My Responsibility To America

It is seen throughout America’s history, where people have fought for their rights, and have made it their responsibility to make sure they are guaranteed their natural rights. One right in particular, that both women and African Americans struggled to fight for, was the the right to vote. This has become a huge part of what it means to be an American citizen. It helps to empower the people aside from the government, giving them the opportunity to choose who they want as their representatives that make the laws they abide

Voting is very important because everybody has the right to vote, and help their country become greater. Many people today can't vote due to accessibility issues, that is why our city should use electronic voting machines.

I was taught to resent America. I was raised as a child of an immigrant rather than a child of an American— my mother quick to make this distinction, after coming to the United States with the “American dream” fresh in mind, only to be faced with the harsh realities of a country that did not accept those who were different, that did not uphold its sense of liberty for those who did not consider themselves American. I was raised under the notion that I did not owe America, a country that had consistently failed those who did not conform to their expectations, anything.

Our single vote may not seem like it effects the election much but the goal is to share your views and assist people to feel good about the person we have to run our country. Every kid grew up to become something awesome like a firefighter, police officer, and most of all the President of the United States of America, but not everybody dreamed about voting for the next president. As you grow up you get to see your parents voting then you think to yourself “I want to be just like them” and you cannot wait to vote and be a grown up. Voting can also provide you with more of a political view to become more involved with the world around you.

The reason why it is important to vote is you can speak your freedom and thought of your own mind. It is an opportunity to influence the government. Also to see what the new president has in mind for the United States of America. For an idea you want to state your own opinion to be specific , you want to be that person, and different president’s has ideas .

Americans who are at least eighteen years old are granted the right to vote. Voting is the foundation in which most Americans value as having right. To many voting is a big deal especially in a democracy Country, most will say it’s our constitutional right. Within any democracy

In this essay i will be talking about why it is important to vote in an election, the first reason it would be important to vote in an election is if it is a close race and you want the person you like to be be elected you can vote for them to help them gain the lead. Another reason it is important to vote is because some of the nominees that are running may not be the best choice for america so you can vote to get the better person to gain more votes and possibly be the next president. The third reason it would be a good idea to vote is if there is someone running for president that may have policies that you do not agree with so you can vote for the person that has the most policies that you agree with.

I think voting is essential to us as citizens of the United States. It gives everyone an equal opportunity to have a voice in their government. Well at least 18 years of age of course. A voter carefully makes an educated vote based on the issues that they think are most important to them and choose one of the running candidates who also care about these problems as well. Every single vote counts, if the election is very close it could be that one vote that is a deciding factor that determines the winner of this upcoming election. This is my first year voting and I’m very eager but at the moment still indecisive. This upcoming election representing on the republican side is Donald Trump and on the democratic side is Hillary Clinton. Setting

As a United States citizen it is important to vote is because as Americans we have the responsibility to vote. Another reason is because every time you vote you are helping others. The last reason is voting can change communities, make a difference in your state, and country. A person vote makes sure there is a quality among all people within the United States a voter.

Although I believe that the voting system has its flaws, I still consider voting as a very important privilege and a responsibility that citizens of every democratic society should embrace. It is one of the ways people could influence a change in the country through electing the leaders who share similar interests and views with them. Also, voting helps people express their stand on certain divisive issues, not just on electing new officials but also the laws that are tackled in their own states.

Many believe that their vote will not have a great effect to the poll, but everybody’s vote counts. Voting is one of the citizens’ responsibilities, because whoever is elected to take leadership of the country could have a huge effect to everyone’s lives from schools to health care. An example of this is the election of Donald Trump. Ever since he was elected the president of the United States, many people, mostly minority groups have been scared of facing discrimination and getting their rights taken away.

“I... solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. So help me God.” That is the oath soldiers who fight for our country pledge to; To serve and to protect, that is my responsibility to America.

Because our direction depends on voting, it is important to do so. Voting allows the citizens of America to make their voices heard. In 1776, we declared our independence from Great Britain. Our founding fathers decided to have a government that allowed us to choose. They died for us so that we could vote, which allowed us to have the freedom

Upon reaching the age of 18, as American citizens, each of us are given the opportunity to vote. When asked why I think voting is important, I would have to say because it is a right that my ancestors worked hard to grant me. Voting will give me a chance to make well-informed decisions regarding who will represent me as a government leader, as a voter I can support the democracy our founding-fathers fought for, and if we don’t exercise our right to vote, we could risk losing this opportunity.

For instance, voting is what our nation counts on for the future, it’s the utmost important duty a citizen has. When you vote, you have a voice of the people or effects chosen for the nation, county, or city you reside in. Voting is not required yet it is highly encouraged among the citizens. For government to be formed and succeed, they must have the backing of the people. If citizens choose not to vote, they give up the right to have a voice
