When they arrive to the edges of their land they can see water; lots of it. There are also trillions of really tiny rocks that are between the Nacirema's driving path and the water. When the Nacirema walk on rocks, they feel soft.

Jamie Nabozny was a victim of bullying all throughout middle and high school. He was physically and verbally abused on many occasions due to his sexual orientation/identifying as gay. Jamie felt trapped and hopeless after being relentlessly bullied day after day. Language and culture are interconnected. The matter of how they are intertwined vary according to history and culture. Such variations are important to recognize when analyzing the effects of pivotal periods in history such as settler colonialism. Settler colonialism was a dark period in history and must continuously be recognized for its disturbing chronicle of events. The impacts of settler colonialism still reverberate today. Such impacts can be understood through the direct survivors of settler colonialism. In other words, indigenous nations. Despite centuries of attempted elimination, their presence continues to persevere. This does not exclude its losses, however. Many indigenous communities undergo threats of disappearing languages. Each indigenous language is affected by settler colonialism differently. So, for this research, the focus will be on the Nuu-chah-nulth language, which is spoken in the Nuu-chah-nulth region. Significance: Currently, about ten percent of the Nuu-chah-nulth population speak the native language, while even fewer speak fluently. The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) was created to protect Native artifacts and give proper recognition and ownership to the native tribe or direct descendants of which it is rightfully affiliated with. Cultural items include sacred objects, inherited objects, funerary objects, and human remains. NAGPRA is a federal law passed in 1990 that is used by federal agencies and all museums but is applied to anyone who discovers the listed above artifacts. This Act includes provisions for unclaimed and culturally unidentifiable items on Federal and tribal lands. There are penalties for those who do not comply or who partake in illegal trafficking. NAGPRA authorizes Federal grants to tribes, organizations, and museums to help with the documentation and repatriation of items. In the beginning, the animals believe that they are oppressed by humans. I believe that Old Major is repeating their exact thoughts - that their work is unjustified by the treatment they are receiving. Likewise, I think that Orwell was really clever in choosing to tell his story through the perspective of the animals rather than telling it from a human standpoint. The animals talk and act like humans, and this makes Animal Farm an allegory, or metaphor of human history. In effect, much of the animals’ actions can be predicted with the help of history.
