The Industrial Revolution brought about a more advanced era with lasting effects. Due to these effects, we can live easier, more comfortable lives that last longer and are, in comparison, far better. Some of these effects are still evident today. However, not all of them were positive, nor were all of them negative. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily negative consequences for society because of poor living and working conditions, it was actually a positive thing for society. Industrialization’s positive effects included better business, a ready workforce, and more efficient machines, production, and transportation.

There were many inventions created to make life a lot easier, the main inventions were the steam engine. The steam engine was used in many industrial settings but mainly for mining. Another great invention was the cotton gin which is a machine which separates cotton fibers rom their seeds. This helped in making many cotton goods such as clothing during the industrial revolution. As well as inventions transport was improved and brought in. The improvement of living standards and education were raised very high. All children must now get a basic education and were all forced to take part in schooling. Working conditions improved majorly with safety. The working conditions for people during this time were now safer and more enjoyable. Hygiene improved rapidly as sewer systems improved during time. Soon after time better food and diet was found as there was a big change in the food produced as well as farming and crops. Many people discovered better medicine which helped with both children and adults’ health which meant better living. During this time frame, a variety of different machines were invented and put in factories to make workers and everyday people’s lives easier. These machines had to be run by people such as women and even children because the men were mostly in coal mines. Some of the many negative consequences about these new jobs and new machines being invented were; child labor, physical abuse on the job, and unsafe working conditions. While some might argue that Industrialization had primarily positive consequences for society because more jobs became available, it was actually a negative thing.

Though the Industrial Revolution led to new creations such, as the steam engine and the railroads, in order to produce these machines it requires a great deal of labor.

Prior to this even started, agriculturists needed to leave their property and urbanize to the urban areas. The main accessible occupation that required job was the frightening industrial facilities. These factories changed the lives of these agriculturalists by making them work numerous hours.

The biggest problem about the industrial Revolution was the matter of Child labor. Child labor was used and favored by many businesses because children could be paid less than women that could be paid less than men. (Document7) This part of the conversation on document 7 directly mentions child labor. Child labor began in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Children would work in mostly textile factories. Textile factories made cotton clothes to be sewn into clothing.

The Industrial revolution was established in England around the late 1700’s. During this time, there was an increase of production by mecheniary and new resources. Several negative and positives outcomes came from the Industrial Revolution. The Industrial revolution fundamentally chnaged British life in the early 1800s by polluting the envierment, appaling working conditions and leaading British to writte acts to protect childrens rights.

Also, the factory and workplace conditions were poor and not suitable for any person, let alone a child. There were several possible solutions to these problems that could have been implemented at the time. Because there was such a need to work in order for families to survive, child labor was on the rise during the Industrial Revolution. Before the Industrial Revolution, the items were mainly produced inside people’s homes, this system was called ‘Cottage Industry’. The people who worked like this usually used basic machines or hand tools. The Cottage Industry produced efficient items but made them at a slow rate because the products were manufactured by humans and were supposed to be more pleasing. Mass production of items and goods was a ginormous improvement during the Industrial Revolution because it made it easier to produce a large quantity in little time which meant that the industry was producing more in an abbreviated period. The Industrial Revolution had many negative affects on people. Many people worked from home before the Revolution. Raw materials were delivered to people's cottages and the weavers would process the wool in their homes. This was an advantage for the workers because they would make their own schedules and work at their own pace; however, for these same reasons, they were disadvantages for business owners. The Industrial Revolution made it possible to move the jobs from cottages to factories where they business owners can oversee the workers and account for their time. Some people considered the factory jobs a blessing while others considered it a hardship. The work day was long, conditions were unsanitary and food was sparse.

The Industrial Revolution had many positive and negative impacts on society. The positive include cheaper clothes, more job opportunities, and improvement in transportation. And the negative would include exploitation of women and children, workers work long hours and environmental damages. These are just a few that I believe had an impact on the Industrial Revolution.

The Industrial revolution was a time in American history in which factories and manufacturing business thrived. During the Industrialization period in the U.S the mass increase of immigration also helped to build America into what it is today. The Industrial age not only was a positive effect on American, but a negative effect towards the factory workers. Because of this the industrial revolution interpreted a variety of perspectives from the factory workers, factory owners, the government, and also those who´ve observed the conditions in those industrialized cities during that time.
