During the summer of 2017, at the end of July, I went on my first cruise. Since it was my first cruise ever, I was nervous, but really excited. I went with my parents and older sister. Everyone was telling me how fun cruises are, but I didn’t really know what to expect. I was just so excited and I knew that this was going to be a very memorable family vacation. The cruise was in Jacksonville, FL so it was about a four hour drive. When we got there we had to go through security. While we were walking through the cruise ship to see everything we became a little disappointed. It was smaller than we expected and after a couple of hours we realized that there was barely anything to do. That night we went to dinner and realized that the
The guarantee of work, an excellent benefit that offers to employees and the quality of training program at the Seafarers Harry Lundeberg School of Seamanship are the reasons why I want to be a Merchant Mariner. A Merchant Mariner career provide an established job and the outstanding of income to the seamen moreover, it also offers a great benefit to cover their family. With the prospect of jobs demand a merchant mariner has opportunities for growth in the marine jobs and it has high level demand to serve the maritime shipping industry, particularly in the private sector like a cruise ship and cargo industry that operate around the world. These private sector depend on the Merchant Mariners to perform preventative maintenance on equipment and delivery cargo on time. Base on the world consumer and the US economy depend on cargo ship and Cruise ships to support gross domestic product.
The criteria I have chosen for choosing a weekend cruise to The Bahamas suggest that I should depart from Miami following the weekend starting Friday December 5 to Sunday December 9, in a cruise ship capable of accommodating a minimum of 1500 passenger with a max of 2000 passengers. The cruise ship shouldn’t be older than 10 years if never renovated. If renovated it should be 5 years from the date renovation was finished. The entire cruise for two should not exceed $600. My recommendation for the weekend cruise to The Bahamas is option 3 or ship 3. According to the criteria I assign for this cruise, ship 1 (The Bahamas Paradise) is the more indicating to travel on. Apparently fits the criteria with the exception of the
I`ve been on planes, cars, and many things in my life but I have never been on a cruise, and on this Alaskan Cruise I was able to try new things. In our ship they had swimming pools, ping pong tables, casinos, and a extraordinary ice cream bar. One of my favorite parts of this trip was holding two baby sled dogs that were two weeks old. I also liked kayaking, plus I shared a kayak with my sister, Mia, and I controlled the kayak from the back. After that my family and I went on a bus ride to see caribou, bears, and glaciers. I also went on a hike and float with the Kendal`s (who are my cousins), because there daughter Annie was sleepy. I saw cool trees and fascinating wildlife. I even was allowed to eat berries that tasted like watermelon, but
It was carrying a lot of people from all over the world. I have never been so excited in my life to go to one place. The anticipation was so overwhelming and once again, I could not wait to get to the resort. After a twenty minute bus ride we got to the resort. Once I stepped off the bus I could remember seeing the beautiful palm trees and feeling the heat of the sun beating on my face. I said to my dad, finally we made it and let the fun begin. We got settled and checked into the hotel. My brother and I decided to check the rest of the resort out. The resort had a crystal clear pool with a bar in it. It was amazing and I have never seen anything like it before in my life. The resort also had ten gourmet restaurants and plenty of entertaining things for us kids to do. So, after we did this we went back to our hotel and stayed in for the night. We were beat and just wanted to get some sleep from the long day of
2. Suppose a customer buys an iPhone from Apple for $500 on January 1, 2010. The cost of the iPhone to Apple is $350. Assume that the customer is entitled to upgrades over the next two years. Use the following financial statement effects template (FSET) to illustrate the financial statement impacts for Apple of the customer's iPhone purchase on the date of the initial purchase and at the end of each of the two years following the initial purchase under generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).

I have a deep ambition to induce positive change in my life and the lives of others. I have had many Officers over my naval career, and the ones that have made the largest impact on my personal and professional life have been Mustangs. It would be an honor to be able to make the same kind of change on my future Sailors. I am a deeply driven and conscientious Sailor whose motivation does not stop and start at the office door. I believe that the Navy could greatly benefit by allowing me to join the Officer ranks. I know the right balance between getting the job done, and when to help your Sailor. My goals in life are to be able to provide for my family. I have a mission in life for self-improvement, and I believe that is never done. I will be finishing my Bachelor's Degree and will move on to my Master's Degree shortly after. A personal goal would be to raise my daughter to be the best person, and instill the same morals and work ethic that I have in her. After I retire from the Navy, I want to open a non-profit organization that helps people and animals in need. I want to be able to give back to a world where some are less fortunate than me.
My family and I left for Panama city, Florida in June of 2011. The trip was so fun; we sang songs and laughed hysterically during the whole ride there. When we arrived we were all ready for the beach warm sand and it’s cool waves. We stayed at the beach until about nine and everyone prepared for dinner. Once everyone settled in we sat and ate dinner, as always the dinner was great with my family. Everyone talked about any and everything; we even cracked jokes on each other.
I quickly changed into comfortable clothes and woke my brother up (which probably took five minutes) and ate breakfast. I hopped into our rental car, which was presumably small. Three layers of soft, feathered blankets over me, and probably holding onto five different head pillows. “I can’t believe we get to go to South Padre Island for three days!” I yelled to my family. It takes about eight hours to arrive at our hotel, so I definitely got carsick. The good news was that we got to eat fast food! Andrew and I got to sleep a lot while the parents got to drive. We arrived after 7 pm to our hotel. Then, we grabbed our heavy, bulky, luggage and brought them to our room to the 2nd floor. After we unpacked, we were exhausted and all but we still had the stamina to go down to the beach and take a view on the glazing ocean water. It looked very delicate like a clear foil was laid on top of the water. I doused my feet in the cool, numb water. While digging my hands deep in the soft, cushy, sand, I could feel all the grains go
We think that daily spot hire rate will likely decrease next year. There are two reasons. First, there are 63 new vessels scheduled for delivery in 2001 to increase the supply of vessel and only few old vessels need to be retired, while the demand will not increase because imports of iron ore and coal would remain stagnant over next two years. Second, exhibit 5 shows that avg. spot rate of 2000 was higher than the rate of previous years and avg. 3-yr charter rate. In addition, the market will seemingly go up after two years. Therefore, ship owners should hope to sign short-term contract through using lower daily spot hire rate rather than locking low daily high rate for a long period.

"The Open Boat," by Stephen Crane, has been critiqued and deconstructed by many thinkers. One such critique is "The Dialogic Narrative of `The Open Boat'." This critique on Stephen Crane's "The Open Boat," was written by two authors: Sura P. Rath and Mary Neff Shaw. The authors focused on a five main points in the duration of this Critique. First Mikail Baktin's theory of the "Five basic types of discourses," are discussed and used in the deconstruction of "The Open Boat." The critique then delves into the use of first-person actor-character to third person spectator-narrator. Shaw and Rath then annotate the tonal quality of "The Open Boat." Fourthly the critique characterizes and analyzes the key figures of the Novel. Lastly

Like it was yesterday I remember my first vacation on a cruise. My Dad and I went on a three- day long cruise to The Bahamas. I had never been on a cruise, so it was a new experience for me. We needed to be in Tampa for our departure, so we drove the two hours from Orlando, Florida to Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My Dad and I used this time to talk, make plans for the trip and think about our upcoming adventures on the cruise.
It was the summer of 1977, and my father decided to pack the station wagon and drive from Fort Worth to Tampa, Florida. Besides my parents in the vehicle, my two sisters and brother also joined us for the long journey. I was young and excited and did not realize the distance my father would be driving on this trip. We made two stops on the way down and the first one was in Mississippi at a Holiday Inn. My first time spending the night the night at a hotel occurred on this vacation, and I was excited. We had adjoining rooms with my parents, and we spent the evening in the pool and watching television all night. I was never aware of my parents’ finances but I know now, we did not have a lot of money. From Mississippi, we stopped again in Tallahassee, Florida and we swam in the ocean during the afternoon and hit the hotel pool in the
