It is my conviction that the meaning of life does not dwell in the length of time that one can live or the material abundance that one can acquire, but in the richness and the wonderfulness of life itself. With the increase of my age, many things in my life have changed. But one thing remains constant, that is, I will consistently insist on doing what I like to do and hope that my endeavors can be valuable to the life of others. I see this as the only way whereby I can realize the value of my life.
My undergraduate study focused on economics and I achieved remarkable scholastic performance in this field. My GPA is 3.44 (my GRE score is 2020 and TOEFL---- ). For four consecutive years of my undergraduate study, I received scholarships for my distinguished academic performance. Due to my equally prominent performance in extracurricular activities I was conferred on the Outstanding Student in Campus Activities. However, honestly speaking, my real interest lies not in economics, but in education. Ever since I was a primary school student, I had cherished a strong desire for a teaching career exemplified by my teachers. In the actual teaching career that I embarked on upon my graduating from university, I have become increasingly aware that the existing educational conditions in China are far from satisfactory. The backward teaching methodology and the prevailing pedagogical ideology have rendered Chinese education out of place with the modern international development in
My educational goals were to get a certificate in Health Information Technology as a certified coder. But I change my mind and decided to get my associates degree because it provides me with more opportunities in the field. I can choose many different careers such as health information analyst, insurance claims analyst, records technician specialist, etc. With this degree I can improve my family financial situation and be an example to my children that if you put your mind to it, you can achieve anything.
For my educational plans, I have a clear understanding and vision of where I want to go and who I have the desire to be. For now, I would like to graduate with my Associates in Arts degree in Nursing from Indian River State College. I believe Indian River State is an excellent place to begin my journey and recieve my education in order to better prepair myself for what is yet to come. After I recieve my Associates degree from Indian River, I plan to transfer to the University of South Florida in order to extend my education and potentially recieve my Bachelors and Masters of Science degree in Nursing.
An experience in a biomedical research will help me to succeed in my long-term educational goals. My long-term goal is to attend a MD-PHD program at a Medical School. As a scientist, I would like to study the genetics of disease causing organisms and human genetics. Currently, I am studying Biochemistry at the University of Maryland, which I think will equip me with a knowledge of human biochemistry. However, since undergraduate schools mainly focus on theoretical not the practical application of most subjects, I need to participate in a hands on research project over the summer because It will give me an opportunity to apply my knowledge in a laboratory. This is when the summer research program at the University of Maryland school of medicine
Going to college has been a dream of mine growing up. I am the first ever in my family to go to college but figuring out how to pay for it has been a challenge. I desire to achieve my academic and career goals and this scholarship can help me succeed in my journey.
My academic goal is to graduate Argosy University with a bachelors degree in Forensic Psychology in three years time. Forensic Psychology is the study of the criminal mind, in a nutshell. The main motivation to achieve this goal would be intrinsic. I love asking questions and knowing the answers as to why people do what they do, and in a criminals case, what led them to committing the crime. This goal, however, may have some extrinsic motivation as well. Being knowledgeable about certain behaviors that criminals poses may help solve or even prevent a crime. In addition, having a degree will help open different paths in life, ones that may present me with greater job opportunities. My attitude toward the learning process will help my achievement of each goal because I am eager, determined and motivated. My greatest desire is to succeed in life, and obtaining an education is one thing I know will help me. I perhaps will need to make some adjustments along my journey. I do not know yet if I will find another educational path that intrigues me the most. For now, I do not feel that any adjustments need to be made.
My short term goals in education are to maintain my high cumulative GPA and complete all of my general education classes, so I can graduate from community college with honors, in spring of 2016. Career wise, I want to complete my low division classes and prerequisites to be able to transfer to a university in the next year, where I can pursue my bachelor's degree in computer engineering. My short term goals for service/volunteerism is to continue participating in school clubs at Mesa college where I participate in the majority of their service events. I also want to continue my leadership position as President in Phi Theta Kappa and serve the Honors club and any other school club with anything I am capable of.
My educational and career goals consist of waking up every morning with a smile on my face knowing I am in the position I’ve always desired. I want my career to be something I enjoy doing rather than something I am forced to do because of my financial situation. I want to improve myself through higher education and be able to display my degrees to inspire others to pursue a career. I want to graduate from college with a master’s degree in nursing or social work. Throughout my life, my mother has always been my number one supporter. My mother has always advised me to follow my dreams and not allow anyone to criticize my career. Indeed, I saw my parents struggle and tolerate discrimination to provide for my sister and I for many years. I don’t
After receiving my Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education, I plan to further my education through UNC Charlotte’s M.Ed. in Special Education, Major in Academically or Intellectually Gifted program. I then aspire to teach in CMS schools, serving the needs of Academically or Intellectually Gifted children specifically. My career goals in the field of education are to start out teaching my own class and gaining invaluable experience in the classroom. After a numbers of years working with a large group of my own students, I strive to move to a position in which I am part of a program targeted specifically at meeting the academic needs of AIG students.
Early in my educational career I realized that I want to help people, not necessarily as a medical doctor or nurse but in a field that is unfortunately still undermined— psychology. As an adolescent, I struggled with my own mental illness. I felt completely isolated for years until I finally sought out help and began taking steps to become a better version of myself. My aspirations are to help individuals reach their full potential despite debilitating mental illnesses and help provide suicide prevention within my community. I graduated from high school with my AA degree from Eastern Florida State College and now I am working towards my B.S in psychology with a minor in cognitive sciences. There are two routes I see myself doing afterwards,
My immediate education goal is to graduate with at least a 3.75 GPA while maintaining some, if not most of my current campus activities. I used to think that I had to get 100% on every single assignment just to be good enough, and that had slowed me down quite a bit. Since I realized that a 90%, in most cases, is just the same as a 100%, I have been able to save a lot of time working on my school work, yet still get outstanding results. I have been continuously working on my problem solving as well as time management skills, to make sure that I will not waste both my and the company time in the future. I have also been taking many safety courses provided through SAChE (Safety and Chemical Engineering Education) to set myself apart from others.
My future educational goals are to attend and graduate from Florida A & M University and go on to attend dental school to become an Orthodontist. I plan on majoring in Biology Pre-Dental and hope to partake in many internship programs to gain more experience in the dental field, as well as strengthen my application for dental school. At the high school I attend, I finished the Medical Assisting program and I am currently a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant. Being in that program opened my eyes up to not just the reality of working in the medical field, but also all other fields in healthcare that work cohesively with one another. I have a passion for working with people, enjoy patient interaction, and have discovered that I have an honest
I believe that supportive and effective teachers create hardworking and knowledgeable students who eventually grow up to become active and responsible citizens. As I continue and eventually finish my education, I plan to have a career as an ardent teacher who will change the world one child at a time. I consider myself to be a tenacious and high-achieving student in all of my classes at Michigan State University, and am fortunate to have been placed on the Dean’s List every semester that I have been enrolled in college. In regards to my additional major in Chinese, my academic achievement led me to obtain the Academic Excellence Award from the Office of Study Abroad to use on my summer Chinese language study abroad program in Chengdu, China. In addition to academics, I also involve myself in various extracurricular programs that prepare me to be a pre-service teacher. I am currently a member of the MSU chapter of the Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education and work as a Teacher’s Aide at a daycare called the Spartan Child Development
For as long as I can remember, my parents have told me that I need to work hard and get good grades so that one day, I may receive enough scholarships to attend college. Coming from a low-income household, college wasn’t an expectation but rather a dream; one that could only be achieved through a dedication to my academics. Fortunately, I love to be challenged and most of my decision to attend college derived from a personal desire to learn.
What are my educational goals? Well, being a seventeen year old African American female, I know that there will be many opportunities that will soon come my way. Even though it is going to be hard; I know my hard work and dedication that I put forth everyday my dreams will come true. My main two educational goals would to apply to all the Ivy League colleges, and hopefully get accepted. I just want to prove to others that if you put in the work you need to, you definitely will be awarded in the end. Then when I get out of college pursuit my dream of being a forensic scientist. I already know that I want to major at either being a Forensic Pathologists, or Criminalistics. This started every since I started watching CSI shows. I know that this
My education goals, first of all, is to attend the University of Texas at San Antonio. Since I will be the first generation college student in my family, I’ll be the first to experience a college life. In the first 4 years in the University of Texas at San Antonio, I will head straight into the Pre-Medicine programs and any other programs that will help me get into the medical field. During the university experience, I will also want to head into a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry (BS) degree. After meeting all my college credit requirements and have taken all the prerequisites for medical school, I will want to continue my journey into the Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin. I will do the 4 years in the Medical School
