Sports are a substainsal part of my life. As a person, I am very competitive and I love watching sports almost as much as I love playing them. My two main athletic passions are softball and baton twirling. I’ve been playing softball since I was four, and nothing has been able to tear me from the field ever since. I love the fast pace of the game, every at-bat is exhilarating, and I always am hoping the ball will come to me on defense. I have met many of my best friends through softball, and I love the opportunity to be able to work and play a team sport with amazing people and friends. Along with softball, I also enjoy basketball and football. My basketball career was brief (due to my shortness), but I follow the NBA and I’m a Warriors and Celtics fan. I have always kind of wished I could play football, but I enjoy watching the Packers and Broncos, and follow college football-go Hawks! My life is immesly influenced by sports, and I can credit sports for an abundance of memories and years of fun.
My other, more uncommon sport I compete in is baton twirling. Twirling is a rare and complex sport that not many compete in, and for that reason, I am known to some as “that twirler girl”. Baton is like smashing different types of dance, gymnastics, and aerobics into one, then adding one or a few, silver sticks. It’s an incredibly physically-demanding activity that requires a great deal of practice, perseverance, and patience. I started twirling at age three, so this is is
By sports I mean like playing a sport in a team or just really enjoying sports. I started playing soccer since I was 7 now i'm 15 and still play soccer. Soccer is not just my passion it's mostly everyone's passion. I feel like soccer is my Cultural identity because It something that I have been doing for a very long time and feel that it belongs in my culture. That's one of the reasons why i feel like that is
I posses a fondness for the sports basketball and track. I love how the adrenaline just pumps into my veins with a rush I can’t quite explain. It is this passion for sports that I also share with my passion for the medical field. Most sports need practice
My favorite sport is football. I’m quite good at it if I do say so myself. Football is a sport that is very physical and I can really get hurt. When I play football I feel like my life’s in danger because there’s always a 50-50 chance I’ll never be the same again. I feel like god put me on this earth to play football because I’m so talented. I know this is my only way out of my “drought season”.
I have always played sports. Softball, soccer, and swimming before I started kindergarten, later, basketball and volleyball. My passion is and always has been softball. I love competing and being able to make friendships and memories with my teammates that will last a lifetime.
One thing I have a strong passion for in life is sports. My favorite one was volleyball. It taught me a lot about life and myself. My sophomore year I made varsity, but was upset when I sat the bench more than I played. However, I still pushed myself every practice and never gave up hope. This payed off because the next season I was a starter and a team captain. Being a student athlete has been an incremental part of who I have become in the future. I did not realize it at the time, but my participation in sports has affected my life in more ways than I thought. Consequently, sports have had a major influence on the career path I have chosen, and have also been a significant part of bringing my family together.
Sports have been a huge part of my life ever since I was about five years old. It has impacted my life so much. The biggest challenge that I faced was with my injuries during basketball and soccer season. I recently had to quit soccer and basketball, which was difficult for me.
I am thankful for my parents letting me play sports. Sports have always been a big factor of my life.I like all kinds of sports like football, basketball, track, soccer. Even non american sports like rugby, or even australian football. I can honestly say that out of every sport in existence, my favorite of all sports is baseball.
I have always loved sports ever since I was a little kid. Some of my earliest memories are of playing soccer with my friends on a wet, cold spring day or hitting a ball off of a tee and feeling like it went a mile, when in reality it only went about fifty feet. Even to this day I still can never get enough of sports. I get about four weeks off out of the entire year where I’m not technically in a sport, but I’m still always practicing and trying to get better because that’s the only way I know. I love everything about sports: the friendships, the competition, the passion, the atmosphere, the unity. Sports are one of my true loves and they consume my life. It is this strong desire that I have for sports that has driven me to want to pursue a
Growing up in a family that always played softball led me into the game that shaped my life. I have always had a gift for playing, and it came easy to me. Years of practice, and money spent on travel ball teams steered me into a life filled with softball. Softball was involved with my life all through my childhood and into high school.
Most of my life has been surrounded by my favorite sport, which is Baseball. It has pretty much shaped me to be the person I am today, and it has affected me in so many ways to where I can achieve my goals outside of Baseball.
Sports is my way of challenging my body and myself. There is great joy being on a team oriented sport and a more individual sport track. Playing a mix of sports expands my skill set and keeps things interesting.
Sports have always been a major part of my life. Since the beginning, I have always been involved in some type of sport. I am the middle child of two boys, so i wasn’t exactly “girly”, I was mainly considered a “tomboy.” I tried gymnastics, but it just wasn’t my thing, I stuck to a bat and a ball. Growing up there wasn’t a time when you wouldn’t find my brothers and I, or my dad and I outside throwing pitch. We all played baseball/softball, so it was kinda our thing just to go out and play a game of wiffle ball.
Sports have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with all males, with the exclusion of one female cousin, Naydeen. Even though I am female I always played with the boys. We would go out and play football, baseball, basketball and any other sports we could think of. Baseball was always my favorite. Then, I learned about softball and fell in love. Softball is a sport everyone can try. It teaches you dedication, athleticism, and teamwork.
After waiting three weeks, I was finally cleared to play basketball again only to suffer another one. I was out after receiving an elbow to the head in a previous game giving me my first concussion. Walking onto the court at Eden Valley High School, I could feel the nerves rush through my veins. The whistle blew and the game started. I was going up to grab a pass when an opponent ran into me. Black. In those moments I was unconscious, I could only remember colliding with my opponent. I woke up in a car, my head aching as I sat up and saw bright beams of light off the street lights. The light stung my eyes and made me feel like the world was spinning a million miles per hour. “Stay awake sweetie we are almost home,” whispered my mom. Every heartbeat thumped in my head like a bass with the music to loud. I was so discombobulated and hurt I just laid there in the back seat
Sports have always been a necessary component in my life due to all the lessons they have taught me over the
