As part of “Dance Houston 2013”, the “Ndani” was performed on April sixth of the year two thousands and thirteen at the Wortham center. The dance executed by a group of eight young dancers, among which Otis Berry, was choreographed by Shaté Edwards. Miss Edwards has an engaged, skillful, and powerful style. Her background includes jazz, tap, stepping, modern and more. She is a Houston, Texas native, who attended college in Atlanta, Georgia, and has performed a lot in the U.S and China and has participated in numerous productions.

David Njoka is a tight end for the Cleveland Browns. Almost everyone who has played with him knows him as the freak. It’s not because he is weird or anything like that, but Njoku is just more athletic than anyone has ever seen. He has an amazing ability to jump sky high. In college he was on the track team along with football. At track he was highly know for his jumping abilities. So when it came to football he used that ability to leap over defenders to score touchdowns. Most of the Nacirema travel to the edges of their land during the warm period of the year. They pack their vehicles with large sacks that contain food, drinks, odd-looking tools, and shiny boards. When they arrive to the edges of their land they can see water; lots of it. There are also trillions of really tiny rocks that are between the Nacirema's driving path and the water. When the Nacirema walk on rocks, they feel soft.

The Nacirema is a North America group who lives around the area of Canadian Cree, the Yaqui, Tarahumare of Mexico, the Carib, and Arawak of Antilles. The ritual activity is a big part in the Nacirema's lives. They spend a considerable amount of time performing a secretive ceremonies and posses a great amount of tolerance. Their focus is on the human body appearance and health. It is to their believe that human body is viewed as ''ugly'' and ''debility and disease.” Hoping to eliminate those undesirable characteristic traits, the Nacirema's only hope is to do so through ritual activities hence the shrine is built inside of every house.

Sha Na Na, an American rock and roll group performed at Woodstock Festival in 1969. The group played nine songs including, Yakety Yak, Wipe Out and At the Hop achieved a national fame after that. There were a lot of members in the band, but here are 12 original performers, such as Alan Cooper (bass singer), Henry Gross (guitarist), Jocko Marcellino (drums), Rob Leonard (vocal) and Frederick “Dennis” Greene (vocal). Sha Na Na began singing in Columbia University and later on appeared in the film called Woodstock Film. Singing classic 1950s Doo-Wop and siminal rock and roll in gold lame outfits and greased up hairdos was the biggest impression public had of the group.

Miner (1956) discussed the body rituals among the Nacirema. The Nacirema are human beings, just like all other humans. They bleed, they love, they are born, and they die. However, for some reason, the Nacirema consider themselves a special breed of humans. This belief is so ingrained in their traditions and cultures that some have taken it to the extreme. Scholars have argued that the Nacirema’s inflated sense of pride stems from the greatness of their ancestors. They descended from a great group of warriors who came together and agreed on the future of their descendants. Born in Iran in 1957, Shirin Neshat has lived in America since 1974 and currently lives in New York City. As a visual feminist artist, Shirin Neshat works with the representation of Middle Eastern women with the use of black and white photographs. Due to the Iranian Revolution of 1979, Neshat was unable to visit her mother country until 1990. However, since 1996 Neshat is banned from ever entering Iran.

QP engaged Nayania in participating in a CBT activity geared towards self-respect. There is an animal in the Arctic Ocean called a Narwhal. There are three of predators for Narwhals. There predators include Killer Whales, Polar Bears, and Walruses. Narwhals can weigh up to 4,200 pounds! Narwhals don’t have a certain color for their whole life, they change colors! When they are born they are blue and gray, Juveniles are black and blue, and adults are mottled gray. Narwhals will eat Greenland halibut, Arctic and polar cod, squid, and shrimp. A Narwhal's tusk is actually an enlarged tooth with 10 million nerve endings inside.

Jamie Nabozny was a victim of bullying all throughout middle and high school. He was physically and verbally abused on many occasions due to his sexual orientation/identifying as gay. Jamie felt trapped and hopeless after being relentlessly bullied day after day. During one of these incidents, students repeatedly kicked Jamie in the library and by doing so (transition), left him aggrieved, bruised and bleeding (sensory details) with little to no self-esteem. Language and culture are interconnected. The matter of how they are intertwined vary according to history and culture. Such variations are important to recognize when analyzing the effects of pivotal periods in history such as settler colonialism. Settler colonialism was a dark period in history and must continuously be recognized for its disturbing chronicle of events. The impacts of settler colonialism still reverberate today. Such impacts can be understood through the direct survivors of settler colonialism. In other words, indigenous nations. Despite centuries of attempted elimination, their presence continues to persevere. This does not exclude its losses, however. Many indigenous communities undergo threats of disappearing languages. Each indigenous language is affected by settler colonialism differently. So, for this research, the focus will be on the Nuu-chah-nulth language, which is spoken in the Nuu-chah-nulth region. Significance: Currently, about ten percent of the Nuu-chah-nulth population speak the native language, while even fewer speak fluently. Thus, understanding what circumstances lead to this dilemma may contribute

The Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act (NAGPRA) was created to protect Native artifacts and give proper recognition and ownership to the native tribe or direct descendants of which it is rightfully affiliated with. Cultural items include sacred objects, inherited objects, funerary objects, and human remains. NAGPRA is a federal law passed in 1990 that is used by federal agencies and all museums but is applied to anyone who discovers the listed above artifacts. This Act includes provisions for unclaimed and culturally unidentifiable items on Federal and tribal lands. There are penalties for those who do not comply or who partake in illegal trafficking. NAGPRA authorizes Federal grants to tribes, organizations, and museums to help with the documentation and repatriation of items. There is a Review Committee to monitor the process and facilitate the resolutions for disputes.

What have you enjoyed the most about NAALA, and why does it matter to you?

In the beginning, the animals believe that they are oppressed by humans. I believe that Old Major is repeating their exact thoughts - that their work is unjustified by the treatment they are receiving. Likewise, I think that Orwell was really clever in choosing to tell his story through the perspective of the animals rather than telling it from a human standpoint. The animals talk and act like humans, and this makes Animal Farm an allegory, or metaphor of human history. In effect, much of the animals’ actions can be predicted with the help of history.
