The observation of one’s day becomes knowledge to said person. When this becomes fact, how can you disprove this knowledge to said person? The answer being research. But, what if this has been fact to someone their entire life? The following myth is one that when asked to another on the street it seems obvious. Men and women communicate differently. It’s so clear there doesn’t even need to be research on it! However, this is not the case. Men and women do indeed communicate similarly using a few examples of nonverbal communication, responses to certain situations, and the way of speaking to animals. The myth, men and women communicate differently, is stating that no matter what situation and/or type of communication it will be different. When attempting to search for how they do indeed communicate differently, business ethics are the first to arise. There is no doubt that men are more prideful and women are more emotional in their responses and listening tactics (Sanow one). Each “fact” is based purely off observation. Another another from psych central states that men talk with a purpose while women talk to talk (cite). Women are looking more for nurturing conversation as men just want a productive and to the point conversation. Both articles pinpoint women as more emotional in communication.
