“Love is irrelevant to my cause,” she returns and elaborates. “The one that I marry, the one that’ll sit beside me, must never be seen as my equal. He must be willing to stand in my shadow, and allow me to lead.” “You do not want a husband, you want a puppet,” he snaps. “A marriage deride out of obligation to further your standing.” Kathrynne exchanges glance with those that are dancing around them, discreetly eavesdropping on their entire argument. She looks back to Reinhold, upset that he has made her appear weak in front of those that have the power to dethrone her. “Reinhold…like you mention, we come from different stations in life. And we both need to except that we want different things when it comes to marriage,” she concludes. “I’m sorry, but this can never be.” She storms off, pushing through those in her path. Reinhold thought to follow, but Kathrynne was half way across the ballroom when the horns gave a celebratory ring, signaling the start of the next song. He lingers, crush by the weight of her words. Silently praying, this is not how their story ends. At the same time, Princess Kathrynne looks around to those that are standing near her, making sure no one noticed as she wipes her wet …show more content…

The narrative written by Judith Ortiz Cofer discusses some of the many experiences she has encountered throughout her life dealing with stereotypes and common misconceptions of Latin American women. To further engage her audience in the story, she provides detailed past experiences that have stood out to her the most. In order for the readers to fully understand those past encounters, some of which are cultural and common among Latinos, Cofer explains them in careful detail. For example, Cofer explains the concept of piropos which are poems composed on the spot by men to women as a form of admiration. This helps her introduce the audience to her own experiences with piropos and how she has dealt with them throughout her life. One of the
I called the constituent, Ms Kathryn Chase, she said that is frustrated that nobody helps her to stop her siblings and her uncle stealing her mother's money and jewelry.
My first “Mud Bowl” football game I ever played in was in sixth grade the team I played for was Aviston. We were playing at Mater Dei practice fields it was raining and there was standing water on the field but we were still going to play. We were playing against the Bartelso Germantown Football team which we called Big Girl Football because of the letters they had on their uniforms BGFB and Aviston had been beating their team since before I played, so we were confident we were going to win. We did but not after a hard played game with people slipping and sliding all over the field. It was a nice day for football it was cool outside it was raining. All the conditions were perfect and every football player dreamed about playing a game in this

I messaged you on Christmas on Skype, sorry if you didn’t get it. If you meant a call, I just don't have the strength to do that right now. When I hear your voice,I just become weak. Look, our arguments and disagreements have gotten me to a state where I don’t feel sane anymore. I thought I explained that but I’ll go to deeper details. I can’t sleep anymore without taking a sleep aid, I break down crying randomly throughout the day, and I’ve been very close to harming myself. I haven’t bleed, but I have bruised myself. I can’t handle stand your “I won’t grow” mindset. I have given up on you coming over, I get it that could never happen right now. You made me believe it could for a year now. It not just that, it everything Jerson. I want

“Break the stupid rule, Eadlyn. Marry the man you love. If he’s good enough for you to approve of, then I certainly do. And if the people don’t, that can be their problem. Because who are you?’
It’s four o’clock in the afternoon and the sun is still shining bright in Fort Jackson, South Carolina. It is hot outside, about 99 degrees. My heart is pounding with fear of the unknown. The bus stops and the doors fold open. A soldier comes running up the bus stairs in a round brown hat screaming at the top of his lungs, “Get off the bus, now soldiers!” I jump out of my seat and immediately rush to the front of the bus, along with about twenty other new recruits. I have no idea what to expect but have heard the horror stories about basic training and how much the Drill Sergeants yell and apparently this Drill Sergeant has a set of lungs on him that could dwarf a bullhorn.
Hesitantly, Stuart answered, “Honestly, I don’t know any marriage that doesn’t have some form of disagreement. That’s how it evolves.”
“I believe marriage is not just a bond, but a sacred bond between a man and a woman […] the fundamental bedrock principle that [marriage] exists between a man and a woman.”
But, for now, let’s get back to my mama. So, the way I figured it… My mama takes off because she just couldn’t deal with Grandma Lyanna’s weirdness, or her reputation, or all the dicks in her hometown talking shit about the two of them. (I can relate.) So, she leaves home at eighteen for the South and spends the next two and a half years partying in N’awlins. (That’s New Orleans for you Yankees who read this.) Until one day, she finds herself knocked-up with me, compliments of some dirt bag and a bottle of
Liusu was silent for a while, but finally she burst out: “Why not go ahead and just say, flat out, that you don’t want to marry me, and leave it at that! Why beat around the bush, with all this talk of not being able to decide things? Even a conservative person like me can say, ‘First marriage for the family, second marriage for oneself.’ If someone as free and unburdened as you are can’t decide for
