My Hero: Rachel Alice Peterson

What is a hero? That’s a question I know I’ve asked before. My hero is Eddie Jackson, why? Because when he is determined, and followed his dream. Eddie Jackson is a chef who competed in Food Network Star and won.He inspires me because he worked hard and long to win and i want to win someday too. A hero is someone who works hard, is courageous, brave and admirable. Someone who can be idolized, and to me that person is Eddie Jackson, winner of Food Network

My definition of a hero is someone who stands up for others on a regular basis. Someone who believes in themselves and in others. One woman I think that fits this description is Rosa Parks.

There are many heroes in the world today extending from professional athletes to parents. A hero isn’t necessarily someone who can fly or do supernatural things. A Hero is defined as “someone who does the right thing at the right time because it is the right thing to do. Regardless of who is watching.” Being a hero means standing up for what one believes in and not letting other people’s opinions

Joseph Campbell, An American mythologist once said, “A Hero is someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself.” When a hero him or herself they are giving anyone something that is better than him. In any point in time, anyone can just say “no” or give up and not try but, heros will keep going. Instead of a hero making sure that the person has it perfect, he/she knows that anything they do is perfect enough. Heroes are all about putting themselves first and going through obstacles, but they cannot always make everyone happy and satisfied.

My sister has enough room in heart for everyone she comes in contact with , there is no one she would turn away. What caused me to make her my Michigan hero is she's given me so much love.

What is a hero to you? Is it a firefighter, police officer,or soldier ? A hero is person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities. “No matter who you are, no matter where you come from, you are beautiful.” - Michelle Obama. “Turn motivation into dedication.” - Allyson Felix. Don’t sit down and wait for the opportunities to come. Get up and make them.”- Madam CJ Walker. These women are heroes because they’re inspiring, empowering, and strong women.

In times of need, there’s always a divide. Those who choose to help others at any cost and those who choose to ignore others’ strife. Acts of heroes and acts of bystanders occur each day. A hero is someone who thinks positively in dire situations and connects with others through empathy during times of trouble.

Throughout our whole lives people have seen heroes as someone who puts themselves before others. However, that’s not my definition of a hero. A hero to me is necessary in modern society because we need someone who demonstrates courage, never giving up, and making a difference.

A hero is someone that is selfless, patient, and courageous, they always put others first without any expectation of a payback. Heroic leaders are very caring, they have a sense of concern and kindness for others. A hero will always try do the right thing even when it is hard or they may not succeed. I chose to interview my grandmother as my hero because she displays all of these characteristics.

A hero can be anyone, but my hero is like no other. She is the kindest lady in the world and will give the shirt off her back for anyone in need. Money and time have never been in abundance to my hero, but she does not care how much money someone has or how popular they are. All she cares about is the smile on someone’s face and the warmth in their heart. Those are the reasons that my grandma Deb is my hero.

For me a hero is someone who touches our lives in a personal way and does not do it for themselves.

Not everyone is lucky enough to have a sister, let alone a sister that’s their best friend. Growing up, my sister and I did almost everything together. We grew up making memories together while building forts in our backyard, driving our hot pink Barbie jeep in our cul-de-sac, and most importantly becoming best friends. Not only did we spend time together outside, we spent much time together inside learning since we were homeschooled. We got to study together and share ideas, and when we got bored we smuggled snacks to the basement and played with our dolls. As we got older and entered public school, we always made time to talk even though we went to different schools, and were in different places in our lives. Now that she’s in college and I’m finishing high school, we make sure to plan lunch dates where we share our daily highlights, tell stories from our jobs, and give each other updates on our lives. A hero is someone everybody looks for in life. Whether it’s a parent, a teacher, a spouse, or a superhero from a comic book, everyone has a hero. My hero is my mom. I know ... original right? I was thinking about who my real life account hero is, and I couldn’t stop thinking it was her. My family has been through some rough patches, and honestly the only way we get through them is with her. She is always there for our family; even when we are mad at her or annoyed with her, she is still my hero.
