I thought it was going to be a normal day. Afterall, the day had started out normal. I woke up, got ready, and went to school. All of my morning classes had passed by pretty quickly. The bell that signals the end of fourth period rang, and I headed to my least favorite class of the day, Language Arts. Now you might be wondering why I hate that class so much, it’s not because I dislike the subject, it’s because of the people that were in it. I sat in the middle of my row and I was literally surrounded by bullies. I got picked on pretty badly in that class on a daily basis, and I usually wasn’t in a good mood afterwards. After dragging through the rest of the day, school finally ended. I was so excited to finally be able to go home and enjoy my weekend. My cousin picked me up and she surprised my other cousins and I with a treat. She took us to get ice cream and play games at Southland. I was shocked because the original plan was for me to be dropped off at my moms work. I didn’t pay this much mind because I was happy that I was going to get ice cream. After my mom got off work, she met my cousin across the street from Southland to pick me up. When I got in the car with her, I pulled out my phone. I knew something was off because she told me not to get on it. Her excuse for me not to get on my phone was that she didn’t want me to get in trouble with my brother’s dad for using too much data. This made me somewhat agitated because I knew that I had plenty of data left. When we
After, I asked my cousins parents if they could come to Atlanta with me and my mom to go and see my father they yes if they were back before school started on the 6th of september. Lucky for us it was August 21th so we had 2 weeks left until school started. When my cousins found out they were going to Atlanta with me they were so happy, and excited. But i have to say i was excited to. Maybe even my happy, and excited than they were.
I woke up, it was Monday the first day of school at Cupertino Middle School. I got up and took in the eye shattering light from the Sun's burning rays, and got ready for middle school being careful to make every little detail perfect like my hair, shirt, and of course school supplies.
It was an average day. I turned in my theme. I went about the day normally. It was all going to be fine, I thought.
Something that i did not like about this class was that the schedule sometimes got very messy. Sometimes we would get a lot of work at once and I would not know what was do when. That really affected my grade because most of my work would be incomplete. Also, when I thought we were going to go over something in class we never talked about
I never really participated in, what I now like to call, class beatdowns, I was always in my seat alongside the
One beautiful Monday morning, everything was calm (for now). I woke up very fresh, excited, and ready to go to school! It was a nice and sunny day, the best way to start a week. I woke up at 6:00 a.m and had a lot of time to get ready for the school day. After that I wore my clothes, did my hair, and brushed My teeth. Next, I had breakfast that included cereal, milk, and apple juice. My sister and I went outside and saw that my dad was waiting for us to get in the car, so that he can take us to school.
Before I had her class, all I heard my junior year was not to take it. “Her class is hard” and “She gives a lot of work” were the two most common phrases I heard from the seniors. One of my best friends told me to get out of it as soon as possible. I questioned why everyone hated her class
On the last day of the semester, I was still a bit sick, but I had to take my exams. After I finished and corrected the language arts exam, I got a 90 and I was happy. I texted my dad and he came and got me from school. When I got home, I slept for an hour. Then most of the break was playing on my computer.
The school day did not start out as the normal routine and I was not used to this. I came in the classroom, set my backpack in my cubbie, and the teacher was watching the television screen. I cannot recollect what my teacher told the class about the events. Either I was too young to remember what she said or I was not paying attention. After everyone settled down, Mrs. Scholar began the school day. I remember some kids were leaving school. Their parents came and picked them up after just dropping them off an hour ago. Some of my classmates did not come to school that day at all. I
Eighth grade was a difficult year for me, because I had a lot going on. I took my first high school class, which was Algebra I. This required more work outside of class than I was used to. On top of this, I took my other classes, which were also challenging at the time. As if this were not enough, I was involved in sports during every season. It was difficult to balance my time when I was this young, but I finally got used to it. Just when I thought things were going smoothly, I became ill with E. Coli 0157.
Remember being taught something new in a mathematics class and thinking to yourself, “when am I ever going to use this in life?” Sure, not every mathematical theory taught in class will be used in your career, but from my experience, many of the skills learned in mathematics are frequently utilized each day. While mathematics may not be everyone’s favorite subject, I found it to be not only the subject I use the most outside of school, but the one that I enjoy the most, which is why mathematics is my favorite subject.
I hurried to my last class of the day, history. Most kids hate history, but I love it. It seems that I know more about the time in history that we’re studying than my teacher Mr. Southam does. I was thinking about the party my mom was throwing for me, when I was sent flying to the ground, my stuff scattered all over the place.
I thought it was going to be a good day, an average weekend to me. It was my birthday, but I didn’t expect anything. My dad slammed my wooden oak door open and stood there with an unreadable expression.
First, we went to the house of my aunt. My cousins and I were very happy to see each other. We talked, played and saw the TV. My baby cousin played dolls with my sister.
Then my dad drove us to the bakery and we played charades again and finished another episode of America’s Next Top Model before my parents dropped her off at her house, leaving me all alone once again.
