It is so fascinating that we are living in a world where everybody is unique. I always wonder what it would be like if most people on earth have the same type of personality or similar to each other. I hope after reading my self-portrait you are able to know more about me, such as my personality type, intelligences, skills, interest, attitude, outlook, goals and some of my abilities. After reading “What’s My Jungian 16 Type Personality” self-assessment I discovered my personality type is INTP, which is introverted, intuitive, thinking and perceiving. As an INTP, your primary mode is focused internally, where you deal with things rationally and logically. Your secondary mode is external, where you take things in primarily via your intuition.
The dominant function of the INTJ personality type is introverted intuition. This has played a crucial role in my (albeit rather short) professional life. Ever since I was a toddler, I wanted to become a veterinarian. All of my actions were carried out primarily with this goal in mind, to the point where it was obsessive. I never considered taking any other career path.
Within the Jung Typology Test (JTT) it states that my type of personality is introverted, sensing, feeling and judging. The results indicated I am an introvert over extrovert, the score showed 56%. There was a marginal or no preference to sensing over intuition at 1% for this result. Moderate preference to feeling over thinking at 25%, and a strong preference to judging over perceiving at 78%. So this is saying that I am an introverted sensing with extroverted feeling.
According to the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), I am an ISTJ personality this means that I am an Introvert, Sensing, Thinking, and Judging person. ISTJ are very faithful, loyal and dependable. We are also reserved people who are interested in a secure and quiet life. ISTJ’s place importance in being honesty and can be trusted to do the right thing for their families and friends. There are some weaknesses to being an ISTJ personality we are stubborn, insensitive, and judgmental. This test is amazing it really nailed my personality.
My Myers-Briggs Personality Test type is ESTJ (Extroverted iNtuative Thinking Judging). I am more of an extrovert rather than introvert. I believe more in logical sense rather than going for the intuition. I focus more on thinking rather than giving importance to feeling on something. Furthermore, I analyze facts and rely on judgment rather than perceiving something directly. These are some of the many ways I believe; ENTJ’s can be an efficient and effective leader and manager. I can identify more with the external environment. I am a very responsible person that has the ability to handle most tasks and problem solving critically and efficiently.
To be honest I do not think I have ever taken a question are that truly said who I really am. As I was taking the Jung Typology personality assessment and the DISC, I thought why I am being asked this. After I got the results and compared both, they each show my strong and weak areas. In the DISC assessment, I learned that my highest score is in decisive. This score was not a shocker I am very demanding, forceful and determined. Going through life like this has gotten me many answers and questions that were never thought of. However, the down side to this is being forceful is hard to control. In interactive, I scored a forty-six; I am not very communal I do like to be by myself. This score just was elevated for me, right now I have to be cultural at this point in my life for the things that are going on.
Before taking the Myers-Briggs Interactive Test, I didn’t really know what to expect or what kind of questions I would be answering in order to determine what my personality type would be. Afterwards however, I wasn’t too surprised with my results of the test. Out of the sixteen different personality types, I got the INFJ personality type which simply means dominant introverted intuition. All of those letters were pretty self-explanatory and accurate according to how my temperament and personality are. The statistical conclusion was 67% introvert (I), 38% intuitive (N), 50% feeling (F), and 56% judging (J). Therefore I had a distinctive preference of introversion over extraversion, a moderate preference of intuition over sensing, a
An introverted intuitive thinker otherwise known as an INTP personality type is who I am.
Would you like to have sameness in your life. We would not want sameness in our life we would get bored of the same thing everyday and no one would have a personality and a different feature.
The My Plan (2017) program is designed to help individuals in planning for their future career. In doing so, the My Plan (2017) dissects your personality type, work values, personal interest, and skillful attributes. The My Plan (2017) results concluded my personality type is INFJ. “The INFJ psychological type is the Introverted Intuition with Extraverted Feeling type.” (Isabel Briggs Myers, 1998, CPP Inc.) The INFJ is the rarest of the 16 personality types in the United States. Making up only one to three percent of the United States population. (The Myers & Briggs Foundation - How Frequent Is My Type.) “An MBTI test -assessed INFJ type uses this innate ability to comprehend the inner workings of others and applies them to their occupation.”
One of the personality theories that reflect me is Carl Jungs theory also known as Psychoanalysis. Carl Jung was influenced by Sigmund Freud but also disagreed with many of Freuds views. Jung perceives two attitude types Introvert which are people who stay more to themselves and Extrovert are more outgoing and receive stimulation from their environment. My attitude is more of an Extrovert I love to go outside, meeting new people, and adventuring off. Sometimes I have my days where I want to stay to myself but, for the most part I am an outgoing person. Jung describes three Archetypes which are Persona archetype, Shadow archetype, and Self archetype. The most dominant archetype for me would be Persona archetype, public face or role presented
Inevitably, I have learned many personal skills and people skills while growing up. Although I have always been aware of my various personal skills, I have never actually taken any assessments to gauge my personality, interests, and values before taking this class. After taking this class, I have learned a lot about myself and the various career paths available to me. From the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator test, I scored as an INTP personality type. As this personality type, it states that I am a logical person who is quiet, contained and flexible. Moreover, it states that I am skeptical, sometimes critical, and always analytical. Although I do agree with some of the information it states, I feel that I identify more with the ENTP personality type.
As humans I think that we can find comfort in the fact that we are always trying to understand who we are. We look to our ethic, racial and cultural background for guidance in determining what makes us unique. We analyze our personality and our interests as it changes and our beliefs that mold us into the person that we believe we are meant to become. We try to create our own sense of uniqueness, yet try to stay inclusive with those we share common space with. Overall, I find that we are more the same then different, and those that we are mostly around, probable share a common interest, if not common personality traits.
After taking the Jung Typology Test, I found validation concerning the ways I perceive myself, and my husband also recognized the close match. My personality profile per the Jung Typology Test revealed my category as an INJF (introvert, intuitive, judging feeling), with the highest percentage being 56% at ‘judging’ and the lowest referring to ‘feeling’ at 6%. The score for my ‘introversion’ shows at 50% and ‘intuitiveness’ at 31%, leaving me certain about the accurateness of the results. Overall, the outcome describes definitive traits I have, with little if anything I would honestly disagree with, and I can see not only strengths, but also weaknesses for such a personality type. Personality profiling has its advantages, with the understanding that it is not meant to be a mold that one is to fit into perfectly, and as a Christian one is still to rely on God’s Word to comprehend the purpose of diversity among humanity.
