a light breeze passes by me and the hot sun covering me.
The moment I believed would mark one of the best summer day of my life. As I got on the ride I slowly buckled up and my hands immediately grabbed on tightly the metal harness. While waiting on the people to start the machine I was closing my eyes and imaging how it would feel. Suddenly my feet were off the ground and I found myself looking up. At first I did not dare look down, for I thought I would start panicking. I quickly looked down and saw lights then looked back up. While it arrived to the highest point I said “This is a precious moment in your life, just take the time to look at the beauty in front of you.” I started to look down and got to see the whole park. It was like seeing Christmas lights, it was bright with different colors. Instantaneously the ride dropped, I felt as if my heart was going to come out of my body. I screamed so hard that I could feel my veins in my head accumulating the blood from the pressure of the ride and from me screaming. It stopped half way and it took us up again. This time it did not go all the way, but it slowly went up and once again it quickly went down. At the end of the ride, as my feet touched the ground I was so thankful to God that I made it through without having a heart attack or panic
As the worker pressed the button to go all I could hear was people screaming from another ride. As we went up I could hear the roller coaster clicking second by second. When we got to the top it felt like we were miles above the ground. We were slowly leaning over the ground feet dangling in the air.
The one thing I refused to do as a kid was ride roller coasters. I hated them. I hadn’t ridden one, but just looking at them I would be petrified. We were sitting at home watching TV when my mom informed us that we were going to Universal the next day. I excitement immediately struck me, thinking about all the things we could do, until I started to think about what would REALLY happen. I knew that my sister was going to pester me non-stop about riding one of those mechanical monsters. So, I decided it would be easier if as soon as we got there I tried to gather the courage to ride one. I lied in bed for hours trying to sleep, but to no avail, due to the excitement and nervousness about what would happen the next day. After a while I finally drifted off into refreshing sleep. In what felt like an instant my pillow was yanked out from under my head and my lights were turned on. “Wake up, we’re leaving in twenty minutes.” My sister screamed into my ear. Twenty minutes of rushed preparing later, and I was ready to go.
I walk to the line for “The Eagle” and tell my family that i will see them on the other side. The seats are by two so i know i will be sitting with a stranger. We get to the very end of the line where they put you in lines for the seats. I see that i will be sitting with a girl my age. The people that just went got off and we went on. The girl’s name was Sarah and we were both talking about how scared we were. We lock our seats and the people come to check if we were secured good. “ Here goes nothing!!” she says to me and off we go. The ride is going very fast and there were many turns and loops. Our feet are hanging off the ride and it really felt like my shoe was about to fly off!! We get to the biggest drop and as we are going up Sarah and I are talking about how fun it's going to
Then, my family and I went to Hershey Park as a birthday gift for me. At the entrance, I saw an enormous light blue and bright yellow water slide that almost looked like half of a tornado. It was a really hot day, the temperature was almost 87 degrees. We walked over to the water section, and I was amazed how big it was, It was like a pool with water slides for gods. My brother told me right away, “We must go on that slide,” and that was the moment I knew I would go on that gigantic water slide, I was relieved because I desperately needed a something to refresh myself, and I was scared. When I was waiting in-line I went up so many stairs, which took a while. Finally, I was where the slide started, My brother’s back was facing the slide and I was facing the slide on the tube. “Shahan, are you ready? ” My brother asked me,
