The first day is always the hardest. You go from being the leaders of the school, to the babies of the school.
It was the first day and everybody was full of both excitement and fear. I looked around, I saw a bunch of crowded newbies all around me, anxiously awaiting the bell, at the start the only person I could recognise was Chiara. Chiara is one of my best friends; we went through primary school together.
Gradually more and more people showed up, until I could barely move. A few of them I recognised from my old primary. I saw Iris and quickly rushed over to join her, she was with Vanessa, one of her friends from out of school. I saw that they were deep in conversation and I didn’t want to interrupt them, so I went over to Tlake

The first day is pretty much just a taste of what the rest of the year is going to be like. It’s like a second orientation day.
We flew through Japanese and English, and before we knew it was lunch. At recess Iris ordered a lunch order (which took her like 3 hours to decide). So we went to pick it up. Then we went to sit on the bench closest to the year 7 area.
During recess and lunch I discovered you were allowed to use iPods
My first day of the second grade, I knew no one except the teacher and my younger brother. Kindergarten and first grade had been easy enough, but I was scared of the upcoming year. The only thing I knew about being the new kid was that it hadn’t panned out too great for Addie from the American Girl books. Mrs. Henson’s class was fairly quiet throughout the day, for most kids were nervous or tired. We neared the end of the day and I was ecstatic over the fact that hadn’t made a complete fool of myself. I hadn’t met anyone yet, but I thought that that would be a challenge for another day. Unfortunately, that’s not what Mrs. Henson had in mind. She sent us all out to recess with a grin plastered on her face and with me practically kicking
The first day of high school was horrible as expected. Students poured into the classroom knowing who to sit by since they had gone to middle
The best thing that happened in school for the first day was when I realized I had at least one friend in every class I had. Even if I don’t end up sitting next to a friend in class, it was nice to know that I’d have someone to rely on for help. Another great thing that makes the year better is that in most of the classes, I’ve gotten to sit with friends.
The first day of school is a book just opened with the story yet to unfold. My story starts in a new unfamiliar place. It was intimidating to walk into the halls of Larned High School. Coming from a school of 80 students to a school of over 300 students was a massive change.
The first day of school: a day where I would begin an eleven-year journey full of academics
The sun rising and birds chirping, a fresh a breath air consumed my lungs. It was the start of my junior year at Coral Park Sr. High, and I was ready to enjoy my year with old friends and maybe have a girlfriend. As I pass through classmate and teachers outside the classroom; going up the main stairs in the back of the school entrance, I was interrupted by a wonderful fruity smell. As I turned to see what aroma lured me, suddenly I bumped my head and fell off the stairs. Once I realize what happen, I quickly ran up to the girl and held her hand; her hair was covering her face at that time so I didn’t pay so much attention. Ring! Ring! Ring! The bell rung and I was late. I apologize to her and told her that I would invite
Learning as well as teaching has taken 180 turnabout. As educators we are competing with technology and dysfunctional home-lifes. However, one thing that never changes is fear of the unknown or change. The first day of school is P for everyone involved. Providing learner-centered “getting to you” activities allows students opportunities to not only get to know one another, but it also enables them to make personal connections.
The first day of being a junior. This oughta be one hell of a trip. She can already sense the dread emanating from everyone inside the building, and she sighs.
The first day of school was full of mostly nerves and confusion, not knowing exactly what to expect and not even sure where more than half of your classes are located. There is a tad excitement throughout the day of realizing after all those years in school, you have finally made it into a good university. The atmosphere is different lots of adults walking around like they know what they’re doing and where they’re going. Though many students like myself weren’t even 18 yet, we were able to receive an early taste of what it is like to be treated as an adult.
By the end of the day I was familiar with the school already. I had met tons of new friends and teacher’s .The first day of school was nothing like I dreamed it would be. In the dream the school was a complete nightmare which made me scared to come. Feeling that no one would talk to me or I would be lost trying to get to get to every class in time. The day was totally different from that. I learned a lot from that
We all have different kinds of the first day of school experiences, but for every student, I feel that stepping into the first day of school as a freshman would mark as the most memorable day in all high school years. Before the first day of school, I quickly thought that my freshman year would turn into the toughest and saddest year in my experience. My best friend would not attend the same high school with me, which already gives me many conclusions of how sad and hard of a school year it would result. However, maybe things will turn out differently than we think if we just change something about our way of living it.
different doors to enter the school. Each here to move on with their life’s. My first day of school
It will start of like this; I was on my first day of PreK in Highland School (District 170) and I was 3 going into 4 years old. I started off a lot nervous thinking “who will I meet?”, “will they like me?”, and “am I coming back home?” They did like me though and it was a fun first day there. It was also when I met Brayan Camargo, Stephane Duran-Martinez,
Charlie, Thomas and I walked to school and when we got there we went inside and went to our classrooms.
The first day of school will always stir up some type of emotion in an individual. Whether you feel elated, fearful, unhappy, or even pure confusion over the fact that your three month vacation has now come to an end in what felt like a time span of only a couple weeks. All I know is the feeling I felt on the very first day of high school was nervousness, it wasn't the first time I had felt this way. I've experienced this feeling countless times before, although there was this one time where it was on a completely different spectrum.
