There are satellite campuses in the cities of Grants, Carlsbad, Alamogordo and Dona Ana. There are also research centers in various locations an extension campus office located in all of New Mexico 's counties. New Mexico State University is divided into the Colleges of Honors, Business, Education, Engineering, Health and Social Services, Arts and Sciences and Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences. New Mexico State University is home to one of the few NASA Space Grant programs. The National Science Foundation consistently ranks the university as a leader of science, agriculture, engineering and medical research and development. These research activities and programs strengthen academic programs, attract funding support and provide training and employment opportunities. For example, the Agricultural Experiment Station provides students with opportunities to learn natural resources management and environmental quality testing. The Arrowhead Center provides students with technology incubation, business assistance and IPR training. New Mexico State University earns over $150 million per year for applied
The history of Texas A&M University, the first public institution of higher education in Texas. The Texas A&M University was first approved by the United States Congress on July 2, 1862. This act provided for donation of public land to the states for the purpose of funding higher education whose “leading object shall be, without excluding other scientific and classical studies, and including military tactics, to teach such branches of learning as are related to agriculture and mechanic arts." The State of Texas agreed to create a college under the terms of the morrill act in November 1866, but actual formation didn’t come until the establishment of the Agricultural and mechanical College of Texas by the state legislature on April 17, 1871. A commission created to locate the institution accepted the offer of 2,416 acres of land from the citizens of Brazos County
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is perhaps the most well known space agency in the world. Since its formation in 19581, it has pioneered in space science, yet is also renowned for its large budget. NASA has the highest budget of any space agency, $18.6 billion2 in 2015, the equivalent of every American paying $54 towards the agency3, meaning 0.14% of total GDP is spent on NASA3 . This money is spent on the ISS, sending astronauts, probes and satellites into space, astrophysics and planetary science research, maintaining and developing NASA’s space telescopes (the Wide Field Infrared Survey telescope searching for dark energy and exoplanets, the James Webb Space Telescope and the Hubble Space Telescope) and developing spacecraft2. Space exploration is an incredibly expensive process with one shuttle launch costing $450 million4 however NASA’s colossal budget benefits the USA greatly; the agency employs 18,000 people5 as astronauts, engineers, scientists and teachers and G. Scott Hubbard, former director of the NASA Ames Research Center estimates that every dollar spent on NASA returns $8 to the economy6.While this figure is an estimate, it demonstrates NASA’s worth and capacity for money making. NASA works on pioneering research and as its patents and licenses return to the US treasury, it
For the social science lens, we will be looking at the shift in the economics for space exploration in the recent years.
In the past 50 years, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has sent out many planned space exploration missions which have lead to numerous advantages in society and culture. NASA’s technologies benefit American lives with the innumerable important breakthroughs by creating new markets that have spurred the economy and changed countless lives in many ways. NASA is a federal agency and receives its fundings from the annual federal budget passed by the United States Congress. However, there are conflicting opinions that consider whether or not funding for NASA is a waste of government spending.

Education in Mexico is divided in to five levels, Preschool, Elementary, Junior High, High School, and Universities. Preschool is required for all children from ages 3-5. Students upon completion receive a graduation document which is required before entering primary school. Their third year of preschool is equivalent to America’s kindergarten. The main objective is to promote the comprehensive development of emotional, social, physical, and cognitive skills in young children, while meeting the expectations of their age and social environment. Elementary school or primary school is required for all children in grades 1st through 6th grade it consists of general education, and community programs where students are introduced to the scientific and social aspects such as biology, chemistry, physics, foreign language, arts, and technology. Junior High or La Secundaria is grades 7th through 9th, and is part of the basic compulsory education system. At this level, more specialized subjects may be taught such as physics and chemistry, and world history. There is also the technical school which provides vocational training, and the telesecundarias which provides distance learning for students in rural communities. High school or preparatory o media superior which consists of grades 10th through 12th is not mandatory and are only found in urban areas and makes education costly for students living in rural areas. There are two main kinds of high school

It was made as one of four Arkansas secondary schools to show agribusiness, agriculture and the craft of material assembling. Today, the college gifts bachelor's, expert's and doctoral degrees through its different universities. With front line research capacities, Arkansas State is expanding on its initial hundred years and looking to what's to come.
Just like any other state, New Mexico has an amazing and interesting history. The first Spanish settlement was founded in 1598 along the Rio Grande by the Spanish explorer Juan de Onate. Just twelve years later, in 1610 Santa Fe was made the capital of the territory that later became New Mexico and Arizona. In 1848 the U.S. had acquired most of the territory as the result of the Mexican War. The remainder was acquired in 1853 in a deal known as the Gadsden Purchase. During the Civil War Union and Confederate troops clashed in the territory. In 1886 the territory was the site of the surrender of Geronimo.
Middle Tennessee State University (MTSU) is one of the largest universities in Tennessee; however, they do not offer enough housing to provide for all of their students. As a result, students are expected to find their own housing off-campus. Hence, students must live in off-campus apartment complexes that are expensive, too far away, and difficult for young students to rent. While there are some benefits to off-campus housing, students face many problems in securing these types of housing situations. The prices of off-campus housing are high and the locations are often too far away from campus to walk. In addition, many apartment complexes do not want young, college-aged people living there.
This is my first semester at New Mexico State University and I am over all loving the experience. There aren’t many flaws here at New Mexico State University in my opinion however my proposal will be something that I am currently pretty actively involved in on campus, and that is the Greek life here at New Mexico State University. In just my short time here on campus no other program or organization has stood out or had near the effect Greek life has had on me thus far. Within New Mexico State University you find people in Greek life everywhere you go, we have members in ASNMSU, the president of ASNMSU is a Greek. There are Greeks in almost every organization on campus. You find us working jobs on campus, and no matter where you find one, Greeks play a pretty active role here on campus.

Montana State University Montana State University vs. University of Virginia A Tale of Two Colleges Simon Ljunggren -01911283 11/01/2017 Montana State University. What is the first thing that comes to mind when we hear these words? For those who have never lived or heard of the state, they may think it’s a university that exists in Canada or a college that teaches students how to live in the wilderness for the rest of their lives. However, for those who are familiar with the campus and its state, a lot comes to mind when they hear the words MSU.
The first reason why the government should remain the use of its space program is the jobs that come along with the program. From engineers to scientist there are many jobs that correlate with the space program.”It is important to remember that the $2.5 billion investment made in this project was not spent on Mars, but right here on Earth, supporting more than 7,000 jobs in at least 31 states.” (Bolden, Charles.) Even though the unemployment rate is not as high as expected, if this program was cut the rate would grow immensely.
