My Writing Habits

Well... This is supposed to be a story about myself of my development as a reader and writer. I’m not quite sure how to start an essay like this, so im just just gonna go for it. when i was a younger man around the age of 5 my mother and grandmother (nana) taught me to remember letters and words and what i would call my first “literacy” teachers. Now when i hear the word “literacy” i do not think of the typical reading and writing taught in schools though. i was never properly told the definition of the word i sorta made mine own. For example I see a well story based movie literacy, because of thought and writing to put into such films, and the amount of emotion that can be portrayed. I havent really been taught a style to read or write, only when i write certainforms such as subjective (no opinion, persuasive, informative and entertainment. I dont write in my spare time. I havent neccesarily found a purpose to again i guess. i read more often for sure. I read about 3 times a week for 30 minutes, if i dont have something planned. My writing habits make me see myself as not much of a writer,but with my reading i consider myself a casual reader. My writing habits are not the best. I tend to put things off. which i know seems bad but its a habait im kicking off, and bad habiats fall hard. The event i think shaped me most as a reader was most likely when my parents split. I was young so i dont quite remeber twhat the arguement was but the only thing i had to somewhat drown out the yelling was books. my mom and dad had been leading up to this and eventually my dad left. i didnt really know how to cope so i just started reading. And finally when i wrote i mainly wrote for others. my audiences main expactations was to be entertained, and i believe i mostly met thos requirments.
