In 1879, Thomas Edison invented the first incandescent light bulb in a competitive community. The invention of the electrical light bulb was built on commutative work done by previous scientists and researchers. Edison was invited to William Wallace workshop to examine the Wallace’s prototype. Edison thought that the prototype has something wrong, “I believe that I can beat you making the electrical light. I do not think that you are working in the right direction” Edison told Wallace [1]. Therefore, he decided to do make his own electrical light and there race was started. After a week of his visit to Wallace workshop, Edison was already invented the first light bulb. The success that was achieved by Edison led to a big success for his company,
Thomas Edison was one of the greatest inventors of all time. He changed the lives of everyone around him and helped shape our world today. In this paper you are going to read about his life and how he changed the world.
It was Thomas Edison who was also responsible for the invention of Motion pictures . Thomas created equipment that would record and playback images so that they could be watched later on.

I have had many accomplishments and times of leadership. Some leadership roles I have participated in are: being Deacons Quorum President, Senior Patrol Leader, Band, Cross Country, “Teacher’s PET” in 5th grade, and Basketball. Some achievements I’ve accomplished are: being #1 on the reading hall of fame in 5th grade, had 4 Band concerts, gone to Scout Camp and helped with eagle projects, been to 7 Cross Country meets, and been on 3 Basketball teams.
Through my leadership I have convinced many people to believe in themselves to try something new. One of my favorite moments from high school was when I convinced a freshman FFA member to try public speaking.
Merriam-Webster defines legacy as “something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past” and a leader as “something that guides or directs”. When put together, a legacy leader is someone that has had a significant impact or influence on others through their leadership. Over the duration of my military career I have had many different types of leaders in all shapes and sizes. The leader that has had the most influence in my career as a professional and leader is Chief Warrant Officer 3 (Retired) Marc Brydges.
When the first modern light bulb that ran on electricity was created by Thomas Edison who had the invention to be patented in his name on January 27, 1800(Thomas Edison's Patent Application for the Light Bulb (1880) para. 1), people finally had a way to light their homes
George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Martin L King Jr., just to name a few, all have one important thing in common, Leadership. Leadership is defined as ‘individuals who are the leaders in an organization, regarded collectively and the activity of leading a group of people or an organization or the ability to do this.’ As I think back on my past, I wonder “Have I demonstrated any leadership abilities?” Leadership takes on a big role in everyone’s life, from school to sports to raising a family or running a business. It comes in a variety of shapes and sizes. Of course, I have not accomplished an impeccable act of leadership like the famous leaders mentioned; however, I believe I have put forth an effort.
Edison made the first public demonstration of his incandescent light bulb on December 31, 1879, in Menlo Park. Note that Thomas Edison was not the inventor of the electric light bulb, but he did produce the first commercial grade bulb. This was the time when he said “We will make electricity so cheap that only the rich will burn candles." This invention changed the living standards of everyone in the world. Instead
In the year 1875 a man by the name John Clipson almost invented the lightbulb.
Menlo Park, NJ, in 1877 Thomas Edison thought up a way to make light without gas. Thomas Edison thought up what he called the light bulb. He also thought, “That it would be cleaner than gas.”(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_eU_U1Q9BE8) So he decided to try to making the light bulb.
Thomas Edison, developed the world’s first practical light bulb in the late 1870s, Edison relied heavily on tedious experimentation for most of his discoveries, a commitment which some historians attribute partially to his lack of formal education. Then began building a system for producing and distributing electricity, so businesses and homes could use his new invention. He opened his first power plant, in New York City, in 1882. So, developed direct current -- current that runs continuously in a single direction, like in a battery or a fuel cell. During the early years of electricity, direct current (shorthanded as DC) was the standard in the U.S. Mahen Theatre in Brno (in what is now the Czech Republic), opened in 1882, and was the first public building in the world to use Edison's electric lamps.
There were other inventors at the time who were also developing light bulbs, but it was Thomas Edison, who got it to the finish line. His name is forever etched in
