My personal statement will talk about how I will be the first sibling to attend college and how I love being in the kitchen. I love trying making new desserts and new dishes. If my mom and family love them, then they would put it on the menu of our restaurant. The restaurant name is called Limon. My grandmother had a restaurant as well and she taught my mother how to cook. Now my mom teaches me how to cook, I enjoy how my mother passes down my grandmother's dishes. I think my grandma would appreciate that my mom is doing that. I think later on in life I would want a restaurant of my own. I have so many wishes in life, but in order to make that happen, I would have to be successful in life and continue going to school. I also enjoy
Hmmm………What shall I tell you about me? You, the person who will decide my fate, my fate as to whether I would go to CU-Boulder, go live in Colorado, go snowboarding in the mountains, meet lots of interesting people, and have the most wonderful experience…I better make myself sound worthy. First off, I want you to know that I'm an unparalleled individual, whose outlook on life is of total optimism. Through out my 18 years, I've become freinds with people from all walks of life. I've learned to empathize with just about every one of them, gaining the greatest understanding in a variety of remarkable characters. One of my favorite, a homeless lady who's called Polly, tells the most incredible stories of love and the many
I am a motivated finance and management professional that is eager to acquire additional knowledge and experience. My self-determination and fortitude has made me an asset to my organization. Pursing a career as a medical doctor is an opportunity for me to mentor youth in underserved populations. As a child, I was raised in the low income, urban community of Roxbury, MA. Although not as notorious today, the neighborhood had garnered negative attention for its high crime rates. My mother emigrated from Haiti and raised me as a single parent. Due to our financial circumstance, Roxbury became our permanent residence. I have always felt there was something lacking in Roxbury in comparison to other towns I visited. My teenage years were largely spent in the suburban town of Stoneham where I attended high school. There was a literal difference in air quality and a psychology contrast in future prospects. While native students of

Ever since my childhood, I have found the topics dealing with computers and its applications highly interesting because of the unique properties they offer for almost any application we can think of. The extraordinary developments in this field, both in the hardware and in the software area, along with the rapid advances of communication technology as one of the most applied technologies in the modern world have stimulated my interest in both fields. Therefore I believe that joining the undergraduate degree on Computer, Networking and Communications Technology will help me have a systemic knowledge of the field and, thus, achieve one of the greatest dreams of my life.
For my undergraduate career I attended Elon and majored in Psychology. In summation Elon University’s vision and mission inspires students “freedom of thought and liberty of conscience” by focusing on four major commitments. The first is fostering a community of active student engagement with faculty and staff dedicated to scholarly accomplishment and proficient teaching. The second is supplying students with challenging and dynamic curriculum anchored in traditional liberal arts and sciences. Third is fitting students to become informed leaders and global citizens catered towards the concern for the common good in society. Fourth is having respect for “human differences, integrity, desire for learning, as well as work ethic and service.” Personally
Unfortunately, my family cannot afford to pay for my education,However I plan to continue applying for financial assistance online , work part time, whether it's delivering pizza, helping clean up around the gym,or doing local yard work, also maintain a good academic standards, although I haven't had the best of grades years past, slowly but surely I will get on the right track. It is my hope to receive a sports scholarship playing football and hopefully getting accepted into EIU,within time it would benefit me greatly.
I grew up in modest circumstances in a community rich with diversity. My father, a lifelong bus driver, is the person for whom I credit for my early obsession with public transportation. He and my mother earned their GEDs late in life, and I was the first person in my extended family to graduate from college.
My results after taking the o*net interest profile test I have found that my results lead to artistic, social and enterprising as my highest ones. When I read all three of them I mostly agree with the artistic and social portions. I've always had a big passion for art, when it comes to making something boring too great i find alot of intrest. When I think about doing anything art related I think about doing it as a side job, I don't think I would like it much as an everyday thing.
My painfully shy personality has always tended to be a burden. It has held me back from completing the simplest of tasks such as speaking out in class, sharing my own thoughts and it has even held me back from getting what I want. The reason for this was that I believed it was simpler to just say “I don't know” than to be scrutinized or judged for my beliefs. Consistently being held back by my modest character restrained me from having my own voice and that is something that took a while for me to realize.
I inhaled. With a deep breath, I took in the distinct smell of antiquated clothes that every thrift store seemed to embody. All around me were rows of bins full of second-hand donations that were waiting for a new home. Once a week, I made a pit stop after school to my local Goodwill outlet to find pieces that I could recreate and add my own personal touch to. The outdated mom jeans can be distressed high-waisted shorts with studs on the back. The over-sized floral dress can be a crop top and a skirt.
After discussing the Computer Science and Computer and Information Systems programs with Margaret Yau and Denise Allen at Crafton Hills College, I’m interested in being part of your Adjunct Instructor Pool for the upcoming academic year, August 2018 to June 2019, and hope you will accept my application for consideration.
I am a Vietnamese Catholic, born and raised in Oklahoma, the third child of six, and a person who enjoys adventures and good laughs. I embrace my heritage and culture and take interest in learning about the customs of other ethnic groups. As a student, I have always regarded education as a top priority in my life, and I plan on graduating high school as the salutatorian of my class of approximately 500 students. My hobbies and interests outside the classroom include Student Council, eating, ping pong, lion dancing (a Vietnamese tradition), charity work, fitness, spending quality time with family and friends, sports, and piano. Music is one of my main passions, for I have been playing the piano since the first grade. I can learn songs either
In our lives, we have to make important choices, and sometimes our choices determine our happiness or sadness. As a Filipino, our families tell us to do well in school and to not make bad choices because they want us to be successful and to have ethical morals. Growing up as a Catholic, I was taught to be obedient and respectful to my family which has shaped who I am today. Yet, I too made some mistakes, and I learned from the consequences. From my failures, I learned to not belittle myself, but to grow.
My personal mission statement is as follows: To be a positive and influential person in society while still being myself at all times.
