Three goals that I have for myself: my first goal is to pick a major that I enjoy, my second goal is become a part of clubs, and my third goal is keep all my grades up. As I have started my journey through college goals of mine have started to form. Writing them down and setting a time to complete them will help me better my journey and accomplish what I want to accomplish. My first goal is to pick a major I enjoy. As of right now, I am undeclared. I am currently exploring and plan on exploring more options of different majors/careers that I am interested in to continue with and graduate with. This compass class has helped me narrow down more of my interests to help lead me more towards a career I will enjoy. When I first entered college, I thought I was possibly interested in going into Biomedical Sciences. Reason being was at the age of seven, I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and I was thinking I wanted to do something that involved that in my career. As my time here has moved forward though, I have been opened up to more options of majors and careers that could be a possibility for me. This goal is very important, as it will lead to what I could possibly be doing for my career. I want to take my time picking a major that I truly enjoy and lead my way into a career that I also enjoy. Multiple action steps that I will be taking include first of all doing more research on majors that I am interested in. I have some ideas of possible majors that I am thinking of
After having been in my first college year for a couple of months, I still had no idea what I was leaning towards for a major. Within these first couple of months I had learned that Biomedical Studies was not something that I was sure of, along with many other careers and majors that I learned about in the Compass class that were not for me. Tired of not knowing what I wanted to do, I sat myself down and did some researched. I came upon
Goals are what make you strive to be better and improve your life. One of my goals is to figure out where I’m going to college. I currently have a spreadsheet of all my possible options. From cost to the safety of the area everything is one that chart. It has been difficult finding a school that has my major and I can afford. Scholarships and studying for the ACT have been slowly consuming all my free time, but I know in the long run it will be worth it. Knowing my future and figuring out where I’m going to be in a couple of years is very important to me right now in my
Because I have identified several tools given to me – and that I am aware of my purpose, I can now set goals. My most immediate short-term goals as a college student include: becoming proficient at balancing my time well, soaking up the information that I am being taught, making great grades, serving my community, traveling and studying abroad, and attaining internships and scholarships.
A one goal that I have set for myself is to keep moving forward into my careers. By moving more into a career will help me achieve better financial issues, less depression, better opportunities, better choices, and a better attitude toward life. Another goal
Goals for college should be made to shape you into what you want to for the rest of your life. The goal I have for college is to go to Purdue University. To be
Over the years, since freshman year i've always had my personal goals that id set every quarter and year. It is important to set goals for yourself so you can see how far you've came and how much you've done. I have many goals, especially as a Junior. But my main goals are to graduate, get into a good college, get my degree, get a good job, and have a family. Overall, just to be successful. You can't just set goals and expect them to come by themselves, you have to work for them and be determined and that is what i plan to do.
Goals are set so people have a purpose and something they strive to succeed. They help people decide what to do in the present, in order to achieve their future goal; I know that helped me. Going to college and graduating is the first goal that comes to mind. Furthering my education is important to me, the more education I receive in the field I am going into the better off I will be. Family is the most important thing to me, so starting one of my own is a big goal of mine too.
With being the first in my family to go to college the obvious goal for me is to graduate on time and obtain a degree. However my goals are more than just graduating. My goals for college is to graduate on the Dean’s List, and becoming active in my community; My goals after college is to be able to operate several small businesses, take care of my family, give back to my community, and buy my mom a house.
My third goal, which was academically oriented, was to work harder in school. I chose this because with better grades, I have a higher chance of getting into a good college. And with a good college comes education and a good career, so getting better grades will benefit me in the long run. I plan on achieving this by not procrastinating important things and homework and by putting more effort and thought into my
First of all hello, I’m currently a high school senior planning to attend college in the fall. Goals are described as an aim or a desired result, but they're more than that, they can change a person's life. A goal gives a person hope for the future. Right now I’m going to graduate from high school and the next huge step I’ll take is go to college. Continuing my education and becoming successful in my profession. Being able to cross off my goals one by one
Out of the three goals, (Personal, educational, and professional) I chose two of the goals that I am focusing on and that is my personal and educational goals. For my personal goals, I want to create a big picture of what I plan to do in life. Then I want to break them down in order to reach my goals, then once I have them together, then I would start working on them to achieve them. For example(Specific and Measurable goals), I plan on finding a job that has great benefits and the best rate of pay, and one that does not require working on weekends(Monday-Friday only), and not working overtime.
In the world today there are so many people who want many different things. Although they know what they want, over half of them never do anything about it. Some may argue that they don't have time to do want they want to accomplish, but people always need to make time for the things that we'd like to have. Many of us have set goals that we've wanted since we were young. As we grow older they may change, but many of us don't realize that to get the things we want to accomplish, we have to always work towards getting them. Some say that we don't need to worry so much about accomplishing our goals, but if we ever want to accomplish whatever it may be, we need to constantly work towards doing things. People that are always working towards getting
Everyone has life goals that they wish to achieve. Some may be completing college while others may be starting a family and getting married. My goals are completing college with my masters degree in business, gaining a successful job as an entrepreneur, and creating a maintaining at least three successful business. These goals may come with obstacles including judgement of gender, religion and race. Chapter 10, 11, and 13’s concepts in the textbook “Society the Basics” help me overcome these judgments by pointing out life lessons and important information.
Attending college is very tough. the percent of college dropouts is increasing every year because students are not able to handle the workload or they do not have the money to pay for it. 37.9% of students that enter a 4-year college drop out and 58.3% that goes beyond that fail to make it. The goals that I set for myself while attending college is not only to make a name for myself on campus but to withstand adversities that will try to steer me to that 37% or that 58% of not finishing what I have started and motivate other to do the same.
Everyone should have personal goals that evolve around anything that needs to be accomplished. I set goals on a daily basis. One goal that I seem to have not truly focused on has been my college education. Considering all things, I decided I needed to focus on my college education. The first thing I needed to accomplish was to enroll in an institution for higher learning. Now that my enrollment is complete, I am an official student at the University enrolled in the undergraduate program for business management. As a student at the university, I now have to set personal goals so that I will be successful in my endeavors. My personal goals are to gain personal growth and development and graduate from my undergraduate program in business
